Should we really argue about this? Holiday drama.

  1. loveayomidelace: I think in the UK people don't care. We say Merry Christmas.... It doesn't really have Christian connotations like that. I feel like American's are very sensitive when it comes to this.
  2. Christina Gonzales: Merry Christmas !
  3. Juliana Koziol: I think it's ridiculous that we've come to the point where we can't wish someone the best without people getting offended. If you say Merry Christmas, great! It's not like that person is throwing Jesus at you. It's their way of wishing you the best. If you say Happy Holidays, that's great too! It's inclusive, thoughtful, and sweet. In the end, the people who argue severely about this aren't the ones who mean what they say. So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!! ❤
  4. Tiffany CrazyLife: Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! I say both
  5. makeupmama: I say Merry Christmas because it is what I celebrate!
  6. Rainbow tribe: Romia Parvez aren’t you like 30?
  7. Debbie Dattilo: People get offended by EVERYTHING these days. People get a life and let people live theirs. It’s a dumb argument
  8. Eric Kim: Christianity First!
  9. cherrydarling909: Anyone know the REAL reason y him and COCKleen broke up?
  10. Neta McKinney: something wicked I’m sorry to hear that. I know a lot of people have a hard time standing out as different from this world and adhering to God’s law. Not that I’m say that is your situation. Being 21 is hard. I found my whole 20,s hard. I choose baptism when I was 14 and I’m 43. Before that I grew up in a very alcoholic family and other serious problems. Learning Jehovah’s teachings saved my life. Literally. And gave our family a happier out come. I hope you find your happy
  11. Heidi Sankey: Merry Christmas 👸
  12. laribugg: I like this!
  13. Jamie Grimes: Merry Christmas when it's Christmas day and happy holidays during the days before and after Christmas day
  14. jimntom1: Happy Holidays. That covers everybody.....
  15. Tracy Parks: Happy Holidays
  16. Lizzie Burke: I just wanted to say you are incredible. I know you probably get so many messages like this but i’ve been reading all the tweets and comments you’ve received recently (good and bad). You are one of the strongest people i’ve ever heard of. Life is hard, people are mean, people leave us and it hurts like hell. It’s so difficult for anyone to move on but especially when you’re in the public eye. I can’t imagine but that just makes you even stronger. God bless you Josh, you and your gorgeous wife and your future little family. I know it’s difficult but try to remember the good comments, all the people who support you, i’ve watched you for years and I appreciate how honest you’ve been on your struggles- even if you think it was messy or went about the wrong way it reminds us that you’re human. Like all of us, you struggle and you grow as best you can. God bless you, keeping you in prayers always.
  17. Abbey Hardy: What do th8nk about collens new baby
  18. Neely Shah: There's literally no point in making a video like this. This is so boring and a sad attempt at getting views. No one cares that much about "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays". If you don't celebrate Christmas, you can say "Merry Christmas", "Happy Holidays" or anything else. If you do celebrate Christmas, you can say "Merry Christmas", "Happy Holidays", or anything else. It literally doesn't matter. There's nothing wrong with saying "Merry Christmas"; it's not excluding anyone, it's just expressing the most commonly celebrated holiday of the season. Saying "Happy Holidays" isn't the liberal agenda, it's saying "Happy ALL the Holidays". Just let people say what they want because every slogan is a positive message.
  19. Sarcastically_me: So many useless arguments nowadays. I have friends that have the same political views as me, and friends that don’t. We’re all fine. Some of my best friends in high school were Muslim and we all celebrated each other’s holidays. No one took offense to anything. I graduated in 2005, it wasn’t that long ago, and I can’t believe how the world is today. We never had these problems, we didn’t need to put labels on everything and everyone. Merry Christmas wasn’t offensive and neither was happy Hanukkah or anything else. We should be free to celebrate whatever we are.
  20. Happyinhi 7: Hi Joshua: I'm not on twitter, so I can't comment there, but I saw your tweets. I'm sorry that there have been unkind comments. The amazing Helen Keller wrote, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows." Keep your eyes on God, Pamela, your family, your friends, Shadow, all that is beautiful in your life, Joshua. If social media is unkind, turn away from it, and turn your face to the sunshine. Take care, Josh!
  21. Sydney Rube: LOVE YOU JOSH!!!! Hope you and pamela are doing great :) supporter since 2014 over here!!
  22. Kaylee Butler: As a Christian I would never be offended if my Jewish friend said “happy Hanukkah” to me. Because they are wishing me well. Just as they wouldn’t get offended at me for wishing them merry Christmas because I’m wishing them well.
  23. sister snatched: You have a very punchable face
  24. Frances Boulden: I say them both. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. And they can reply back to what is comfortable to them. But at least I know I covered my basis and didn't offed anyone.
  25. Nubia Flores: Why?
  26. Jessica Loyd: Like you I was born and raised in the bible belt, this entire video is literally my thought too. It's about spreading the love and Joy of the season. Thank you for this Josh
  27. pepperoni mocha: His face pisses me off lol
  28. Cantelope Strawberry: Saying “Merry Christmas”, “Happy Holidays”, “Happy Hanukkah”, “Happy Kwanza” shouldn’t be offensive unless someone means for it to be offensive honestly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  29. Nikki Towry: I totally see both sides to! My husband thinks its it can be a slippery slope though... Instead of to each his own, walmart won't even allow there employees to say Merry Christmas.. Only happy holidays. And once things start getting into the school system, colleges etc. Then where else and WHAT else is going to happen from there? Slippery slope. But I do understand both sides. I didn't even celebrate holidays growing up, as I was a Jehovah's Witness. Now I do as an adult. I see both sides.
  30. Mary Mintz: I’m from Alabama, and as I’ve grown up I’ve tried my best to become open minded and more welcoming to the thought of other cultures and religions. I grew up in a very conservative family and church. As a Christian myself I do celebrate Christmas, but I respect others for choosing either not to celebrate, or celebrate whatever they choose. I love Jesus. I celebrate him. But I also know he wants us to celebrate each other and love each other. If someone doesn’t want to believe the same way I do, that’s totally cool. Hell, no one knows all the answers. We’re all just down here winging it. We just have to respect one another. Show a little love ❤️ so happy holidays everyone ❤️
  31. liveyourlife510: i don't care at all, i just don't say anthing regarding the holidays of any sort to people, but if by chance I am I say merry christmas because that is also what i have always celebrated but if someone responds with happy holidays I'm not going to be upset about it. Just say whatever you want, respond with whatever you celebrate I will appreciate any type of holiday greeting. People just need to be offended about something always it seems, the world is not right if someone is not offended by something that literally doesn't matter at all.
  32. Inayah Cee: Nobody gets offended by Happy Holidays. I want you to name ONE person who has started an argument with you about you saying that to them. Can't name anyone? EXACTLY. News outlets like Fox news are just stirring up unneccessary drama. The only people you'd hear this from are the cowardly keyboard warriors on Twitter. Just forget them, Happy Holidays is inclusive. It's sweet and it makes people happy. ❤️
  33. Imageartists: I yell bottoms up. Oh and I worked on *NSYNC’s first video, ask me anything.
  34. tweetyericsson: Once again religion divides people.
  35. Thomas Bracken: +Speak the Truth yes we all need to be true ourselves. Thanks
  36. MsKawi300: Till death do us part... again... lol
  37. hunny bum: I’d say merry Christmas on Christmas and Happy holidays for the season leading up to Christmas (:
  38. LittleMilkJug: +Chloe _ I know exactly what you mean.
  39. oui: What's Hari Rays?! I've never heard of that!
  40. Toochie: This has been a discussion that has been going on for years. Just because you havent had it, doesn't mean he's reaching. 🙄
  41. Amanda: Religious people are just dumb
  42. Lola: Wtf? How is this a problem? I do not get it
  43. helenakeating: Let's just let people say what they want to say. If I say Merry Christmas, I don't say it to offend those who don't celebrate it, its just a phrase. But so is happy holidays. Its about spreading good cheer. Just say what you want and if someone doesn't say the same thing, big deal!
  44. Tina Phillips: well... since this is america and we have freedom of religion and such, you should say whatever you want, and respect how others celebrate as well.. i say "Merry Christmas" , if someone says "Happy Holidays" in return, i respect that. say thank you, and go about my day...
  45. Eva_G: Proud conservative.
  46. Juliana Koziol: +safalafagins I will say that is a good point and I respect that. But what about, for instane, the people in the UK who call "vacations" "holidays"? Saying "happy holiday" is the same as saying "have a good vacation". Also, I understand words and phrase connected with the holiday season can be a trigger for some, I completely understand and sympathize with that, truly. But, if I were to substitute, or make an exception, for every word that was a trigger for one person and one person and one person, I would have to talk like Kevin Malone. Why waste time say lot word, when few word do trick?
  47. Shelley Barrett: I've only ever thought of "happy holidays" to include Christmas and New Years. No big deal.
  48. Yazmin Pedraza: People need to know that we all have different religions you can't change how people say or celebrate just because you think is offended why do people do that I don't get . I have a friend that does not celebrate Christmas and we don't need to like the same things please people don't get mad at each other just because you have different, opinions and religions please don't forget
  49. Romia Parvez: Jessica S exactly my point
  50. maigynlove: I celebrate yule and not Christmas. I say "happy holidays" to everyone as it's more inclusive of all holidays around that time. I do say "happy/merry Christmas" on Christmas to those who I know celebrate it (much like I would wish someone a happy birthday on their birthday) or blessed yule or happy Hanukkah to those whom I know celebrate those holidays. But generally, i stick to happy holidays.
  51. Azaeliah of the South: RIP channel 😴
  52. Jayme Karissa: Merry Christmas
  53. Samantha Trujillo: I usually say Merry Christmas but if I am talking to a person that I dont know too much about, I'll say Happy Holidays
  54. Speak the Truth: +kmc7291- I can see where that might happen. It makes me sad though if we let relatively small issues divide us It makes it so much harder to navigate the larger things.
  55. Ling Ling Wong Wai -: jennifblair I bet he isn’t over it I think deep down even though he is married he is destroyed and burning with anger on the inside.
  56. jade leitner: you have beautiful thoughts... thank you josh <3
  57. Netflix & Music: Maybe it's because I live in Arkansas, but everyone pretty much says Merry Christmas 🤣😂
  58. Chloe _: Are we seriously going to continue with the clickbaity titles that were said to be gone several weeks ago? I mean, do what you want, I'm just wondering. This title says "Pamela and I are arguing about something to do with Christmas" and I'm sure others would agree with me. I know, every YouTuber uses some form of clickbait, but don't say you don't want to "exploit" your relationship, criticize others for doing just that, and then do it yourself anyway.
  59. It's Eboni: This a thing? I may slap someone if they get mad at my greeting to you. 💀
  60. Mike Hall: Sooo, just be nice to people.
  61. Stephany Dove: Josh has so many talents! I think he should move on from youtube, really all social media! Start fresh in something new and very different! I believe he can make his dreams come true! I dont know, i just have a feeling that there is something better out here just waiting for him!
  62. Nikita MacLeod: Merry Christmas because its a Christian holiday, if other people that aren't Christian want to take part in out traditions or at least accept that were celebrating Christmas they should be okay with that. Not everything old and traditional should be chucked, its important.
  63. Natasha Saralegui: There is no need to argue about this. It is stupid, pointless and a waste of time. If I say Merry Christmas and someone says Happy Hanukkah. It will be fine. I wont be offended.
  64. Amberlynn 18: Merry Christmas AND Happy Holidays, to all! I have lived in NY my entire life. I’ve never had anyone get offended, at least that I know of. Not to sure I care they do. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
  65. Skirt running: +oui it's a festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_al-Fitr
  66. Speak the Truth: +poeticeclipse- I wonder that too. Drama and conflict sell, unfortunately. It's so detrimental to our interpersonal relationships though.
  67. Theresa Alvarado: I say Happy Holidays from about the beginning of November until about 3 days before Christmas and 3 days after, then I say Merry Christmas.
  68. Brooke Salas: +jennifblair They have! 3 people on separate occasions have, and I thought it was completely ridiculous. Pretty much because they had no good reason for it except that it was offensive to them (Not because of their beliefs, religion or lack of etc. They just didn't like it.).
  69. Kaitlin Smith: I say merry christmas, but I don't necciseraly think that it matters! They are still wishing you happiness on that moment/celebration!
  70. Snicker's WorldYT: I say: Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! Much LOVE from South Texas! "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVANS"
  71. Music Resources, Gaming, Nicole Marie T: I am a Christian so I prefer saying Merry Christmas but at the same time also understand why people say Happy Holidays too. You could just merge it somehow...Happy Christday...yeah, not sure if that would work, but hey, works for me 🤣
  72. Terri Fenwick: For me, it’s Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. But to each his or her own. No drama. No discussion needed. Period ♥️
  73. Artartbaby: I’m Jewish and I feel included when people choose to say happy holidays rather than just merry Christmas, it makes me feel less like an other. I cant tell you how many times throughout my life I have felt like an outsider because of my religion so it is upsetting to see people get angry that they aren’t saying merry Christmas anymore because they obviously aren’t thinking about how it feels to be any other religion during holiday season. And happy holidays includes Christmas, it’s just also wishing all of the other people who don’t celebrate Christmas a happy holiday which i think is the way it should be!
  74. rover F: your are looking healthier and happier 😊
  75. PrincessAcacia: I’d just say “Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy winter solstice! Happy birthday! Merry snow day! Happy kiss day!” and any other event! lol also who said that they’re not allowed, it is just about being consciously aware that everyone else is also celebrating something! 😄 So just celebrate 🎉 the more the merrier, right?! Would you like some cake? 🍰✨
  76. Ali Cia: I say merry Christmas because its what I celebrate. I then hope people reply with “happy ...” whatever they celebrate. My best friend from childhood is Jewish and we have always told each other merry Christmas, happy Easter and then she tells me happy Hanukkah and happy pass over. I fact it’s been a tradition she would come color Easter eggs with my family and I would go over to her house to make matzoh ball soup during pass over. We were never offended, our families never told us we had to stick to our own religion, we were just about being together. And now as adults with families of our own, her family comes to my house color Easter eggs and I even make them a basket. And my family goes to her house and plays dreidel during a night of Hanukkah and we’re all just freaking happy and full of love and celebrating each other’s journey.
  77. Debbie Dattilo: It has nothing to do with this video but are you still friends with Julian Arnold and Matt slays? I haven’t heard you mention them in at least two years and you all were so close. I’m just wondering.
  78. Bebe Queen: I say, 'Merry Christmas.' I have had people tell me they dont celebrate Christmas, then I say, 'Happy Holidays all the same!' I have never had someone get offended. When it comes to parties at work, everyone comes. It was always known, if you celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, let us know. We will put all kinds of decor up. I never seen someone get offended or mad. All anyone has done was educate the office or group of friends I was in.
  79. rando: I think people need to be way more tolerant. Like just treat merry Christmas as a way to say I hope you have a great break with your family. People just need to stop being offended.
  80. Samantha Damian: rover F oh lolll
  81. 22Autumn: I was ringing the bell for the salvation army outside a local store and we were told to say happy holidays so we wouldn't offend anyone but there were some people who would grumble "just say merry Christmas" idk, I think saying happy holidays is a great way to please everyone and I think that's a great way to include people too
  82. jennifblair: Has anyone been offended when you said "Merry Christmas" to them?
  83. adrienne xxx: Merry Christmas Josh! I hope you and your wife have a great one!
  84. Arturas: *YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING CRYBABY, IT IS TIME TO GROW UP AND STOP BEING PUSSY* !!
  85. cybertree: Personally if I celebrated Kwanzaa and somebody wished me a Merry Christmas, I would genuinely thank them for the effort to be nice. My question is: *Who is actually grumpy enough to say:*"ACTUALLY, I don't celebrate Christmas, can I speak to your manager?" I don't really think that person deserves a happy holiday...that's like sociopathically weird.
  86. jennifblair: But it's very rare that anyone actually gets offended by it. It's just a made up "war" the media decided to start.
  87. skinny kween: I use both. It’s just whatever comes out I guess lol. I celebrate Christmas and so I say Merry Christmas. If I know for sure someone does not celebrate Christmas that is when I use it. I was told “Happy Hanukkah” today at a store. I wasn’t offended because I knew they meant it with a good heart. Say whatever you want lol. The only issue I have is when someone forces me to say one thing or another. It is a form of fascism. That’s all lol.
  88. Adam Davis: I say both, Happy holidays doesn’t offend me because it’s inclusive, meaning it is like them saying merry Christmas to me as that’s the Holliday I celebrate. I have friends who celebrate other Holliday’s this month and while my friends don’t get upset if someone wishes them Merry Christmas, some can, so saying something like Happy Holliday’s is nice middle ground. It’s also not taking Christmas out of it, or being politically correct, it’s about being a decent human and not pushing your religion on others who may not celebrate it.
  89. EMERYTHEQUEEN SKINNYLEGEND: 😢
  90. Aloha Hawaii: IS THIS DRAMA BECAUSE OF COLLEEN’S BABY
  91. Lauren H: This is the content you come back with? 🙄
  92. Emily Bickel: As long as we're allowed to say merry christmas without getting in trouble at school and work then that is great! I say happy holidays when I'm dealing with people i don't know but normally i say merry christmas until my school didn't allow it. Not allowing the phrase is TOTALLY WRONG. Both phrases are great but neither should be problematic.
  93. wdunderdog: Josh, I appreciate you much but you are confused. It's not about appeasing the world, i.e. NY, CA, the press.. It's what's in YOUR heart. Jesus asked Peter: Who do YOU say I am"? Peter''s response: You are the Son of the living God. Matthew 16. That's the question for all Christians. PC is dying. I wish you all the best and Merry Christmas, friend.
  94. Jim Waters: waste of time.. fuck off
  95. Bunny Casablancas: I miss your old content. It's always just serious discussions, "learning lessons." Always trying to change people. And you care way too what people think everything you say or do now is overthought and not fun anymore or entertaining. I miss the Kale loving, high tops obsessed, and hung out with his friends Josh the one who was just himself. This new version of you is boring. And so constricted. Always referencing your hard past in a shape or form. I'm not hating just expressing I lost the YouTuber I used to love watching. This new guy I don't know who he is.
  96. Natalie V: I like this type of video. Interesting, inclusive topic, no cheesy background music. Good job Josh :) keep it up!
  97. Ethel thethird: But is not about what people think. Is about the provved fact JesusChrist born in this season. The kings who went to Betleham and discover the child werent believers of the saviour, but was a fact .
  98. Brooke Salas: My thought is this. Why can't everyone just say Merry Christmas and Happy holidays as 1 sentence?! I don't like happy holidays alone because it is Christmas time. I celebrate Christmas and so I want to be able to say Merry Christmas without people getting offended or needing to be pc. Our culture has gotten WAY too pc and censored. If someone told me Happy Chanukah or Happy Kwanzaa, I wouldn't be offended because that's what they celebrate. I wouldn't say "oh you can't say that, it's only Merry Christmas" or "Umm, you need to say happy holidays". No, because that's their holiday and belief, religion or tradition so they should be allowed to say that and be respected. I believe it's the same for us who believe in and celebrate Christmas! Plus, Christmas doesn't have to be religious. Yes, Christians celebrate it and it has a special meaning in our hearts, but for decades people said Merry Christmas with no religious connotations to it. When it's Halloween or thanksgiving, we don't say Happy holidays, we say Happy Thanksgiving or Happy Halloween, even though not everyone celebrates them. People in other countries (besides Canada) don't have Thanksgiving and I, and a lot of people i know are not fans of Halloween, but I don't care if someone wishes me a happy Halloween. That's the holiday that's present at that time. So all of this to say, you should be able to celebrate and say whatever the heck you want to say or celebrate, without people getting so easily offended. Oh, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 😉
  99. Cheree Disharoon: I say Merry CHRISTmas b/c I celebrate the birth of my Savior! Merry Christmas to all!
  100. Chloe _: You know what drives me nuts? People who say "you can't say anything without offending someone these days!" You know who says that? My 92 year old great grandpa! Do you know how long people have been getting offended for? Since Christopher Columbus came over here took credit for discovering America! If people didn't get offended, women wouldn't vote, black people wouldn't work, and the Jewish population would be totally wiped out! Politically correct is a relatively new term and I get that, but is the concept really that new? Words change and ideas change which changes what is acceptable and "right" to say. It's just the way it is. We live in America: the country of change. As Americans, we are also protected under the first amendment right. So say "merry Christmas!" Say "happy Holidays!" I don't freaking care! Just stop saying it's annoying that people are getting offended because to you I'd say "you're a hypocrite." You're offended by people being offended. How ironic. Just, spread happiness, not hate, and learn how to function and communicate like the human beings we are. Thanks, and happy holidays.
  101. jennifblair: I agree with everything you said except the persecution part. Christianity is the least persecuted religion at this time.
  102. Christy Norris: IT'S MERRY CHRISTMAS! STOP TAKING CHRIST OUT OF EVERYTHING!!
  103. Sparkasaurus: I say both Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays when I don't know what other people believe. If I know they share religious beliefs about Nativity, then I'll say Merry Christmas. I don't feel cheated out by saying Happy Holidays. I feel I'm sharing good cheer regardless of the words I say.
  104. TorontoMetalMom: Missing THE GODDAMN point.
  105. Andrea Weber: Happy Holidays‼️
  106. Hope goes a long way: I live in Georgia also. Athens GA actually and we usually say happy holidays when u talk you someone in the store. Even with family members who celebrate Christmas we will say like, have a good holiday. And I feel like it's been like that since I was born.
  107. safalafagins: I used to say "happy holidays" but one of my friends I realized is a Jehovah's Witnesses (I personally am not at all religious of any kind), and she does not celebrate holidays. She does not go to our company's holiday party either simply because it is called "holiday" party. So, I had been trying to think of what else to say. I have been switching to saying "over the break" instead of "over the holidays." I realize not everyone has a break during those days though, so maybe it's better to say "season". Holidays themselves are also quite triggering to some folks with trauma, so I think I've just stopped saying anything with holiday cheer altogether. Anyway, all of that is to say that I personally don't understand why people are so hung up over the fact that they can't say "Merry Christmas" or "happy holidays" anymore. I have absolutely NO ISSUE changing what I say, if it means that one person will feel better and more included as a result of it. I don't understand why to people, the ability to say a sentence or a word is worth more than someone's feelings. I don't think the onus should be on the individual to "stop being offending", I think the onus should be on the speaker to switch their choice of words.
  108. Toochie: Why is this necessary? Did that make you feel better? You people can be so cruel and mean.
  109. Theah Lawrence: Saying happy holidays isn’t offensive. Why can’t we include everyone? People need to just be nicer. That is one of the most important parts of this season!
  110. Natalee Denlinger: I haven’t watched in months and damn he looks different
  111. Shelby Smith: You say Merry Christmas!!! First off, when you say Merry Christmas it's not like you're saying hey go read the bible and remember to pray..say Merry Christmas! Second off, we need to remember the real reason for the season and keep Christ in CHRISTmas
  112. Kevin G: WISELY SPOKEN
  113. KineticFetus: As ironic as it is, outrage culture pisses me right off.
  114. Melissa Swartzfager: Wish you uploaded more:(
  115. jennifblair: Smh...no.
  116. Jason Mims: I had a talk with my mom about this because she told me at her job they can't do anything realating to Christmas such as no secret Santa or ugly sweater party. Her office now has a End of the year party. She then told me that the reason for this is her company was sued over the use of Christmas by people who don't celebrate it. So here's my opinion: If a person's religion dosent belive in the celebration of Christmas that is the choice of the individual and the individual only. That does not give a person the right to dictate what another choses to celebrate. Now here's the part that's probably going to make people mad but this is the truth; I feel that people who have moved to the United States have forced the county to change its customs to accomadate their beliefs. If an American went to a culture that didn't celebrate Christmas and that person expressed offense and attempted to force that culture into celebrating Christmas there would be no accommodation instead there would be ridicule and abuse. So why do we as Americans have to be forced into the accommodation of the beliefs of people whom made a conscious decision relocate to nation that celebrates the birth of Christ. That is not far. So I'm going conclude this by saying Merry Christmas.
  117. NatBat: The thing is that conservative Christians don't want to hear "happy Hanukkah", they want to strictly hear "merry Christmas" from everyone. Most normal people don't care what seasonal greeting someone else gives but people like my father get offended over "Happy holidays" and anything not Christian. "Happy holidays" isn't even about being politically correct. Some people view happy holidays as just Christmas and New year's being put together in one greeting. They're not even thinking of including other holidays which is fine. Fox news made all this shit up because they didn't have a real scandals to cover for a long time
  118. Kimberley Neale: Just like Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah, Christians celebrate Christmas. We don’t get offended that Hanukkah is called Hanukkah, and we respect that it is a time they use to celebrate their faith. In the same way, no matter what anybody has made Christmas, the original purpose of the day is celebrate the birth of Jesus. However, it is not a holiday to exclude non-Christians. Jesus was not interested in hanging out with just the people that believed in him. He was more interested in those who did not, and he loved on them. If we exclude non-christians, then this day just becomes some religious ritual. Celebrating Christmas is about spreading love. Despite people’s choices. Because that is who Jesus was. I think keep Christmas. But for those people at the office who don’t celebrate christmas, give them the choice, don’t change the name. Tell them it will just be a time to come, hang out and be loved.
  119. Dawn Johnson: How come your sister stop uploading new YouTube videos. I miss her and her cooking videos
  120. Emma A: The fact that people are arguing about this blows my damn mind. Some people are battling cancer or going through other hardships rn and there’s really people arguing about this??? SMH
  121. Cyndy Kated: and staying in budget!...lol
  122. Bean's House Elf: It's really simple. "Merry Christmas" is inclusive. "Happy Holidays" is for everyone. The bottom line: not everyone celebrates Christmas. To INSIST on saying "Merry Christmas" is Christian-centrist, and you're putting *your* beliefs over the actual intent of a "greeting." If you are at a church function, if you've known someone forever, if it's clear they're a Christian (wearing a cross), whatever, then by all means, say "Merry Christmas." But to strangers it's presumptive. If you genuinely want to wish them well during this festive time say "Happy Holidays." And by the same token, it doesn't offend me when someone says "Merry Christmas," I assume they mean well and move on.
  123. kysbeej: Im not offended by people saying either, but I think we as a society need to stop trying to correct everything to be "non-offensive" and instead encourage people to stop CHOSING to be offended by everything. Basically I support your right to be offended, but your right to be offended isn't more important than anyone else's rights. People choose to be offended that someone says merry Christmas, and others are offended that someone says happy holidays instead of merry Christmas. It is NOT POSSIBLE to NEVER offend people. Instead judge not the words but the intent. If someone says merry Christmas and their intent is "yay be filled with joy, I love this holiday and want to express that to you" stop choosing to be offended, but if they say merry Christmas specifically to you because what they are really saying is "I know you don't like when I say this to you, so now Im going to say it just to irritate you" then you go ahead and be offended, because they intended for you to be offended.
  124. editingtea_: Tbh its literally only some parts of America that have this problem. I don't live in America but literally I see it there bc offended states/nation.
  125. Eva_G: It's getting ridiculous. It's almost like being a Christian is seen as something bad nowadays. I always say Merry Christmas. Edit: I do sometimes say Happy Holidays depending who I'm talking to.
  126. B !: Josh, I think you could be making much better content than this. This is dragged on and an already discussed topic. i think you're a really nice, creative guy and I think you could do a lot more, a lot better. don't post just to post. love you and keep your head up!
  127. Sandy Davidson: Merry Christmas.
  128. Cheapnista: The "you should only say Merry Christmas" people have now become more annoying than the "I'm offended that you say Merry Christmas" people. I'm 38 years old and don't recall Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays being offensive to anyone growing up. I'm also Christian and don't have a problem with anyone saying Happy Holidays.
  129. Toochie: I agree. If only if was that easy🤷‍♀️
  130. Jasmine Johnson: something wicked trust me when I said it takes every fiber in my body to keep it cool. Lol. I’m starting to lose patients as time goes on though. I don’t know why people won’t just leave Joshua alone so he can move on with his life and continue to do the things that make him happy. He has a lovely wife and a fresh start yet people won’t let him be. I don’t understand.
  131. Makenzie Jones: I think you should say what ever you want. If you’ve said Merry Christmas all your life, then say it. If the person you’re saying it to doesn’t celebrate Christmas their response back will most likely be Happy holidays. Just be respectful. And maybe if you know someone doesn’t celebrate Christmas then say Happy Holidays. Or here’s another option, just don’t say anything. Just say have a great day.
  132. A Nother: What i find offensive is when Christians try justifying eating pork is okay, arghh no it is not, read the bible.
  133. Jonas Flynn.: I grew up on Merry Christmas, so around my area, I say that. I get so nervous about this topic so this is good advice.
  134. moon light: I'm agnostic and have zero interest in religion, but I literally don't give a crap what people say because it's all positive and well wishes. I agree with happy holidays more just because it applies to EVERYONE, but if someone Merry Christmas, I don't get offended and am still thankful for their kindness. People are always offended. Happy Holidays is more inclusive, though. But this is also such a petty thing to fight over in the grand scheme of things.
  135. Kaylee Troiano: I love you!!!!
  136. Aspie Answers: I feel that sometimes no matter how or what we say, in wishing people all the best for Christmas and different seasons of traditions/celebrations. We should be able to at least say "Merry Christmas". It is all about trying to include others in whatever way possible. I find that it is going PC about what we need to try and accept others differences. I agree that we should be able to agree to disagree etc. Yes, we should be inclusive of others. :) Thanks for this, Josh as many of this I heard from you is true. Some countries do tend to not say Merry Christmas anymore. Yes, love, joy. peace and hope to one another. As you end your outro, "be kind to each other." There's more I would like to say yet will need to share it later. Blessings, Josh.
  137. jeddawiya: I say everything....personally I feel why not wish everyone a happy whatever they celebrate. They celebrate Christmas then wish them a Merry Christmas. They celebrate Hannukah, then a Happy Hannukah. Eid, Happy Eid. Kwanza, Happy Kwanza. Diwali, Happy Diwali. Don't understand why everyone is getting all offended. As long as you aren't being offensive there isn't anything wrong. I feel like everyone wants to be angry all the time about everything. Let's just be happy wish a happy everything to everyone. Ya know?
  138. Tina Davies: something wicked 🙃
  139. Samantha Gerbrandt: I say Merry Christmas because it's what I've said my whole life and I'm not going to change just because someone gets offended. If someone says Happy Holidays to me, great, I'll say you too. People need to get the fuck over themselves. You say Happy a Holidays to me, and then I say Merry Christmas to you, we smile and part ways. There, not that hard.
  140. |NinjaCakes|: How bout this, don’t say anything :)
  141. So interesting: Jesus said "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".
  142. shauna Malcolm: I don’t celebrate anything because I’m Muslim so I just smell and wish ppl happy holidays
  143. Melissa Byers: I personally say Marry Christmas because that’s what I celebrate but I don’t take offense when someone tells me happy holidays or happy Hanukkah. I miss n’sync too!! Lol
  144. Tee Lee: I don't mind saying Happy Holidays. But if I say Merry Christmas, I certainly don't feel like having someone look at me and say, "It's Happy Holidays, you b****". And that HAS happened before. That's so intolerant it's ridiculous. It's not what you say that's the problem - it's how someone chooses to take it.
  145. rover F: Samantha Damian you are *
  146. Stephanie Carlson: I just say both. I have merry Christmas and happy holidays. So I say merry Christmas for those who celebrate and happy holidays for everyone else and I include New Years in the happy holidays.
  147. Fatma Aljumaa: You aploted this in my birthday 🎂
  148. Linda Jones: Not one person this year or even last year has said to me Happy Holidays. I love Merry Christmas.
  149. stefan goatmoon: WTF happened with your sisters channel? she still alive?
  150. Lisi R.: Your face looks fat. Happy cookie season for you, huh? 😂
  151. AnnalynRose 27: I thought people said happy holidays because they were putting Christmas and the new year together. I’m out of the loop!! Lol
  152. Michelle Jacksier: Ohh the discussion is alive! Great topic, Josh! I go back and forth on what I say to people. My December greeting is largely situational. On December 24-25, it's Merry Christmas. I don't wish people a happy St. Patrick's day on Thanksgiving, so why would Christmas be any different? I don't think it is appropriate to assume everyone in the USA is Christian. Also, I can tell you that Jews find it odd to be wished a happy Chanukah if it isn't actually during the 8 days of Chanukah. So unless it is, in fact Christmas, Chanukah, Eid or Kwanzaa, I'm wishing you happy holidays. December is full of holidays and none of them are offensive. So regardless of what day it is, if you wish me good things, then I'm going to thank you. I think people forget that when you wish someone a happy whatever, it is for THEM, and not for YOU. There is nothing offensive about wishing people joy, happiness and health. Or fun. Have fun.
  153. BeckhamBelieves: Happy holidays covers everything from Nov 1-Dec 31st. Christmas Day, say Merry Christmas, because THAT is Christmas day, but otherwise there are multiple religions celebrating. That BS argument of it always being that way so why change?? Well, so was slavery, so was womens suffrage. Guess what? It changed as people became wiser and kinder.
  154. poeticeclipse: +Wheelz Haskell First of all, I'm 30, not a kid. But, thank you for making me feel young and talked down. Secondly, our Founding Fathers didn't lean on Protestant principles to write important documents and form the government. The Constitution doesn't reference a particular God or religion. Some leaders back then were more religious than others.
  155. Nicole Menard: My fave Christmas song :)
  156. cybertree: Same here, I think the ability to "read the room" helps alot in this situation. Like the saying "That's gay.", I'd never say that around anybody that wasn't one of my closest friends, because we grew up with the connotation that it basically means "lame". That does not mean we think homosexuality is lame whatsoever, I love gay people, I think it's awesome. Just you know, sometimes something is kinda gay, like fidget spinners.
  157. frulupa frulupinson: Grow up
  158. it's me CL: Can we take a moment for NSYNC please?!😍 Was listening to their music this week with that song on repeat. 😁
  159. CrashAgainstMySkin: Maybe because I grew up in NYC and was exposed to other cultures in my 25 years of life, I've never once seen the problem in saying Happy Holidays. It's not political and it's not an agenda, it's just being kind to others around you and respecting their culture and beliefs. How it became negative is baffling to me.
  160. Glutamate Sulphate: yeah you should understand that US wilk always be christian dominated just like saudi arabia is muslim dominated.....
  161. LunasDaughter: I agree with you, Juliana Koziol, except that every December, I am surrounded by people, who I don't even know, outwardly exclaiming in public places that it's MERRY CHRISTMAS, blah blah blah. It WOULD have been a nice sentiment, until they literally do shove "Merry Christmas" down the throats of all the people I know who celebrate Chanukah, or the Winter Solstice. Maybe it is just the area where I live, and maybe you live in a more accepting area (and that's awesome! :) ), but for many, it really is a huge deal, and Christians all over get offended when others who don't celebrate their holiday decide to be all-inclusive rather than presumptuous.
  162. Blessed Mess Of 3: Merry Christmas Joshua!!!
  163. Beamer's World: Christmas is a national holiday. So "Merry Christmas" is the American thing to say. Doesn't mean there are NO OTHER HOLIDAYS, Christmas just happens to be the NATIONAL one.
  164. indistinctcolor: I can't believe people are still talking about this.
  165. Statia Manger: cybertree I think it’s important to have a person or two in your life, who are your safe space. Where you can word diarrhea and they know it’s just words and not who you truly are as a person. Because sometimes it’s just words to relieve a pressure valve. Nothing more.
  166. AlphaJumbo: Everyone has different sayings for christmas some people say merry christmas some people say happy holidays and in europe they say happy christmas
  167. poeticeclipse: "I honestly don't know who these people are who are offended." I agree, 10000% I totally believe the war on Christmas is manufactured. Anything to get us stirring and arguing. Anything to create a "us vs them" mentality.
  168. Kyutenessss: Macon and Warner Robin's are the same. I feel like he threw us under the bus to make a point. I have never heard anyone get upset about happy holidays here. I see it on the news and I'm sure there are some but it isn't the majority.
  169. kris: Brooke Allen This!!!
  170. Laura S: Happy Xmas!
  171. VeganVintageGeek: Merry Christmas, 🙋‍♀️🎄🎊🎉 Happy Holidays, for sure no! I work with the public and most people want to say Merry Christmas. But some people stop themselves from saying it, only as you said Josh to not offend anyone. When I noticed this I new I had to fix it so everyone who wants to say Merry Christmas to me will be able to openly do so. And its the easiest thing to do, wear a Christmas sweater or Christmas vest. Last year I bought an ugly Christmas button up sweater vest from the thrift store. I wore it to work and I got tons of nice compliments on my sweater vest, and lots of happy people getting the chance to say Merry Christmas since they no longer needed to guess.☺
  172. Trish Rowland: I agree with you. I would be delighted to have anyone wish me a Happy Holidays, or Merry Christmas, or Happy Honakka, or any thing else. How could anyone be offended by good wishes? I am Christian by the way.
  173. Emily Crowe: that is a great point. i would have never thought of that. thanks! #LearnSomethingNewEveryDay
  174. RobynL: I say "Merry Christmas". As a Christian, it has a very significant meaning to me. However, lots of people say "Merry Christmas" out of habit/tradition and aren't Christian. Not everyone has the same attachment to it for the same reasons. If someone wants to say, "Happy Holidays" then go ahead! I'm not going to get offended about that and they shouldn't get offended about what I say (but if you want to be offended, then also go ahead!). We're sharing a sentiment from our own perspectives but I'm not pushing Christianity on anyone by saying it. If it's taken that way, then that's on them. They're spinning it that way and making assumptions about me and what I've said, my intentions, etc. and we can have a conversation around that if necessary, but only a brief one, because I'm not spending a ton of time and energy defending something that doesn't need defending because it wasn't meant how you're taking it, anyway. But I'm also not going to change what I say. Because, again, it reflects what I believe. Me. Personally. Not what I am pushing you to believe. I'm not going to start saying, "Happy Holidays" just so no one gets offended and I don't think it should become the only acceptable greeting, either. Just say what resonates with YOU and MOVE. ON. I DO realize that some people ARE trying to be pushy about it, and that's not OK either. But everyone I've encountered (in 37 years) has not gotten up in arms about one or the other. However, people get offended like it's their JOB, lately. Maybe EVERYONE needs to take the mental energy that goes into fighting about this and put it into helping people in some real way that actually matters.
  175. Harry Krinkle: I am completely secular and quite happy to have Christmas be a universal holiday. That said, I'm always happy to hear Merry Christmas, simply because Christmas is what I was raised with. It's not a rational thing, it'd be best to have it be as universal as possible, but that's where I am. I'm never offended to hear "Happy Holidays," I think it's asinine to say this is a "War on Christmas," and even if all of this weren't the case, Fox News would find something else to be offended about, because that's just kinda what they are.
  176. Alex: I think this world needs to be more accepting and inclusive of everyone, so if saying happy holidays instead of merry Christmas is a small way in ensuring that, then I think we should all strive to do so.. it’s really not going to kill you to say happy holidays to strangers, and leave the “merry Christmas” for your family and friends who celebrate it
  177. MsWingzy: Just throwing Merry Christmas around to strangers or mixed company is inconsiderate because it assumes that everyone is Christian. And many other citizens of the USA aren’t Christian! It would be like wishing any woman you saw a “Happy Mother’s Day” on Mother’s Day just because she is a woman, without knowing if she has a child, or even wants/can have children. Now if you know you are in the company of other Christians, then go ahead and wish them a Merry Christmas.
  178. poeticeclipse: WHO is telling you that you have to say Happy Holidays? Where did this idea come from that that phrase in particular meant "support all religions"? No one is telling you not to say "Merry Christmas" and if someone wishes you "Happy Holidays" I surely hope you are happy that someone said something kind to you and wished you well.
  179. Peachy E: In the UK we mostly still say Merry Christmas because the word "holiday" for us means vacation, not specifically a traditionally named event or day. We have no issue or debate here.
  180. Ada Hall: As a Christian I don't see a problem with Happy Holidays. My only "issue" is Merry xmas 😱
  181. Dalia Barraza: I love Merry Christmas 🎄 but I don’t mind saying happy holidays ❄️ I like either and we should be open to both
  182. Gabbie Logan: Hi josh.
  183. Jaime Knarr: It's Eboni Xmas vs Christmas is also a thing.
  184. Leah: I typically say merry Christmas if I’m in my town. In a big city I would say happy holidays. But either way I don’t see why people are offended. I celebrate Christmas and if somebody says happy (anyother holiday) I would smile and say it back.. bc it should be a HAPPY holiday no matter which holiday. Who cares. ;)
  185. Erin Hartwich: I don’t think that this an argument worth having. How about we say what we would like to say/are comfortable with...and others put their big kid pants on and don’t get offended over everything. Why have things been so touchy the last few years? So frustrating! 🤯
  186. Alex Perez: Exactly we need to celebrate eachother
  187. Jabbachan: I understand where people are coming from but i grew up saying "merry Christmas" i didnt change myself saying until i started working in retail and seeing different people and different cultures. But i dont feel like im in the wrong if i say one thing and besides other countries like canada celebrate boxing day. So thats all i have to say enjoy your weekend everyone 😁😎
  188. annax151: I’m Christian and I’m proud of that, however I don’t judge those who are not. I say Merry Christmas because it’s what I celebrate this time of year but I am in no way offended by someone’s response if they say Happy Hollidays or Happy Hanukkah. I think we’re all too afraid of offending each other that we are getting to the point of being afraid to be proud of who we are.
  189. God Of Destruction Mums: something wicked a sweet that's black
  190. May Son: The real question is what the fuck is that tree?!?!?
  191. Emily Conrad: I am a conservative Christian and I totally agree with you. To force my reason for the season on other seems inconsiderate! And what better way to love on others like Christ is to make them feel belonging and acceptance. Thanks for a non fight inducing attitude, josh.
  192. That's What "i" Said: Totally agree. I'm an atheist, and I LOVE Christmas! I have my own traditions from childhood, have made new ones for my family, and I enjoy the best part of it all: the love and bonding during this lovely season. Nobody tell me I should not celebrate it, or I have no right to. It is special to me too. Merry Christmas, and enjoy the season, everyone!
  193. Rosie Rennie: So are the idiots of the world gonna forget Kwanzaa and Hanukkah? Or Three Kings Day? Jeez, this world is going to pot -_- We have many different religions and many different cultures. In Japan and China they celebrate Valentines Day and eat KFC on the 25th December. No one gets butthurt about that Happy Holidays, folks Be Safe. Be Merry and most of all be Kind to each other
  194. Anna Huber: I grew up in Maryland. At work, they told us to wish customers a “happy holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas” ... I moved to Florida last year and started working at a restaurant. On the way out, I wished a family “happy holidays” and received a “wow she’s not even allowed to say merry Christmas” comment. I was really just trying to to be considerate, but this guy couldn’t not get butthurt 🙄
  195. Ellie Davis: I think it’s fine to say either, I don’t even think about it. I say Christmas because I am a Christian, but if someone says holidays that’s fine I don’t care, but just keep an open mind and don’t overthink everything
  196. Limesoul: I work at a place speaking with so many different types of people. Thanks Josh, and N' Sync,  I think I'll say both; for me and for them.
  197. Lorie Lee: So interesting - yes and amen! That is TRUTH 🙌
  198. lilribbit19: I say happy holidays all December because I’m including even New Years. When it’s dec 24/25 I’m saying merry Christmas. So far nobody has been offended when I say happy holidays.
  199. hope kray: how do u feel about colleen’s baby ?
  200. poeticeclipse: I sometimes type "xmas" simply because it's a fun short-handed way of saying Christmas. Not to take Christ out.
  201. Ellie Davis: I think our society is too worried about being politically correct. I think we need to think about people intentions, not what they said. I’m sure someone saying “Merry Christmas” probably wasn’t intently trying to exclude people.
  202. Sierra Travels: Merry Christmas Josh!
  203. Brittney Lanpher: I think if you celebrate Christmas, then say Merry Christmas. If you celebrate Kwanzaa, say happy Kwanzaa. Just say whatever it is that you celebrate.
  204. Amanda Price: Everyone gets offended when you say Merry Christmas! But guess what I say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Lol I’m Christian and that’s what I say :)
  205. Periwinkle Dee: Romia Parvez - Now you know. Don't come back. Bye
  206. Melissa Seng: People should say whatever they choose and should stop getting offended over the craziest things. We live in a society now that includes people that cannot be happy unless there is drama or something negative to discuss. Even seasons greetings is fine. Covers the full spectrum. I’ve said Merry Christmas to Jewish people and other religions. To me it’s the thought that counts. If the recipient of your greeting gets offended then they didn’t deserve the sentiment to begin with. Someone acknowledged you positively with a smile. Take that for what it’s worth.
  207. Pedro Guilherme: Dude wtf is this video?
  208. Alicia Reader: I think you should say whatever YOU celebrate and they should feel comfortable to say whatever THEY celebrate. Put your big girl/boy panties on and stopping being so overly sensitive about everything. I don’t think we need to have a discussion about this.
  209. Poodle: I think people need to stop being offended and just let people be. Not everything is done to be offensive.
  210. Rachel Eh?: You look great! I hope you are doing well. I think people should be able to say what they want. I'm a Christian, I say both, I would never intentionally say Merry Christmas to someone who is Jewish or any other belief system that doesn't celebrate Christmas. I wouldn't be offended if someone said happy holidays to me. I don't think it makes much of a difference, unless you are intentionally saying it to someone to make them feel excluded or alienate them. But, I definitely do think there is persecution on the other side towards Christians now and we almost aren't even allowed to speak of religion in anyway, so I don't think people should tell us we can't say Merry Christmas, especially if we only have good intentions or we are saying it to people who celebrate it, cause that's like us saying you can't say happy holidays, because we specifically celebrate Christmas, you know what I mean? I wouldn't be offended if a Jewish person said Happy Hanukkah to me on the other hand. I wouldn't say Merry Christmas to them on purpose but I wouldn't be mad if they said Hanukkah to me. I think there are many angles, things aren't always black and white. It's *kinda* like saying to a British person, they can't say Happy Christmas because that is pretty much just a British thing and most of the world says Merry Christmas, so they should too. It's good to be considerate of others when you speak, but it's also good to be considerate and respectful towards people who come from different backgrounds then you. Bless you all. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc..
  211. Orsi Dirda: we're too pc these days. and by that i mean ppl online like to get offended, disregarding the intent behind words. i wish merry christmas to everyone because that's what i'm used to. i'm not religious but we here celebrate christmas so it's my default. but if someone says i don't celebrate it i wish them happy holidays or whatever they celebrate. because what i'd like to do is wishing everyone a good time. :) and in reverse no matter what someone else wishes for me (i mean if it's a good thing) i'm happy for it.
  212. Shannon Rodriguez: I'm not offended or upset. Christmas is about Christ. The holiday season has over the years strayed from the birth of Christ as the reason for the season.
  213. Alie Smith: Love you, missed you!! ❤❤❤ and also...Merry Christmas AND happy holidays Josh 😉😊
  214. Toochie: It's actually not pointless, because quite a few people are having this debate. Just because you aren't, doesn't mean its pointless. I don't understand people like you that feel the need to be shitty to people. If you don't like his content, don't watch it. 🙄
  215. Toochie: Anyone know why you are asking this 2 years later? So unnecessary.
  216. Speak the Truth: I am a looong time military spouse. I have lived in many different states and even different countries. I have wished people both Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Never, in 52 years, have I ever had someone recoil when I wish them whatever. Without fail, I have received a smile and a good wish in return. I honestly don't know who these people are who are offended. I really wonder if it's more of a jumping off point for manufactured drama than anything real. (NOT saying this about Josh's video, but about the subject itself) If somebody wants to wish me well, I am very happy to receive that and reciprocate. Nobody can take Christmas from you if it resides where it's supposed to: in your heart. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, Internet! I hope it's wonderful and bright for you however you choose to celebrate. Hugs!
  217. R: +something wicked he probably changed the title after the comment?
  218. Derek 22: i just say have a happy new year. play it safe boss
  219. Sabrina Simpson: Happy holidays = everyone who wants to celebrate whatever events in the holiday season Merry Christmas = Obviously it’s specific to Christmas What’s offensive about saying something that includes everyone? That’s like if a male firefighter got mad that someone called him a firefighter instead of a fireman because he’s like “WHOA I am a MAN and I’ve been a man my entire life so HOW DARE YOU suddenly decide to call me something general that doesn’t highlight and celebrate the fact that I’m a man?!” That would be ridiculous lol
  220. poeticeclipse: It's a nation with people from all religions. Say whatever you want to say and be happy someone wished you well.
  221. Marissa Thompson: hi josh
  222. LunasDaughter: I am surprised by all the "this is old" and "you should post better content than this" comments on this video. I wonder if most of Josh's fans live in more liberal/accepting areas? Because where I live, come every December, I can't go ANYwhere without hearing a very sneering "It's merry CHRISTMAS, not happy holidays," from random strangers in public places all the time! This isn't "old," this is still a huge thing in many conservative areas. Many conservative Christians, from what I observe, are convinced that they are the only "correct" religious view, and everyone else is wrong, and if you follow different beliefs, they are very vocal about letting you know that you are wrong, and in many cases, letting you know that you are going to go to Hell. Pretty hurtful and judgmental coming from a religion that preaches love and open arms. I think that, rather than assuming everyone follows one specific set of views, that it is a kind and openminded practice to wish someone happy holidays. Most people celebrate SOMEthing during this time of year. I half-celebrate Christmas, but my spiritual beliefs are more on the winter solstice spectrum. If someone wishes me Merry Christmas, I wish them a merry Christmas. But if I don't know what someone celebrates, I don't want to assume they celebrate Christmas, and I will wish them a happy holidays, with love. If they are going to be insulted by being wished happy holidays, that says more about their narrow-mindedness than it does my not wanting to assume what holiday they celebrate. Stupidest thing to argue about, in my opinion. So many terrible things out there, but one's fear of a "war on Christmas" shows me the kind of luxury and comfort you live in, if one phrase is considered a "war."
  223. Rachel Eh?: THIS IS PERFECT
  224. Pooh & Stitch: say either. I'm a Christian and Happy Holidays doesn't bother me. Let's just all BeNice To People!!!! ☺️❤️
  225. jliscorpio: Fox News? Spread some love and joy and turn that off. I live in NYC and automatically say Merry Christmas and no one has ever given a toss for me saying that. Nor have I ever had any issue with someone wishing me Happy Hannukah or Ramadan Kareem. Good wishes are good wishes as far as I'm concerned.
  226. William Phillips: When it comes to working in a restaurant or retail, i say Happy Holidays, even though i live in Idaho where it is mainly christian, I would not say Merry Christmas because I would not want to get yelled at by a customer and now they are offended and want to talk to the manager.
  227. Savannah Stelly: RIP *NSYNC
  228. JennaTAhaCx: I used to love your channel now all you talk about is drama no matter the subject. 👎🏻👎🏻
  229. Marlie Vélez: honestly, I couldn’t care less. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, so I’ve said “Feliz Navidad” my whole life. there’s no “Happy Holidays” in spanish, so... I don’t get the problem here. just say “Happy Holidays” and be respectful to everyone’s way of celebrating this season
  230. Karly Rosetti: My question is are there really people out there getting genuinely offended by someone offering them a kind sentiment? I feel like a lot of it is media fueled hype.
  231. Tronald Dumb: i don't fucking care. same as i am not getting offended by others no one else should be offended... I am not throwing jesus to anyone face but i am not going do deny I believe in Him . so i don't really give a f . i speak my mind and that's it hahahahah Merry F Christmas
  232. Chloe _: Low key, this was never even a big deal until right wing news and media turned it into a "War on Christmas" when that is never what progressives intended in the slightest. There isn't a group of people alive today that don't remember speech changing because times changed, whether it was called "pc" then or not. For example, racial slurs are unacceptable today and have been for years (though they are still used and I understand it is a huge problem). America is built on learning and changing to accept others. We also are built on our first amendment right. So say "merry Christmas!" Say "happy holidays!" I don't freaking care! But stop (I'm not saying I've seen it here, just in general) turning everything into a "war" and a reason to be mad at left wingers. Nobody is threatening your rights and nobody is trying to convert you away from Christianity It's really being blown out of proportions and quite childish.
  233. Kati Sangiorgi: How about we take a page from Christine Sydelko’s book and go with “Merry Chrysler?”
  234. Brittney Lanpher: Also, The Office is my ALL TIME FAVORITE show! I am watching it right now!
  235. TAYLOR GESSLER: In general, people are so high and mighty and sensitive. There is a lot of hate, racism, sexism, ect.. but if someone accidentally says merry Christmas to a jew or to a non Christmas celebrating atheist for example... let it go. Geez, they have good intentions and are just trying to wish you a happy loving holiday. Correct them, sure, but damn. It's not worth getting offended over.
  236. jennifblair: This country was occupied before Christians ever showed up. So, yes, what you just said is offensive.
  237. The Real Joe Bobsicle: I don’t celebrate anything but people can say whatever they want to me. Nbd.
  238. The Young Ones: Who’s really arguing.....you’re reaching dude. Get back to basics on your channel. Read the comments, no ones angry
  239. Lucía 102030: It’s clear that YouTube isn’t for you anymore
  240. Ethan Higgins 54: people need to chill the fuck out. calm your tits. i’m trying to fucking say something nice for the love of god
  241. Creative Cookie: I feel like we should say whatever comes to mind first. I usually say merry Christmas and a happy new year but if someone corrects me I say happy holidays.
  242. Holly Harris: Im more offended by a white Christmas tree..lol j/k
  243. Dillon King: Just another drama filled video. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. Saying happy holidays is for people that are too scared to admit they believe in God. Its MERRY CHRISTMAS not happy holidays.
  244. JadenChannelJ: Chrismahanukwanzakyule and that's only 4 of the 33+ holidays during December. Imagine being a part of the witchcraft community, and hearing Happy Yule apart from someone on a Tumblr feed.
  245. Monica: It doesnt matter. No need to get offended by everything
  246. Nubia Flores: jennifblair true.
  247. LarsHeat: Here's how we do it in Germany: All through December we say (translated): "Happy Yuletide/ Christmas Time/ Advent Time"... To people you know you say whichever fits best out of "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" although "Happy Holidays" is mostly referring to Christmas and New Year's. When there is sth like an office Christmas party, where not every one is Christian (well hardly anyone cause it's Germany) you say "Merry Christmas". Granted the German word for Christmas doesn't have Christ in it would literally say "Dedicated Night". I do generally prefer "Happy Holidays" though because it's all-inclusive rather than forcing Christmas on everyone.
  248. CaliforniaHuman: Such a made up politicized argument by Fox and other crazy right-wing people who just want to stir up controversy. My GRANDMOTHER who lived in the 1950s says she remembers everyone saying "Happy Holidays" back then. No one turned that into a "war on Christmas" back then, so why do we struggle with that phrase so much in modern society? Geez. I'm a Christian who celebrates Christmas and no one has ever offended me by saying "Happy Holidays".....because others wishing you well should always be met with gratitude.
  249. Alex Perez: We need to celebrate each other. Say what you want! I don't get mad when people say happy holidays or anything other than merry christmas. That's stupid.
  250. Heather Zarra: It's not worth the the argument in fact I use them interchangeably depending on who I'm around
  251. Bella: When it's early around Thanksgiving I will say Happy Holidays cos no one says Merry Thanksgiving but when it's close to Christmas time I will say Merry Christmas🎄
  252. hope kray: how do you feel about colleen’s baby boy ?
  253. Marissa Thompson: Bella Marie who r you
  254. Holly Greene: Both
  255. Gina: I say Merry Christmas, because that's what it is for *me. Most people are normal and say something nice back. Those who get offended are not even worth my time to be honest lol.
  256. machelle Turner: I normally say marry christmas unless I'm in public. When I'm in public I say happy holidays. Like if you agree
  257. Velazquez Fitness: Just say happy holidays. It covers all of the holidays and is just respectful. If people get pissed over other people being respectful then they have issues mentally.
  258. Star Mar: I am a Muslim and my friends celebrate Christmas I celebrate eid but whenever it is eid or Christmas we say happy holidays and I don’t think there should be an argument because I don’t celebrate Christmas and my friends don’t celebrate eid so we say happy holidays
  259. Sandra Cruz: merry chrsmas happy holidays everyone
  260. Thomas Bracken: +Ann S Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you
  261. Zaharah Games: I think that people need to stop looking for excuses to be offended and appreciate that someone is taking the time to wish a person well, whether that is saying "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" or any of the other ones (sorry I am ignorant to other celebrations at that time, being Australian). It's a tiny act of kindness and gratitude that is being turned into a bullshit argument like you said. Why not say, thanks man, you too!
  262. Alonso Goytia: I think we all need to get over ourselves and stop taking things up the bum Specifically talking about this debate though here is something I tend to follow, if they are strangers to me or I know they are Jewish or what have you I use the phrase "Happy Holidays" because I do not know what they celebrate or they celebrate something else but if they are Catholic or Christian etc I say "Merry Christmas" because they celebrate the specific holiday of Christmas
  263. jeddawiya: What's funny to me is there is a Christmas song called Happy Holiday composed by Irving Berlin during 1942 and popularized by Andy Williams. So saying happy holiday isn't something new.
  264. That's What "i" Said: I'm agnostic/atheist and "older" - and I love Christmas. I almost always say Merry Christmas. I live in a very diverse cultured area, so sometimes if I'm with someone I'm not sure about I might say, Enjoy the holidays! There are many celebrations during this season, and all of them are about love, sharing, bonding - all good stuff, right? If someone says Merry Christmas to me and I'm an atheist, I just say Merry Christmas back; IT'S THE SENTIMENT THAT COUNTS. Love and Peace, all. If I was inside a Christian church, yes, I'll o obviously say Merry Christmas when others say it. If I was in a different-religion church or temple, I'd say what they're saying to me. NO BIGGIE. It's not a contest, and no one "owns" Christmas. Embrace and spread the peace and love of the season; it's such a lovely time of the year!
  265. elisag27: Music Resources, Gaming, Nicole Marie T Happy Christmahannukwanzakah!
  266. Alie Smith: Do you wanna know what the most disturbing part of this whole video was? You didn't say "I love you, be nice to people, au revoir". I feel...incomplete, at the moment.
  267. Rachel Deller: I say happy holidays because I grew up celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah. Also because New Years is a holiday to me so it covers that too. Lately I’ll say whatever holiday it is that week since Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa don’t usually overlap. Have a great day!
  268. jalen renee: i say merry christmas because that’s what i celebrate. i also work at goodwill and when i check people out, i tell them merry christmas, whether i know them or not, therefore not knowing what they celebrate, because that’s what i celebrate. if someone told me happy holidays, or happy kwanza, hanukkah, etc. i would not be mad because that’s more than likely what they celebrate. i do think if a business or whatever wants to advertise christmas than they have the right to do so. we play christmas music at work right now and have the store decorated for christmas. things say merry christmas, there are christmas trees up, etc. and i think that’s perfectly okay because that’s what everyone that works there celebrates, but i do know the people that own the Chinese restaurant next to my work, are atheist therefore they do not acknowledge christmas at all in the restaurant, which is okay. i think more people are offended by merry christmas than there are happy holidays, but it does go both way. Christianity is the largest religion in the US so i think saying merry christmas is okay, because odds are, the person you’re talking to celebrates christmas. overall it shouldn’t matter what someone says, merry christmas, happy holidays, kwanzaa, hanukkah, whatever. just let people say what they want🤷🏼‍♀️ merry christmas, everyone!🎄
  269. Roshni Kashyap: How about saying happy celebration
  270. Minnie: It isnt that deep shut up
  271. AwkwardbutAwesome: We celebrate the birth of Christ and as such, we say Merry Christmas. I do not get upset if someone tells me Happy Holidays but I respond with Merry Christmas because it is what I am celebrating. I do not get upset when other religions celebrate their holidays and I am mot included. That is their culture and I am not part of that, and that's okay. In the same way, my religion's holidays shouldn't be taken away or belittled for the sake of inclusiveness. Everyone has the right to worship who they believe in and it feels like many say that but they do not mean Christians. They mean everyone but Protestant Christians.
  272. Jasmine Johnson: Samantha Damian Her baby has absolutely nothing to do with him. He’s living his own damn life. I expect nothing from a child though. They tend to lack maturity.
  273. LifeAsLauren: I just say “happy everything” lol. I just want the focus to be on wishing someone well, not any specific holiday.
  274. Jennifer Shakur: Nobody can say, or do anything, without offending someone. It's crazy. When I worked in childcare, we were not allowed to say Merry Christmas, or have a Christmas party. We had to have a holiday party, and say Happy Holidays. I get it, not everyone celebrates Christmas, and that's fine. But I grew up with Merry Christmas, Jesus, family, and giving. My mom didn't like when I, or others wrote x-mas. Because you're x-ing out Christ. So it will always be Merry Christmas for me.
  275. Ann S: Thomas Bracken Well said! Merry Christmas to you! I liked saying the pledge when little and today. I do not agree with many things said or done by others.....but each one has been given a free will to do with their time and words as they choose. There really is no argument to be had. Let's each as Josh has always said BE NICE TO PEOPLE! 🎄😊
  276. Kerensa Turner: I think happy holidays is great before Thanksgiving, closer to Thanksgiving it's Happy Thanksgiving. Then closer to Christmas I say Merry Christmas! Then Happy New Year!
  277. The Young Ones: Who’s really arguing.....you’re reaching dude. Get back to basics on your channel. Read the comments, no ones angry
  278. kateypie35: I say “have a wonderful holiday”. Covers everyone, cause not everyone celebrates Christmas. ..those getting offended seem to think their holiday is more important....people neec to get over themselves. This world is a mess.
  279. safalafagins: Disagree. I live in a pretty open-minded area, so maybe my experience is different than yours. I meet a lot of folks, and the thought of me dismissing any of their feelings as being "overly offended" feels extremely selfish of me. I think everyone should aim to be as inclusive as possible. I used to say "happy holidays" but one of my friends I realized is a Jehovah's Witnesses (I personally am not at all religious of any kind), and she does not celebrate holidays.
  280. Ariel Cross: Periwinkle Dee damn that's really not a good attitude to have
  281. Tori Renee: Poodle Agreed people complain about anything and everything and I also agree with Joshua
  282. Emily Dill: I tend to try and reflect what the person has said. If they tell me happy holidays I will say happy holidays. If they say merry Christmas I know they are fine with that and I'll say it back. It's just a matter of respect for each other
  283. elisag27: Harry Krinkle I mean seriously what news channel doesn’t find any chance to feel offended nowadays? 😂❤️
  284. LAV dur: I agree with you, Joshua.
  285. ItzLeo4375 X: Yup yup ❤️
  286. Сергей Комаров: I'm glad that Joshua has only such problems when millions die of hunger. In Russia " с Рождеством";)
  287. lσνє уσυяѕєlf: +something wicked LMFAO
  288. Emily Crowe: i am a Christian so i do say Merry Christmas. im not against someone who tells me happy holidays. America is prided on breaking away from church and state stuff. i think its wonderful that we are all different and i hate people being offended over everything!
  289. Dalia Barraza: Ali Cia love this!!!
  290. Sheena Aikins: I grew up in Charlotte North Carolina. We always said Merry Christmas. When I was 11 years old, we moved to Michigan, so of course, it was a different group of people. But we still always said Merry Christmas. Now, when I was 21, I moved to Southeastern Michigan, where the demographic is VERY diverse (which I love)! We have people from every religion/ethnic background/race/culture/etc. So, although I tend to say Merry Christmas (more out of habit than anything), I am by no means offended by people saying Happy Holidays. And I completely agree-Happy Holidays is definitely more inclusive. And dang it! You beat me to the 'NSync punchline (I was LITERALLY typing it as you said it lol).
  291. falconejo: ITS MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!! F**K EVERYONE ELSE PERIOD!!!!!!!!!! IM FROM THE BRONX NEW YORK. If you let this shit in now or let it go all together they WILL FORCE MORE SHIT ON YOU TILL NOTHING IS LEFT AT ALL.
  292. jennifblair: Oh no! I would feel awful if I had done that too. But, think of it this way: imagine how happy she was when she found there was no Santa and the other kids parents had been lying to them the whole time. 😂
  293. TBRTea Time: i say blessed yule or happy holidays. i grew up in a christian home, celebrating christmas, saying merry christmas, going to church every week, etc.... BUT I am now Pagan so i celebrate the winter solstice and yule, but my husband is christian so we still have gifts on christmas, but i personally celebrate yule. i dont think there should be any arguement and whenever someone says merry christmas or happy holidays to me, i smile and say thank you and respond with my own holiday greeting which is blessed yule or happy solstice
  294. Thomas Bracken: I really don't care what you say as long as I'm saying Merry Christmas that's how I feel you want to say happy holidays good for you that is all up to you as long as I have my freedom of speech about saying Merry Christmas without being offencive and I'm sorry I also grew up with Christmas holiday and Easter holiday I am not trying to be something that I'm not I'm not going to let someone else out there tell me how to speak and be politically correct well I'm sorry but you all can say what you want about winter break or fall break or whatever the break it is you just need to know that everyone should be allowed to say Merry Christmas or happy holidays or whatever and also with this winter break and all the other things because I feel like I'm the one being smashed out because I believe that if your kids want to do the Pledge of Allegiance that's another thing then let them do it if you're you don't want your kids doing it then they can sit down and not do it that's a simple as that we need to stop telling each other what to do because of some of the race or some other color trying to tell me how I should speak now and I'm not sorry I'm just going to be me
  295. Sara Hernandez: Merry Christmas- great! Happy Holidays- excellent! Happy Kwanza-wonderful! Happy Hanukkah-fantastic! I will never be offended when someone is trying to send some love this time of year. The intention positive. The specifics I don’t think should matter♥️
  296. C B: I am from Georgia. I celebrate Christmas. I say, “Merry Christmas,” in general. If I know someone is not Christian, I say, “Happy Holidays.” It isn’t because I’m being disrespectful...it’s only because that’s what I celebrate, so that’s what I say. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  297. holyspiritfirefall: Merry Christmas is what it has always been (Yes, I am from Georgia-too) for me and always will be-I feel you should be able to say BOTH (or any holiday greeting or even nothing) but know that Target stores will not allow their employees to say "Merry Christmas"....I no longer shop at Target!
  298. jennifblair: You hit the nail on the head. Many people are unhappy these days because it's hard to even keep food on the table. It's a struggle. Merry Christmas.
  299. rubymimosa: One of the most horrible I’ve ever felt was when I asked a child what Santa had brought her for Christmas. And her very sad faced reply was, “I’m Jewish”. I felt horrible and started saying Happy Holiday. I’ve had people reply, “No! Merry Christmas!” and then I just laugh and say Merry Christmas. I always try to be very inclusive in my language so I have said Happy Holidays for the past 20 years. If you are religious and speaking to someone you know celebrates Christmas then say Merry Christmas but I don’t think anyone should get offended if I say Happy Holidays to them.
  300. jennifblair: What does that have to do with the discussion?
  301. Autumn Banter: You can say merry christmas all you want but dont get mad when someone say happy holidays to you. Like they are saying merry Christmas to you but in a different way
  302. That's What "i" Said: Good point, I agree +Chloe _
  303. Color16: Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
  304. Hatsune Miku: How about a little F to the U to the C K LOL you dont need to put a hate comment up just SHHHH.....LMAO
  305. Cindy S: Amanda Price literally no one gets offended.
  306. Ash Kieswetter: I’m from Canada, and we have a wide ethnicity. I used to work in retail and whatever anyone would say to me I would say back. If someone wished me a happy holidays, merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, I’d say it right back even though I celebrate Christmas.
  307. elias winters: you watch fox news
  308. Jelly Bean: if people say Merry Christmas to me first I say it back. If I say it first I say happy holidays unless I know what they celebrate. Not only to be inclusive but because I’m also speaking of the new year. We have worse things to worry about than how we acknowledge holidays. Eventually people won’t be able to say hi without offending someone.
  309. Ruby Leslie: I say Merry Christmas but have no problem with Happy Holidays , Happy Hanukah or any other greetings , Happy Kwanzaa. Its all about celebrating and hope and don’t think any of these are wrong. Think there is much bigger issues to be concerned with. And when I meet people who celebrate other celebrations during like Eid, or Diwali i wish them well for those too. Just may not know what greetings they use so its usually wishing they enjoy the celebrations for it.
  310. Lily Smiles: “When I was 18 I moved to New York City. Okay. We’re not in the BIBLE BELT anymore” josh has got me cracking up over here
  311. Amy Jo: New Year's Eve is stupid...why do we not get excited about the eve of the 4th of July? Or summer? Why can't we celebrate them like we do Christmas? :)
  312. Toochie: Holy crap. Funny you are telling him to move on when he has and YOU haven't. Why be so.mean? This is so unnecessary.
  313. Julie Huebner: What's wrong with doing both? I like saying Merry Christmas, but if I know someone who is Jewish or celebrates a different holiday, then use that greeting.
  314. Laura Olivas: No arguments. MERRY CHRISTMAS 💞
  315. 409setx: It shouldn't even be a discussion. Say what you like and of someone gets offended it's their problem, not yours because you weren't trying to offend in the first place. People need to stop shoving political correctness doen everyone's throat. Say whatever you want.
  316. Brandy Klein: I mean these days I'm surprised if someone says anything at all. 😂
  317. Neta McKinney: I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. We don’t celebrate any of the holidays. I have never had an issue with someone saying whatever they wanted. It’s all about the spirit of love behind it. They are being nice. Let’s not discourage that!
  318. Victoria Keesee: I completely agree with you. I also came from ultra conservative and now understand that yeah this argument is silly but Happy Holidays includes everybody and that’s important to me.
  319. Sandra Cruz: percy jackson olipic
  320. jeddawiya: Love you Josh! ❤❤❤❤ I wish you a very Merry Christmas. 🎄🎄
  321. Samantha Damian: i say “happy birthday colleens new baby”
  322. Robin Rose: I celebrate Christmas and my boyfriend celebrates Hannukah. Here is the way i look at it because of his influence on the matter. Jews have a deep heritage of trying to be eradicated from the world and many feel the need to protect that from the christianization of the world. To him, Merry Christmas just reminds him of a horrible time when his people weren't welcome. Happy holidays is just more inclusive of all religions or practices and isn't that worth it to make everyone feel happy? People get offended by happy holidays because they think its removing christianity from the world but really its just encompassing everything.
  323. Molly York: Cool discussion. Just wanted to mention that a lot of people aren't aware that "Happy Holidays" actually means "Happy HOLYdays." That's where the phrase comes from. You do not have to celebrate these events in a religious way, but it is good to ACKNOWLEDGE where they came from. All of these are HOLYdays. They are religiously important to people, and that should be acknowledged no matter what--even if you don't want to celebrate them religiously.
  324. Annfam5: When I know that there are people around us that are not the same religion as I am, Happy Holidays. When I am around my family and those that celebrate Christmas, it is Merry Christmas. The season is about spreading joy to ALL. This season, and Jesus, welcomed ALL. No matter religion, belief, race, color or creed etc. that is the message that He spread. Inclusion on on fronts. I will adapt and care for those who don’t believe in what I believe. Because that is what HE did. Great talking point!
  325. lucy hellier: i say 'happy holidays'
  326. lσνє уσυяѕєlf: I smell trisha paytas
  327. ash !!: Avery Gaug hard agree. this is a 30 year old man liking dumb comments implying that his ex did him dirty, when they’re both in new relationships and have said no one cheated. he’s so desperate for views
  328. Kyutenessss: Omg!!!!!! I live in Warner Robins, GA! Lol Most of us are A LOT more diverse than people give us credit for. We aren't just a bunch of angry asshole who are upset some say happy holidays. I have never gotten into that argument. I say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas and have never caught hell for it. Of course, there are strict conservatives who probably do get upset by it but it's definitely not the majority. Edit: btw Warner robins is right below Macon, Ga and I go there all the time and have never heard of this issue there either. Both cities are actually pretty diverse tbh.
  329. Miss Psyko: Ali DiMarco he talked and talked and talked about it even after he got remarried
  330. JudeKEETER: This is useless
  331. Rena Ash: Merry Christmas Georgia girl here and I celebrate the birth of Christ.
  332. batman joker: I dont feel anyone should fight over it
  333. Taylor Williams: I think personally I don’t care how people respond, I’m not going to be offended, how someone addresses me (responds to me addressing them) especially if it’s a stranger in passing. If I say the “wrong” thing to someone it’s not on purpose it’s just that I don’t know them personally and I don’t mean to be rude or disrespectful. I will always do my best to say “Thank you, you too” or something to that effect. If I could direct people to Ch 1 of “How To Be A Bawse” by Lilly Singh, it’s called “Play Nintendo” It’s basically saying don’t try to control the people and things around you, control how you respond to them. ❤️
  334. Samantha Damian: something wicked i actaully am though so that wasn’t an insult lol
  335. B Mary: I think we can never guess or know what other people's believes or traditions are.. I say what I celebrate and is close to me, if someone responds differently than me at least that gives me a heads up that they maybe celebrate differently than I do. Then I can greet them with what is familiar with them. It won't change my personal beliefs or traditions. We don't have to be offended by what others say or believe in. We should always respect each other regardless.
  336. Bella Marie: Marissa Thompson hi
  337. Mrs. H: I live in the bible belt and almost everyone (including myself) says Merry Christmas. Every so often I might have someone tell me "Happy Holidays" and I always reply "Happy Holidays to you too!" I've never been offended by it. The person was polite enough to speak to me and wish me well, what's to be upset about? But I know people who get all kind of angry when someones says happy holidays to them! Like they'd probably react better if they were told to go screw themselves kind of angry.
  338. Statia Manger: It’s the sentiment for me. Someone took the time to acknowledge me. I thank them and reciprocate.
  339. Alex Perez: I say merry Christmas because that's what I celebrate 😊
  340. Mark Chitwood: I say both
  341. tiffy_ann77: People need to chill and stop being so offended over everything little thing. If someone is saying merry Christmas or happy holidays to you, it’s a nice thing. They could just say have a good day, but that’s not the point around this time of year. I love hearing when people say either because it’s just an overall happier time of year and it’s great to see people being nice to each other, especially when it seems we’re terrible to each all the other days of the year. Also, when people say happy holidays, I think that includes New Year’s Eve too. People just need to chill.
  342. staceyleigh7818: I prefer Merry Christmas!
  343. simetra: The Bing Crosby song "Happy Holiday" from 1942 is a beloved Christmas classic and nobody has ever gotten offended by that song. I grew up/still live on the SC/Georgia border and grew up saying saying both even though earlier in my life I just thought "Happy Holidays" was a quick way of saying "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year". People want things to get mad about.
  344. Amanda Nicole: I'm okay with whatever
  345. Sara Beth Stout: The X stands for the Greek letter X which is what the early Christians used as the short hand for Christ. So basically X-mas is Greek shorthand for Christmas. So it’s all ok!
  346. vladimir cortez: I actually use both. I'm a Christian and I say Merry Christmas to people who celebrate Christmas. I say happy holidays to people who actually doesn't have Christmas. It all boils down to respect. We need to respect everyone's belief, and not insist our own belief to anybody's throat.
  347. nvonedge: Happy holidays!!! 👍🏻
  348. Oceans Rise: We have the same name! DAVID!
  349. Andrea Sinclair Paz: I agree with josh you can say merry Christmas but include happy holiday that’s why sometimes we see and hear merry Christmas and happy holidays
  350. Leah: You currently live in Michigan? Or is that just one place you’ve lived?
  351. mama_mcke: Josh you’re spot on. The holiday season should be inclusive and focused on bringing joy and happiness to all, regardless of religion. I say “happy holidays!”, and it’s always a head scratcher when I’m greeted with Merry Christmas. The sentiment is appreciated, but how do you know if I even celebrate? 🤷🏼‍♀️
  352. Nathan Walker: I say Merry Christmas because the Christmas holiday to me isn't about Christ, I'm not religious and I don't believe in God. But Christmas to me is a Holiday. Christmas is for kids.....Santa and presents.....and a time for being with family. So, no matter what religion you are you can appreciate Merry Christmas.
  353. adam mac: Season's Greetings, Josh and Pamela! 😁 I celebrate Christmas but empathize with the concept of Happy Holidays to be more inclusive. Btw.. why so many dislikes?!
  354. Amelia Nomura: Neither of them are offensive in any way
  355. Katherine Burdick: See but people don’t get that happy holidays means “happy holy days”. But people should say Merry Christmas...
  356. Emma Rose Williamson: I say Merry Christmas because the Christmas season really IS about our Savior: the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born on this earth to save us because He loves us SO much! THAT is something worth celebrating😊♥️
  357. Kym T: I say merry Christmas to people I know. People I don't know I will say happy holidays. Because there are so many holidays celebrated in December and I don't think mine is the only one that matters. So why say merry Christmas to someone who doesn't celebrate it.
  358. Kandy Dewey: Its funny how offenwd people get over this. I will always keep Christ in Christmas, but thays not gonna stop me from saying happy Kwanzaa or what not. I wouldnt get offended if someone wished me a happy Kwanzaa or whatever but I'll alwaus celwbrate Christ so I wont say happy holidays. Thats my belief
  359. January Quackenboss: I don’t think anyone should really have to change “their” saying for anyone. It all means basically the same thing. Like if you’re Christian & you run into someone who’s not, you’re saying your goodbyes, don’t change your thing. “Okay bye Merry Christmas “ “you too, happy holidays “. It all means basically the same thing right? You’re telling that person that you hope their season is happy & fun & full of love right? I don’t see why you should be offended. If someone says Merry Christmas, I just think, oh their probably Christian. If they say happy hanakah, ...oh they’re Jewish....that’s who THEY are! How is that offensive? When someone says Merry Christmas to someone Jewish, or someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas or whatever I doubt anyone is saying it to be mean in any way. They’re saying it cuz that’s what they grew up with, they’re wishing you well, they saying what makes sense to them, what has been a part of their holidays growing up. It’s just a part of who they are. So why do we have to feel like we need to change that? Merry Christmas is a part of who I am. Merry Christmas is a positive thing. Just like happy hanakah, just like happy holidays. Idk... I hope this made sense.
  360. Brianna L Buckner: I say Merry Christmas. That’s not shoving my beliefs on anyone. It’s what I believe and celebrate. Christmas is all about Jesus. I wish people didn’t get so offended about it, but if they do I can’t change their minds. And no it should not be a debate. People can say Happy Holidays if they want, but then I can say Merry Christmas.
  361. kcallamajaji: I've never really understood why people get upset by this. If you want to say 'Merry Christmas', then go ahead. If you want to say 'Happy Holidays', then go ahead. Don't get mad when people say one or the other. Both have the same sentiment. From an employer standpoint, sometimes they just want their employees to be more inclusive, as a way to capitalize on all of the holidays this time of year. They might require employees to say 'Happy Holidays'. I can understand maybe being upset by that, but take a step back and realize that's a marketing tactic. Nothing more. It's not an attack on Christmas, it's not an attack on Christianity. The only people I've seen who legitimately get upset by 'Merry Christmas' are far left, crazy people. But I've seen regular Christians get upset by 'Happy Holidays', my family included. Like really upset. It's absurd.
  362. Stephanie Allred: I’m Christian so I say Merry Christmas. If someone says happy holidays I say thank you! To you as well! How is any of this complicated or controversial?
  363. JackieWarner13: I say Merry Christmas. I've always said it & everyone I mainly knows say it too. It's so in my system after almost 27 years though where I'm just so used it.
  364. Brittany Selcer: Didn’t expect the *NSYNC part at the end, but it was a nice surprise! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays...Josh!!😁😁 You should do a cover of that song. The *NSYNC VMA video is how I became a subscriber.
  365. Jonas Flynn.: I just mainly let them say it first then say what they said back.
  366. Pammi ASMR: It does not matter where you move to, God doesn't change and you shouldn't change the way you speak because someone doesn't know the Lord. Just speak with kindness and love and never exclude Christ out of Christmas for anyone.
  367. hoosna eydatoula: good to see you joshua!! merry xmas and happy new year to you and your loved ones.... i would love to hear sing a xmas song.... xoxoxoxoxo
  368. Scape & Sonder: They way I get around the issue: I say, “Enjoy your holidays!” There can’t be any misunderstanding. Whatever is YOUR holiday, enjoy it. The fact that there’s even discussion about holiday vernacular is a testament to the far reaches of how much (extra) this country has. People in a lot of other countries are worried about where to get their next meal. Get out of your little snow globe worlds, everyone.
  369. Aspen: gotta agree.
  370. Chloe Rayburn: I say Happy Holidays because I don’t celebrate Christmas as it’s not my religion. I’m Pagan, and Celebrate Yule. Which is the original form of Christmas before Christians decided to make it their own. I don’t have a tree, I don’t go to church or celebrate the birth of a man that really wasn’t born on or around the holiday. I do get offended when people say Merry Christmas to me because I remember my ancestors telling me how horrible those who began the Christmas holiday were to them because of their different religion.
  371. Debbie Dattilo: People get offended by EVERYTHING these days. People get a life and let people live theirs. It’s a dumb argument and I think we should spend more time sharing love not throwing shade.
  372. That's What "i" Said: Rude.
  373. Angelina Robles: Did you see Colleen’s baby Joshua😂
  374. Toochie: +something wicked it's crazy. This person is probably 10 yrs old!
  375. Fany823: I remember the first time someone said, Happy Hannukah to me, and I didn't know how to respond. I wasn't offended, I just didn't know what it meant. People that don't celebrate Christmas feel like that constantly, so I think its inclusive to just say Happy Holidays.
  376. Mallory Zieger: I say Merry Christmas especially around the Christmas time. If I know someone celebrates a different holiday I’ll wish them that.
  377. Madelin Montes: I say Happy Holidays...period. Not everyone is Christian or Catholic.
  378. Music Resources, Gaming, Nicole Marie T: +elisag27 🤣🤣🤣
  379. Jack The Human: I think happy holidays is a way of including everyone. That's not telling people not to say merry Christmas, its just a way of spreading joy to everyone despite their belief of the season. There are SO many different types of human live among us. Just a peaceful way of spreading joy to all. If you know they believe in Jesus then say merry Christmas! No one is taking that away. But to be nice to everyone I say happy holidays!
  380. Madison Telfer: I say Merry Christmas Happy Holidays. I grew up with my dad being Jewish and my mom being Chritgen so that’s why I say Merry Christmas Happy Holidays
  381. Callum Warren: I am from a family who are catholic and atheist/non believer i dont practice or go to mass anymore but ill always use merry christmas not because of religion but because it was the saying used by santa claus and he was thr spirit of christmas for me. when i say merry christmas im wishing someone a great christmas holiday or season that could include them celebrating their own traditions. i feel like we are gonna have an issue of people presuming someone is something based on ethinicity so if your served by a lovely friendly muslim girl in mcdonalds people may presume shes muslim so doesnt celebrate xmas what if she did though. Happy holidays is a blanket term not one i like but respect in that the message is no different to merry christmas your wishing wellness to others believers or not.
  382. poeticeclipse: 1) I say "Happy Holidays!" to include the New Year celebration as well. 2) I think the idea of the "war on Christmas" started from one tiny flame. One person said, "Happy holidays is purposely excluding the Christian faith. There is a war on Christmas." Then a news outlet decided to broadcast that statement as though SO many people believe that there is a war on Christmas, even if it was never a legit problem to begin with. I think that when people hear that their belief system is being pushed away out of society, they feel like they have something to fight for. I wish more people thought about WHERE this idea that "Happy Holidays" was synonymous with "Christianity sucks" came from. Why we feel the need to fight over something that isn't a problem is beyond me. 3) On top of everything, WHY would you be pissed off if someone is wishing you well? I don't celebrate Hanukkah, but if someone said "Happy Hanukkah", I'd say "thank you" and move on with my day happy that someone wished me well.
  383. Tammzy K.: I just say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays. You are allowed to say anything you want. People can say what they want. People should be respectful on both sides.
  384. Evita: Jeez, I hope every person just enjoys whatever they are celebrating. :) As long it doesn't include violence etc.
  385. Rachelle Rhodes: I think some people see it as positive like you but others are trying to have it there way. Otherwise it would be easier for a discussion rather then a my way your way thing.
  386. KristyLeigh: Great timing for a video....🤔
  387. Amanda Malcolm: I still say Merry Christmas. I think the world is being a little ridiculous nowadays. You should say what you believe.
  388. Thomas Bracken: +something wicked thank you.
  389. That's What "i" Said: Merry Christmas!
  390. Biba Oreo: It's because not only christians celebrate christmas nowadays... People aren't suppose to know if you're jewish or else
  391. xlaginger: I say both. It just depends on who I’m talking to. All you are doing is wishing someone well :)
  392. allentown Gal: I don't understand that if Christianity is about good will towards men and peace... why would they get upset if someone wishes them well - by saying Happy Holidays? I say any time another human gives a warm greeting in a nice pleasant tone, IT SHOULD BE WELCOMED!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! HAPPY KWANZAA! FELIZ NIVIDAD!! HAPPY CHANUKAH!! And to those like me.... HAPPY DECEMBER!!
  393. Jay Guptill: Lol he's such a loser
  394. Janessa Carlson: You can say happy holidays, merry Christmas, happy kwanza, happy Hanukkah, or any other holiday others celebrate, and I will appreciate the sentiment, accept it and thank you for it. There’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion.
  395. Haylee Mae: I'm from the same kinda town you're from Josh. Very small and very conservative. We say Merry Christmas. I think it's not the fact that we're against saying "Happy Holidays," I think it's more the way people went about it. Calling someone offensive for saying Merry Christmas is kind of dramatic. Honestly I think people get offended way too easily these days.😂 Just say what you say and don't take other people's words too seriously, right? Haha, love ya Josh!
  396. Arturas: *YOU ARE A SOCIOPATH, MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. MAYBE THIS TIME MARRIAGE WILL WORK WITH THE SAME RING*
  397. jennifblair: "Because I'm awkward" 😂 That's totally me too.
  398. Unknown Reject: I don't give a shit
  399. TinkerbellKat: We've reached a point in our society where someone will be offended regardless of what you say. So I say just do you. If i'm Jewish and you tell me Merry Christmas, it's still a nice gesture to wish me well... just say thank you and move on with your life. I'm Catholic but I get that not everyone else is Catholic so I just say "happy holidays" and have yet to offend anyone. It's a shame that people have gotten so offensive about things.
  400. hope kray: how do you feel about colleen’s cute baby ?
  401. Anjalee Gunaratnam: Thanks for talking about this Josh! I think it’s a really important discussion to have. 👌🏼
  402. Ashley Ostrega: I say Happy Holidays. I’ve work in customer service for 5+ years and Happy Holidays says a little more polite to me because I deal with people from all backgrounds and doesn’t feel like I’m forcing one holiday on someone.
  403. TAYLOR GESSLER: I say happy holidays to strangers because I don't assume anything but then just I just say Merry Christmas to friends and family who I know do celebrate Christmas
  404. Cyndy Kated: Merry "Stress yourself out buying people gifts that you have no idea what to get!!"..lol
  405. Ileana Varas: I say Merry Christmas to my close friends and the people I know who celebrate Christmas. As for the rest of the people I say Happy Holidays.
  406. God Of Destruction Mums: Lmao wtf is this video? People who get offended by someone saying "merry Christmas" is the sort of person who would call someone a racist for not liking a black sweet.
  407. shauna Malcolm: You should do a reaction video on a few of Colleens videos congratulating her on her new baby and stuff. Or is that just acting for drama? You could do the video with your wife just being positive and wishing them well...
  408. StephanieInTheSuburbs: Even as a Christian that is a NYC native raised an hour North of Macon, GA, I think Happy Holidays is appropriate, and here’s why: It covers Christmas, New Years, & every other holiday. Enough said. That said, Happy Holidays from Arizona! 🌵 ⭐️ 🎅🏼 🎄
  409. ele060girl: I say happy holidays, and then on christmas I saw merry christmas to my loved ones
  410. Kyutenessss: Lol no I want everyone to have a merry Christmas even if they aren't celebrating. You maybe reading a bit munch into it. I am never offended when someone says "happy hanukkah!" I am excited w them! We all need to calm down and enjoy life.
  411. Kristy Fast: We say "Merry Christmas." If someone does not celebrate Christmas and then points it out, I apologize for not knowing and wish them their celebration choice or celebrate nothing. Most people are nice about it.
  412. Tronald Dumb: i don't fucking care. same as i am not getting offended by others no one else should be offended... I am not throwing jesus to anyone face but i am not going do deny I believe in Him . so i don't really give a f . i speak my mind and that's it hahahahah Merry F Christmas
  413. Kaylee Butler: I feel like people shouldn’t be forced to say happy holidays (not that anyone is really forcing people to). People should be allowed to wish you the best in any way they see fit. Christians shouldn’t be penalized for saying merry Christmas just as Jewish people shouldn’t be penalized for saying happy Hanukkah. Or people who practice the Muslim religion shouldn’t be looked down on for wearing a hijab just as an atheist shouldn’t be looked down on for not attending church. The whole point of America was freedom of religion and freedom of speech and so on and so forth. As long as we’re respectful of others choices it works. I might not support or agree with your decision but that doesn’t mean I can’t respect and love you as a person. If you’re being kind and treating others with respect I have no reason to be angry at you. But if you start being angry at me for practicing my religion when it has no affect on you then I reserve the right to be offended. Just as you can be offended if I try to tell you you’re a bad person for not believing in my religion. #justbenicetopeople
  414. amira walid: I’m muslim and i always say “merry christmas”.in fact this holiday is all about jesus. Also love you josh❤️
  415. Staceylwolf: AnnalynRose 27 , that why I say it.
  416. Anna Rivera: As a Jew, I say "happy holidays" but I really don't mind if people say "merry Christmas" because I know it's coming from a good place. But people really ought to remember that not everyone is Christian.
  417. Emma Lee: Happy Holidays includes everyone and allows you to wish the best with genuine love ✨💖💝🎄🎅💙❤💛❤
  418. miranda whitehead: Merry Christmas is correct
  419. Cort cat: Being more inclusive is so much better. Christmas only dies if you let it! Celebrate it, do your thing but don’t force it on anyone.
  420. Chloe _: something wicked it's all about where your mind goes first. It's a game and Josh is playing it. The thumbnail of him looking distressed and the title of "should we really argue about this" combine into something that does not equal "holidays" versus "Christmas." If he wanted to say what he meant, he'd say "Happy Holidays versus Merry Christmas: should we really argue about this?" or something like that. And argument is going to a lot of times be perceived as an argument between significant others and there is no doubt in my mind Josh was fully aware of that.
  421. ish_dhoomie: 3:05 JOSHUA FOR PRESIDENT 🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️
  422. ash !!: JoshuaDTV you should be ashamed of yourself. it doesn’t matter what happened 2 years ago, you both have new lives WITH NEW PARTNERS and you’re being childish always going back to this drama. this is incredibly disrespectful to your wife. if you can’t handle moving on like an adult, get off youtube. i’m tired of this petty behaviour and clickbait titles
  423. LunasDaughter: +Ally Faber Respect, and his persistence to "Be nice to people," no matter what. That is my guess. :)
  424. MsRobinJack: If we are just talking personal greetings and preferences I agree. But have seen through the years kids and schools being used to promote agendas. I don't understand why KIDS are not allowed to reference, sing, do a play, share a poem that includes Christian Christmas content at HOLIDAY time, If we were truly desiring to teach inclusiveness, wouldn't it be wonderful if "Holiday" Shows/Concerts included secular and sacred Christmas and Hannukkah, and ...the celebrations of the community of that school? If this was the intention when Christmas time became Holiday then it has NOT been achieved.
  425. Maria Frost: No ones saying you can’t say merry Christmas, just make sure you make an effort to follow it with happy holidays. It’s not that hard! Respect other people’s religions and holidays.
  426. Ali Cia: Speak the Truth thank you! It’s just been the norm for us. And I want it to be the norm for my children. Every religion is amazing and beautiful and deserves to recognized. As an adult I’ve decided to not be part of an organized religion, I don’t think my beliefs really match up to any certain one so I want my children to experience as many cultures and religions and such as possible so they can decide which best suits them. As long as we’re all good people, what you say in December doesn’t matter.
  427. Korrinne Bethel: I say merry Christmas and happy holidays. I celebrate Christmas but I think it's good Not to assume about others
  428. Kendyll :3: I say merry Christmas, if it offends anyone, well, they’ll get over it. It’s not like they’re gonna die if I don’t say happy holidays
  429. jennifblair: +Brooke Salas Oh wow! I would have to be ugly to someone that acted like that. 😈
  430. Melanie BEE: if i know you i’ll say happy/merry____ if i don’t know u or know what u celebrate i’ll say happy holidays
  431. Tracy Parks: I mean merry Christmas
  432. Candice Smith: I grew up in the south also. I say merry Christmas as habit. If someone says it to me, I'll say whatever back, merry Christmas, happy holidays, etc. I'm all for including everyone.
  433. The Life Of Nikki Marie: *Merry Christmas* Jesus *IS* the reason for this season!!!
  434. Brenda Thayer: Emma A It’s called debating and religion is like politics. It’s really important to some people.
  435. Jessica S: Toochie it actually really is, i dont know why he made this video, i just think it was pointless. i get that hes trying to be a nice person and that he is one but this video was pointless:/
  436. LizzieSully 4ever: Finally somebody with a brain... Merry Christmas to you. Jesus is the reason... Thank you for your comment.
  437. Bunny Casablancas: Yeah I know saw they do that alot to him now which sucks it if it isn't here it's on Twitter, and ig where they write those dumb comments
  438. alison d'elena: I say happy holidays when I don’t know which holiday the person celebrates. Even though I celebrate Christmas, I don’t want to force it onto others in a way and leave out their personal beliefs and holidays. If I know the holiday they celebrate, I will specify. So merry Christmas is still acceptable to say, in the right circumstances and to people who celebrate Christmas. Happy holidays is not a way of taking away Christmas, it’s a way to recognize, include, and embrace all religions and holidays. I believe it’s 2018 and it’s time to recognize everybody and not just the majority.
  439. erubisantiago1: I say "felices fiestas" which means happy holidays. Thanks for the video! 🤗
  440. IsDonahue: Love it channel
  441. Andrea Fasching: I always thought people said Happy Holidays because Christmas and New Years are celebrated so close together. Who turned it into a religious thing?
  442. Karola Couturier: Juliana Koziol Ikr. I don’t understand the big argument. If someone wishes me a happy hanukkah or ramadan i’m just gonna smile and say thank you you too or something even though i don’t celebrate. it’s not like the person is being rude
  443. Rochelle Bjorklund: Merry Christmas!
  444. Sharnika Pritchard: Merry CHRISTmas because it’s Jesus birthday
  445. Jay: Honestly who cares. It's not a big deal, you can greet back to anyone. Even if you don't believe what they're celebrating. It's the thought that counts. Doesn't matter if the person said merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, or Eid Mubarak. I always say it back although in those ppl's religions I'm probably going to hell lol. Just be pleasant and greet others, life is short 🤷🏻‍♂️
  446. Disney Lover: I say Merry Christmas. Because that’s what I celebrate. If someone says Happy Hanukkah or Happy Holidays etc, I don’t get offended. It’s not meant with I’ll will or with malice. It’s wishing happiness to you. So I always say thank you.
  447. David Ryan: Forgot to add...Christmas celebrations were once banned in the U.S. and in Britain. The Puritans/Protestants felt it was ungodly. https://www.livescience.com/32891-why-was-christmas-banned-in-america-.html
  448. Dawn Castrogiovanni: I had a Jewish boss and when someone said Merry Christmas to him he said Merry Christmas back to them
  449. blessedarethebroken: 💜
  450. Laura Tuller: I've unsubscribed long ago, but I just wanted to pop in to see how Josh is doing... Yup, still boring.
  451. Michelle Jacksier: No it isn't. We don't have an official religion or state-sponsored religion here.
  452. Ashley Poper: The thing is when people hear JUST "happy holidays" they take it as everything BUT Christmas. That's just how it is. So why can't we say "Merry Christmas and Happy holidays!"? That way everyone is ACTUALLY included in the statement. Bc really if someone said "happy Kwanzaa" to me I'd be a little taken aback. Like I don't celebrate that. Lol. So that must be how they feel about hearing Merry Christmas. But if they said "happy Kwanzaa and Happy holidays" I'd take it as them wishing my holiday well WHATEVER it is. Just my thoughts....
  453. Jane Doe: I say both “merry Christmas” AND “happy holidays”. Either way if you’re one of the people that get offended by either of these.. you’re a fucking idiot and you have serious SERIOUS issues.
  454. Rainbow tribe: sister snatched lmao get over yourself you minion.
  455. Mike S: +something wicked LMAOO imagine coming for a one-week old baby 💀 you truly are something else. Baby Flynn is adorable btw! looks like Josh is going through it though. Can't remember the last time I saw someone age this bad. I guess seeing your ex flourishing and doing better than ever without you does something to a person.
  456. cherrydarling909: Because he has a small ding ding 🤣
  457. Cantelope Strawberry: As a Christian I would be happy if someone who was Jewish told me “Happy Hanukkah” on Hanukkah...If someone specifically told me not to say it I wouldn’t but there’s no reason for censorship when I’m just celebrating my beliefs....
  458. Kimberley Neale: Haha oops! I’ll change it thanks 😁
  459. Genesis Ackermann: You’re fucking ugly
  460. Tronald Dumb: i don't fucking care. same as i am not getting offended by others no one else should be offended... I am not throwing jesus to anyone face but i am not going do deny I believe in Him . so i don't really give a f . i speak my mind and that's it hahahahah Merry F Christmas
  461. Star Mar: Glutamate Sulphate no I get that but American is diverse and there are a lot of different cultures however I can’t say because I live in the uk
  462. Susan McDonald: All I know is Jesus is the whole reason for the season, to begin with! I say, and always will say, Merry Christmas! It’s not about religion either, it’s about a relationship! So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Much love and God Bless! ❤️🎅🏻⛄️🎄❣️
  463. Toochie: No reason to be so rude.
  464. Marina Sapiano: Am I the only one who’s wondering how he feels about coleens baby
  465. Fishnetfreud: Are you running out of video ideas?
  466. Shannon Carlson: I relate with this because my bestfriend since middle school is Jewish but it's the other way around for us. I wish her a Happy Chanukah and she wishes me a Merry Christmas. And we still to this day swap gifts every year :)
  467. jade leitner: ive started saying happy holidays this year too without really noticing, at least the first time and then when I wanted to text "happy Holiday" I was like wait, "should I say merry Christmas"? I sent happy holidays because even though I knew she celebrated christmas, as Josh was saying, there's a multitude of different religions, and people in general, celebrating different things in December and all human beings are connected and saying happy holidays, or at least not being against it, can maybe help us all feel a little more connected and not torn apart by differences and labels.
  468. Brittany Evans: I say happy holidays because i have a Jewish friend
  469. Nikki Schell: I say a combination of Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Please sing the entire N'sync Happy Holidays song! So not cool to leave us hanging lol! You have an amazing voice Josh. Looking forward to more music!
  470. Faith H: I think ‘happy holidays’ is the perfect fit. That way no assumptions are made about what, or if any, holiday people are celebrating. ‘Happy holidays’ incorporates everyone and everything
  471. amira walid: It’s weird that people find this not serious.actually it is,it appears to be just about merry christmas and happy holidays.but it’s more than this it’s the idea that many people don’t want to associate anything with religions anymore and prefer to make things more secular. Sorry about my english it’s not my first language
  472. Chris Hunt: I always say Merry Christmas! If someone said Happy Hanukkah or Happy kwanzaa to me I would say that back to them! It’s my way of celebrating the season and I will always say Merry Christmas!!
  473. Yasmine Dashti: This isn’t even an argument. There are people dying in war, starving to death and children are suffering. That’s just naming barely a percent of the huge issues we face as a globe. There are so many worse things in the world smh. People need to open their eyes and stop having such a narrow view on issues in the world. This is merely two different ways of greetings people during the month of December. Nothing more.
  474. Lisa Scott: I say Merry Christmas, but I don't mind when people say Happy Holidays, or whatever.
  475. Juliana Koziol: Omg, yes. Preach it!
  476. AC4X: I love the Christmas and the goodwill associated with the season. I really do. So, as a Jew, I don’t mind when people say Merry Christmas. I get that that’s the predominant mindset of this time of year. But I do notice and appreciate when people say Happy Holidays instead. It’s nice that they’re making an effort, and, really, isn’t that what Christmas is about? Peace and goodwill and the spirit of giving? People who hate the political correctness (consideration) of saying Happy Holidays should really keep in mind that they owe the myth of Santa Claus to us non-Christian kids. We know the truth and keep our mouths shut for your sake.
  477. chrissyzcreationz: I say Merry Christmas to everyone unless I know they are a different religion, then I use terms appropriate to their beliefs. I'm a Georgia girl myself. The one thing I can't stand is when people use Xmas, basically taking Christ out of it all together. For me, Christ is the reason for the season, not Santa.
  478. ThatGuitarChick01: I think happy holidays is great way to be including everyone.
  479. samo530: I don't think people should get offended over being told Merry Christmas in a predominantly Christian nation. Its not like they will burst into flame if you say Merry Christmas. I can understand the whole inclusivity thing but if we went into a different country like Isreal where Christmas isn't widely accepted like it is here, they wouldn't care if we got offended by them saying their equivalent of merry Christmas. Luckily, I haven't met anyone that gets offended over something so ridiculous.
  480. Color16: Haloooo! When is the shallow cover coming out?! I’ve been waiting for it 😅
  481. Mya Matters: FELIZ NAVIDAD JOSH Y PAMELA LOL 😝
  482. Michelle Leigh: Omg I was thinking about *NSYNC this entire video. They got it right! 😉 #TheAmbassadors hahahaha
  483. Abbey Hardy: Sorry my phone has auto correct and you better learn how to shut that big mouth of yours and im sorry im wondering what he thinks about collens baby
  484. Brianna Tarantola: Wow you look like your going through hell right now
  485. Invalid P: I could not care less. Merry Christmas everyone
  486. Maria: Seasonal Greetings, however you may or may not celebrate this time of the year, I just hope it is a blessed and happy time for all of you xxxx
  487. Meschell Miloscia: I celebrate Christmas and the reason behind it! Sooooo, it’s Merry Christmas from me !!!!!’
  488. LunasDaughter: +JoshuaDTV I had this thought as soon as the breakup was announced, but I felt guilty for feeling suspicious towards her. I tried very hard to believe her story, their story, at face value, as they never went in to specific details (which I fully respect). But after she announced her current relationship and mentioned that they had been together for quite some time, I felt my suspicions were justified. But I imagine that if that never happened, and they stayed together, they would both be staying in a relationship that may have been good, but not the BEST, for the both of them. They both seem ecstatic and deeply in love. Even though the separation caused a lot of pain and created many wounds, I am so happy that Josh is with his soulmate. He is such a goodhearted, nice, caring person, and he deserves all the love and happiness in the world. <3 If his wounds are not yet fully healed, I hope they all will in time.
  489. Kasey Willis: I don’t think that “Merry Christmas” is non-inclusive. I think it is wishing someone the best from the person who is saying it. So if you don’t celebrate Christmas, take it as a compliment. And if someone says Happy Holidays because they don’t celebrate Christmas, then take that as a compliment. The intentions of the person wishing you well are good. And they are including you by saying “Merry or Happy” anything to you! Don’t look for places to be offended by others.
  490. New Ventures: “Merry Christmas,” period. I will not change , I refuse to take Christ out of Christmas. We have been here...period.
  491. Ashley Phillips: People get offended over literally everything. I say what I want (Merry Christmas) and if someone is offended I apologize and move on. I don’t get upset if someone says happy holidays, they can deal with me saying merry Christmas. On that note, I have friends who don’t celebrate Christmas so I usually say happy holidays to them.
  492. lbdori: If you are respectfull and others are too, if you say it with a smile, the smile is what they hear.. Be true to yourself and be nice to people..!!
  493. Clair Jarman: I'm from England and we've always said Merry/Happy Christmas. I think you should still say it the way you celebrate and the other person can reply back to you 'Happy Hanukkah' or however they prefer as that's how they would say it to people of their own religion. And they shouldn't be offended on how you say it as that's what you celebrate. PC gone mad!
  494. That's What "i" Said: Christmas is special in different ways to different people; it is always about love, not fighting about who owns Christmas or who's doing it wrong, or people who aren't Christians shouldn't be doing it. Read your history books about Christianity (not the bible) and open your eyes and your heart; there are many other celebrations happening during this time that aren't being promoted as much as Christmas is. That doesn't make them less important or wrong. Enjoy and spread the love; that's the most important thing for humanity. I'm sure Jesus would agree. Merry Christmas! :)
  495. LL Nut: If you’re wishing people well what the heck is the difference how you do that?!! Geez! Everything is offensive now days! Do people not have enough to worry about?!! 🤦🏻‍♀️
  496. Rosie 37: I say Many Christmas cuz I grew up that way but if someone says Happy Holidays to me I'll say it back. That's my 2¢.😁 Hugs from Michigan.❤
  497. kcallamajaji: That's part of it!
  498. Natalie: Saturnalia and Yule. Look it up. “Christmas” is not a Christian holiday, it was used to stop pagans from celebrating winter and instead read bibles and go to mass. 🎊 merry crimbo you filthy animal
  499. Madison Ostermeier: I agree with your opinion that for me, saying “Happy Holidays” means “whatever you celebrate - that’s what I’m saying to you.” If I specifically know that someone celebrates Christmas, I say “Merry Christmas!” I celebrate Christmas, but I work at a Jewish preschool (I’m not Jewish), and on Hanukkah I respectfully say “Happy Hanukkah!” to everyone I know who celebrates it. It’s a respect thing, to me. I respect you and your holiday/religion/beliefs, even if it’s not mine. It’s pretty simple.
  500. WonJae Lee: Merry Xmas and Happy Holiday
  501. ktlynmariesmith: If someone says Merry Christmas to me, I’ll say merry Christmas. If they say happy holidays, I’ll say happy holidays. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I celebrate Christmas but I’m not going to get butthurt because someone says happy holidays to me. There are other pressing issues to be offended by.
  502. mitsim: I mostly say Merry Christmas but usually I know that those people celebrate Christmas. I work for a Jewish doctor, and very happily say Happy Hanukkah. The word holiday is derived from holy day, so I don't really think it takes anything away from those who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or any other religious holiday. In England they mostly use Happy Holiday, but they also say "holiday" instead of "vacation" for any trips or occasions during the year apart from our traditional Christmas time. Bottom line is, say what you want. The sentiment is the same, and just saying any of them is "being kind to people," and isn't that what it's all about?
  503. Susie Easton: Kimberley Neale Hanukkah* , Chanukah*, or Hanukah*
  504. Shaijah Wolf: Please can we see more of u & Pamela together? When will you guys be planning a baby? Love you! You’re looking good Josh😃
  505. Rachel Smeith: Deffinatly happy holidays as its more inclusive but like you can say what you want really as long as its not rude! But no theres no point in arguing the holidays/xmas is supposed to be the best part of the year not a time where we tear down other religions ✌️
  506. Frank and Vicky: Happy Holidays. Not everyone is Christian. It is presumptuous to think they are.
  507. It's Eboni: It's sad to think people don't celebrate Christmas 💀 I know so many who aren't religious but still celebrate it.
  508. Am Hedonist: I found out yesterday that you were really wronged. Because of the event that was posted, I did research on how that relationship started. I’m not a follower of hers really, only you. I assumed that relationship started after you two were long over, like yours and Pamela’s did. That’s not the case based on what I saw and I don’t think a lot of people realize that Josh. I obviously don’t know the full truth, but it seems like you were seriously betrayed. I will admit I thought that you were just really emotional when you documented your heartbreak and healing process. I thought you were having a hard time moving on in what I thought was a mutual split, but with this new information I no longer think that. Because of this info, I now see that you handled yourself really well and you have serious control over your emotions, which is the opposite of what people think. You didn’t ever slander that person, or tell what happened to you, you only documented how you got through it without hurting anyone in that process. People should know that you handled this with grace Josh. You’re so strong and I hope you have a really great holiday with your family.
  509. Skirt running: But what about Chinese New Year which happens in February, or Tamil New Year in April, or Hari Raya for the Muslims in June or Aug? Tell me surely these 'arguments' apply only within the United States?
  510. Felisha Miller: I tell people Merry ChristmaKwanzaaHanukkuh! I’m creative and weird and made my own word to try and cover it.. Sometime I just say ‘tis the season’.. 💕
  511. Jami Joy: Maconnnnn
  512. that1chick92: I don’t think anyone should be offended no matter if someone says Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc simply because I’m thankful that, that person even took the time to wish me a good time. They didn’t have to, but they were kind enough to take the 2 seconds to say something nice that a lot of people don’t anymore.
  513. Romia Parvez: This is so cringe that I couldn’t even get through the first two minutes
  514. David Ryan: If you, as an individual, want to say, “Merry Christmas” then say it but do not expect nor demand it in return. Freedom of religion means a person is exactly that, accept however a person wishes to respond and go on with your day.
  515. em surreal: My family is very conservative and I'm the only liberal, I grew up saying Merry Christmas, but I honestly don't care what people use. If you tell me Happy Kwanzaa I'll probably just say "you too!" Because I'm awkward, but I totally appreciate the sentiment and who has time to be offended over something that's meant to be kind? My family all get upset and feel attacked "you can't even say Merry Christmas anymore" but I honestly have never seen someone tell somebody off for saying Merry Christmas to them. Just be kind and respectful. If I were to say Merry Christmas and someone got upset, I would say, "Oh, I'm sorry, I hope you enjoy your holiday." 🤷‍♀️ I've worked as a cashier, food service, and a bank teller and have dealt with the general public a LOT. I've never had someone get upset over "Merry Christmas" but I HAVE had people get mad at me for saying Happy Holidays. I mostly got "I celebrate CHRISTMAS, so Merry Christmas". Like okay, triggered much? So that is quite interesting to me considering conservatives seem to be the ones under attack 🤔
  516. Harry Krinkle: That's the only way right-wing media makes money, though. They traffic in conflict. Certain strata of left-wing media does the same, if not quite as much as the right-wing media acts, though.
  517. Elita Bajrami: Dana m 😂😂😂😂 shut tf up
  518. Bekah M: The way I see it anything is okay as long as it's nice. If you want to say specifically your holiday like Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanzaa etc., say that. If you want to say Happy Holidays, say that. Anyone who wants exclusively one or the other type of greeting is obnoxious. Someone is taking the time to say something nice to you so whatever? Yknow?
  519. elisag27: I’m Christian and I understand both sides as well. Meh. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙂👍🏻
  520. Madison Baker: I'm not offended when people say Merry Christmas to me, even though I'm not a Christian. What makes me upset is when Christians expect everyone else to recognize their religion. There are plenty of religious minorities in this country that aren't hollering about how unfair it is that they aren't paid enough attention to. I say Happy Holidays because I recognize that, although the majority of this country is Christian, not everyone is. I will not assume what holiday you celebrate. And the whole "keep Christ in Christmas" really bothers me-- because Christ has nothing to do with this time of year for me and for many other people. Sure, go ahead and say Merry Christmas as a Christian-- but don't expect other people to adhere to your belief system and force it on them. The world does not revolve around Christianity-- there are many faiths on this planet just as deserving of respect. Believe it or not, this country was founded on freedom of speech and religion. TLDR: Let people practice whatever faith they want to practice without forcing your religion onto them.
  521. chanin hensley: i'm a happy holidays person at work and with those I don't know. i'm a merry christmas person if I know you celebrate it. it's a silly argument to me
  522. ☼Summer Breelin☼: I think it should depend on where you live.
  523. laribugg: I think saying "Happy Holidays" out of fear of offending someone isn't a healthy way to look at it. If you, yourself, don't celebrate Christmas or Hannukah or Kwanza etc.. and "Happy Holidays" suits you best, then, by all means, say "Happy Holidays!" People should be able to express this season in the way that they celebrate it without feeling guilty. I celebrate Christmas, but I wouldn't be offended if someone said, "Happy Hannukah" to me on the street. I would instead feel flattered that they wished me well and honored that they shared that part of their life with me, even if just for a brief moment. The only time ANY of these phrases should ever be considered offensive is if the person saying it is only doing so out of spite or to make some obnoxious point. Otherwise, this whole thing needs to be a non-issue.
  524. Richard Powell: I was born in Jackson Mississippi and it was Merry Christmas and then moved to Macon Georgia and it was the same...The day after Thanksgiving it is ok to wish someone a Merry Christmas and it can be said with Christ in mind or the person not into Christ would take it as Love and Goodwill. It wasn't until the Liberals with nothing left to do but find insults in everything tried to take it away from the season. For decades, it was a simple Merry Christmas greeting this time of year but the Liberal mentality wants equal misery among everyone...Or maybe a Scrooge think of Baa Humbug...They hate themselves or they hate what this country was founded upon and want to tear down the tradition of Joy that this season of Thanksgiving and Christmas brings even if people don't have alot....This season still stands for love of fellow man and it includes Hanukkah( Jesus is Jewish)..But at this stage if a person wants to greet me with a Happy Holidays that is fine...Let's just love each other and....Be nice to People....Merry Christmas Ya'll and a Happy New Year
  525. Toochie: Whyyyyy is this necessary to ask him? WHY? He has a whole new life. LET HIM LIVE IT!! Stop bringing this up! It's unnecessary and rude!
  526. Sandra Cruz: solution
  527. Amanda L: I usually wait till someone says merry Christmas, then I’ll say that back. If they don’t say anything, I’ll say happy holidays 🤷‍♀️
  528. Nubia Flores: I don't celebrate anything. When I'm greeted by MERRY CHRISTMAS/HAPPY HOLIDAYS, I simply reply with a "Thank you". Is that rude?
  529. Maddy Muche: People shouldn’t be offended! If I say merry Christmas and you’re Jewish, take my merry Christmas as Happy Hanukkah!
  530. tainted1117: either...Who cares? I am Christian and am not offended either way. I ask for people to respect my views therefore shouldn't I respect theirs?
  531. Lilac A: you're so good at addressing the drama
  532. JD McKinney: I personally will say happy holidays until the day of Christmas and Christmas Eve then I say merry Christmas cuz that's when Christmas is.
  533. Linds&Liv: 🙌🏻
  534. ☼Summer Breelin☼: Macon isn’t as conservative anymore. I know because I live in Georgia lol
  535. Wheelz Haskell: +poeticeclipse you obviously didn't pay attention, kiddo.
  536. zoramystic2ify: I say "Merry Yule"
  537. Skallia Ray: I don't say happy or merry anything anymore. what i do find interesting though is when i worked in retail i had Muslim people and Jewish people saying merry Christmas to me and since these two families were regulars of mine it was kind of a running joke bc i was white and american they said that to me and included all the other christian holidays. "happy Easter!" so in return i would say happy X holiday they were celebrating at the time. What i hate about this conversation is that it doesn't matter which way you say it, you will never make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. So say what you want. If someone is offended by either oh well. heck you can't say anything theses days without someone being offended. Just say what you want to say idk why it's a huge deal. everything is a huge deal everything is offensive and i'm over it. if someone came up to me and said HAPPY KWANZAA... i'd say happy Kwanzaa to you too! like idk why it's such a huge deal. just be nice to people. if you offend someone say oh i'm sorry i offended you and move on. It doesn't have to be such a huge argument all the time.
  538. jennifblair: I'm not Christian, but I still celebrate Christmas with my Christian family. I don't get offended when anyone says "Merry Christmas", and I don't correct them or get offended in any way. I just say it back. Also, I'm as liberal as they come.
  539. Nat: i saw a post that hit me just say "thank you...the same to you" i think it is a good one
  540. Ariel Cross: Marina Sapiano that's why I came here😂
  541. Jade Hansen: When ur socially uncomfortable u don’t say anything. So I don’t have that problem 😂 but on a serious note people need to chill. If someone takes the time to say something with a kind heart & good intent....just take it and move on!
  542. Scarebear98: I say, "Merry Christmas". If someone says the same or if they say "Happy Holidays" I don't get offended and neither should anyone else. People need to quit being offended by everything little thing that comes out of some one's mouth. Personally, I just enjoy seeing that someone is being pleasant. I say what I believe in and everyone else should too. I'm just wishing you joy, no matter what you believe or who you are. The language shouldn't really matter. On that note, merry Christmas everyone and may you be blessed now and in all the days to come.
  543. Katerina Joan: I think you're right, it's about sharing joy. What if everyone wished everyone else their specific holiday! Like, if you celebrated Quanza, you wish everyone a "Happy Quanza", or if you're Christian or enjoy Christmas, you wish everyone a "Merry Christmas!" Whatever "Happy" we say, we are blessing and wishing another happiness. I wish we could all just accept and take joy in the blessings of one another's individual celebrations. That would be beautiful. ... Till we get to that point, I'm going to say "Happy Holidays" to some friends, and "Merry Christmas" to others. And I would say, "Honica".......but clearly I don't know how to spell it lol.
  544. Joyce 98: How I feel about it... who gives a fuck Lool if somebody really gets upset about “merry Christmas “ that sounds like a personal problem. Ima still say merry Christmas. I want me to walk up to somebody and say “merry Christmas” and them to stop me and be like “nah be more politically correct”.like it’s 2018, you should be happy Im one of the nice people in the world.
  545. Natasha Aiken: Great video Josh
  546. AngelicVoice1: There's more than one holiday in December so Happy Holidays isn't offensive. Why not include everyone? And nobody said you can't say Merry Christmas. Say it. The song by Happy Holiday by Andy Williams was written in 1942 by Irving Berlin. It's not a new thing.
  547. Ma K: sister snatched be nice to people.
  548. HARRY OOI: Love love love
  549. Alexis Gold-Perez: How the hell does this dingleberry have over 1 million subscribers? 😂
  550. Ashley Jade: No one i know, where i live, in Australia, celebrates anything other than Christmas. In saying that though, no one i know is religious either but we still say MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
  551. Exit Light: How do you see your server and know they are Jewish or give gifts but think of it some other way? Say whatever you want. I've NEVER heard anyone be offended by being wished well. never.
  552. Galia Rose: Thanks for discussing this. As someone who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, I don’t rly like when ppl wish me a merry Christmas (I’m not necessarily offended. I can’t decide what I feel but I just don’t like it) it’s just a little close minded-especially for me where I live there’s a pretty big Jewish population. Also saying happy holidays includes New Years which we should be including bc everyone has a calendar
  553. Madison Telfer: I can’t believe there is even a debate. Seems childish if you ask me.
  554. Jamie Braithwaite: I perfer happy holidays because its inclusive and in my family birthdays and the new year are a really big deal, but we're not religious. At xmas is just a day of the year to me. We get together on xmas day but mainly because its an excuse to see the family. My birthday is the 27th and for me thats the important part of my month. I realize I sound self centered but that's how it is in my family, not matter the date. That's why I perfer happy holidays because it is a holiday for me.
  555. ZicksOcarina: Or how about we say what we want and ALL those offended, triggered wussies just suck it up and get some therapy because being offended that easily has deeper roots that need to be adressed
  556. zebraking444: DID U SEE COLLEENS BABY HES SO CUTTTEEE
  557. Vɪᴊᴀʏ Bᴀᴀᴢ: Not to be rude but I'm not sure why you made this a video (or a 7 min one) when you could have posted something on Twitter or Instagram. I understand your audience is here but it's not really that huge of a thing..
  558. Apricot Sims: this video is pointless. Struggling for content?
  559. shirosh809: I think saying "happy holidays" is fine and no one should be offended That's how you say to other people "have a happy time celebrating whatever you are celebrating" In my country most of us celebrate Hanukkah and some people in my country celebrate Christmas or eid-AND IT'S FINE BY ME cause personally i don't believe in any god/religion And if you say to me "happy holidays" even when i'm not celerating anything i'd say "thanks" and move on with my life
  560. TAYLOR GESSLER: If like me you still want to express the phrase "Merry Christmas" just tag on "and Happy Holidays." That way for Christmas people it just means new years too, but it also falls under all the other winter holidays other people might celebrate. NSYNC got it right XD
  561. Nubia Flores: You smell fish?
  562. Shannon G: I say Happy Holidays. If someone is taking the time to wish you well during this time of year, be gracious and accept it. It’s just kindness. If you are so upset that people wish you a Happy Holiday instead of Merry Christmas, then you need to re-evaluate your life and your privilege. Happy Holidays!!
  563. Katie K: I say happy holidays if I don’t know them. That way it covers both Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years.
  564. Judith Giller-Leinwohl: Listen. I’m Jewish. Here’s my deal. I’m fine with Happy Holidays, and I’m fine with Merry Christmas. My bigger issue is the person behind the statement. Do they understand that not everyone celebrates Christmas? Do they understand the ways in which American culture is deeply Christian, and being not Christian during winter is especially rough? If you choose Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, I’m fine with it. But don’t be a shitty person. Not too hard.
  565. Samantha Damian: your are ?
  566. Melissa Donnelly: When I know it is someone who is Christian I say Merry Christmas one Christmas but when I'm saying goodbye to anyone in December I say "happy holidays" meaning any holiday and new years!
  567. Brooke Allen: There are babies in American starving, being abused, without a home, etc. There are people that have NOTHING. Hate is spreading over our country like wildfire. Shootings, stabbing, stealing, etc. etc. We should be focusing on more of the hard stuff and LESS of the (excuse me) BS like someone trying to be nice to you! Lets be real. If someone takes a moment to smile and say "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas" they are taking a moment to be NICE! And NICENESS is a rare commodity these days. If you do that celebrate Christmas or "the holidays" then take it as that person just freaking taking a moment to be NICE to you and you should NEVER be offended by some stranger being NICE.
  568. sakunthala sankar: Well I’m a Hindu and I honestly say Merry Christmas more than Happy Holidays because it’s common to me and it doesn’t necessarily have religious connotation (for me at least) but rather signifies a joyful time. I guess happy holidays is more inclusive but I also think people think too much into people saying that Merry Christmas is too Christian. I think they can be used interchangeably because saying merry Christmas doesn’t mean you’re not acknowledging other cultures. It’s just a part of society at this point. It’s unrealistic to take out all Christian influences from the basis of our society and it doesn’t even harm anyone.
  569. elisag27: Chloe _ hmmm. It appears to me that you are offended that someone is offended by people being offended....... 🧐 J’ACCUSE!
  570. Irish Reyes: lol thats funny
  571. April Rivas: People that get offended when people wish them a “happy holiday” are just so selfish. Someone is taking the time to wish you a good time, no matter what you celebrate. Inclusiveness isn’t bad. If you wish me a Merry Christmas, I will say the same to you. If you wish me a happy anything..I will do the same. It’s not hard.
  572. rebeccajns: I'm the same way Josh. I grew up saying Merry Christmas, but now as an adult & in today's time, I just say Happy Holidays ☺ I don't think this is something ppl really should be arguing about. If someone says either one to u, their trying to show kindness regardless of which one they say. Be kind, Always! ❤
  573. that girl in okc: Verbal Greetings over the phone or in person: Happy Holidays is more inclusive and welcoming. If they respond with Merry Christmas then you can say Merry Christmas back. Or whatever specific holiday they name. 🎄💚 Merry Christmas Josh!
  574. here2watch08: "Why don't we hear each other out?", I think the Christians have talked enough. That "discrimination" you feel? That's what everyone who isn't Christian has felt every winter since Christmas became mainstream. Be mad that everyone else was left out for eons, and be happy that they are finally being included. Tis' the season of giving, so give other religions some acknowledgement for once. If you're offended that suddenly others are less offended, maybe don't call yourself a Christian, that's more Christian Radical.
  575. Uma Violet: Love your heartfelt candor my friend. 💩
  576. Green Envy: The deeper issue is that people are unhappy. Unhappy people get offended because they're unhappy. And why are people unhappy?  Cost of living is too high,  traffic is terrible,  no sense of community in big cities like LA and SF,  it's hard to find love when you can't afford to live which makes people lonely,  and shopping for holidays is stressful when money is tight, just to name a few. Anyways Merry Christmas everyone! Unless I'm in traffic.
  577. Ann S: Christmas is about celebrating the gift of Christ's birth to those who believe. Guess I'm just an ooold fashioned 40-something....I truly wish A MERRY MERRY HAPPY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO AAAAAALL!
  578. S. Silv: I'm Jewish, so "Merry Christmas" is just not applicable. I never mind if people say it to me, but if you say "Happy Holidays", it applies to everyone.
  579. MusicGirl101: Omg the fact that Josh liked this is a problem. Colleen’s comment section isn’t about u but yours is all about her ugh this is sad 😭
  580. Nana Wordie: TinkerbellKat to me if you’re not a Christian and you celebrate “Christmas” you don’t actually celebrate christmas, you’re celebrating giftmas.
  581. Amber Evans: 😂😂😂
  582. Martie Mesh: I think "Happy Holidays" is great when you don't know the person, or are just casually acquainted. You can still use Merry Christmas with family and close friends. But no one should get offended about this at all. In the words of Louie Armstrong: I see friends shaking hands saying "how do you do?", they're really saying "I love you"...What a Wonderful World....no matter what the greeting! 💜
  583. jennifblair: Really? Do tell...
  584. Alyssa V: I understand that some people have always said merry Christmas and don’t want anyone to tell them they can’t but at the same time, there are other religions that are included and acknowledged when you say happy holidays. I think that the specific greeting for your religion should probably be kept to where you know the other people you’re with or saying it to are also part of it.
  585. Nick Anderson: Lol SOMEONES filtering through comments! Yikes!
  586. Just Niecy: Love this but then you had to go in with the NSYNC lol ya goof (jk luv you ) but no I love this topic I say both whatever I feel like saying at the moment
  587. Wheelz Haskell: +poeticeclipse Congrats, I am 32. No need to get offended, just trying to inform others. God bless.
  588. TheKitkat825: +Stephany Dove I dont want him to leave.
  589. Ma K: Be nice to people.
  590. That's What "i" Said: Yes; "enjoy the season" or "enjoy the holidays" doesn't sound offensive, does it? The sentiment is there...
  591. poeticeclipse: Who's trying to take Christ out of Christmas? Where did that idea come from?
  592. Catalina Dawn: What happened to the podcasts?
  593. Kia Cherise: For me, saying happy holidays is a way to be include everyone and there's nothing wrong with that. I'd rather say happy holidays to someone than to assume what they celebrate. I remember in Jr high and high school we would say Merry Chrisma-hanna-kwanzaa.
  594. Michael Daniels: You should do you, it is what it is, it’s Christmas . Sooooo, merry Christmas. If your not Christian , then why are you celebrating at all? No holiday, no greeting. Pretty simply. If they are not Christian and they don’t celebrate, and you wish them merry Christmas, it’s wrong of them to be offended. They are the politically incorrect. They can’t pardon you for wishing them friendly greeting in celebration of a holiday rooted in Christianity. They in return could say, thank you, but I’m not Christian. Why should the one wishing a gesture of friendly greeting in the spirit of a holiday in which is rooted in the birth of their savior be the one making the offense. The lord instructs us to be fishers of men/ women. If you can’t even offer a Christian greeting, then what has this world come to. Do Christians not have the same freedoms every other person have?
  595. Linda Jones: Merry Christmas every time.
  596. InfiniteCharacters: I have always said Merry Christmas to everyone. And I've never had any issue. People of all cultures have always said thank you as they appreciate the sentiment and the desire to share the holiday season with them......just as I enjoy when others share their holidays with me. I have Muslim friends who wish me a Happy Diwali or a Blessed Eid every year. It makes me feel happy that they want to share their traditions with me. I don't have a problem with Happy Holidays.....it's just not the first phrase that comes to my mind.
  597. Mia Roldan: i don't rlly care what people do, even tho it's awkward when people say merry christmas and i celebrate hannukah i just smile and nod lmaooo i'm sure if they knew i was jewish they would say happy hannukah
  598. Luz Carrizales: Lmao it’s not that serious
  599. That's What "i" Said: Right on, Speak the Truth.
  600. elisag27: 3:51 BINGO!!!! DING DING DING DING!!!!
  601. Jenn Summer: I’m happy with whatever good wishes I’m given. My greetings depend on who I’m talking to. If I don’t know what they celebrate, I say happy holidays. It’s really that easy.
  602. Pixie Dust: you’re just so lost
  603. kcallamajaji: I think the problem is that some companies/employers require their employees to say "Happy Holidays" in an effort to be more inclusive and as a marketing strategy. I think that's where this all got started. It wasn't a leftist agenda to erase Christmas, but a capitalist thing. And then people on the right got upset that employees were being "required" to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. silly.
  604. How Our Garden Grows: I send cards that say happy holidays because half of my family is Jewish and some are Christians and some are atheists who celebrate the winter solstice. Say what you feel like, I won’t be offended if you offer me a happy anything. In our family we do Hanukkah and Christmas and we have taught our kids about the other celebrations as well.
  605. Jude Payet: I say happy Christmas so yeah
  606. Janelle Quinton: Really love that intro. It never gets old
  607. CharliKJ: It's such a non-issue, if someone said "Happy Hanukkah!" to me I wouldn't think twice about it, it's like when people say "God bless you" if you do something nice for them or if they say they'll pray for you if you're struggling I don't turn around and go "UH ACTUALLY I'm an atheist so I don't care for your prayers and kind words!" the sentiment is they care enough about you in that moment to think of you when they pray, it's a lovely sentiment even if I don't necessarily agree with their beliefs. People should appreciate sentiment behind words and not necessarily the specific wording.
  608. vlogging peacock: If you are Jewish tell me Happy Hanukkah, if you are christian tell me Merry Christmas ect. I don't take it personal, you tell me the saying what you believe in. I personally think we need to stop taking things so personal.
  609. Tina Davies: Please tell me this isn’t a 7+ min video on this topic? Lol josh ur channel is going down hill from silly irrelevant videos like this
  610. Wicked Rouge: I think this whole debate is incredibly stupid. Say whatever you want to say. Let others say whatever they want to say. You wouldn’t put up with it if someone tried to shame you for saying one or the other and try to force you to say the other, so don’t expect other people to put up with it, either. I work at a call center and have had several customers wish me a merry Christmas or happy holiday. Whatever they say, I parrot it back to them. Because *I* don’t care either way, but I am TERRIFIED that if I say one or the other, they’re going to become outraged and demand that I say the other. It used to be that people were offended by, “Merry Christmas,” now, I’m seeing from the older crowd that NOT saying, “Merry Christmas,” is utterly shameful. I’m sick of it on either side. It is STUPID. There are MUCH more important things that we could be talking about, but this asinine debate is fired up again every single year. This country’s first amendment gives us the right to free speech, so let people say whatever the hell they want, and don’t try to force another person to conform to what YOU want them to say. It’s really THAT simple. People forever just need to get over themselves.
  611. Wheelz Haskell: America is a christian nation, we should say merry christmas.

  613. Jessica Moore: I say Happy Holidays because it’s includes everything, including the New Year. I have friends that are Jewish, and I don’t consider myself religious, although I was raised Christian. I think people should just say what they want to say, but also think it’s progressive to include other religions. It ain’t all about you, Uncle Dave! Know what I mean? 😉
  614. Amit Lal: I believe in God. I’ll say Merry Christmas to anyone who greets me in that fashion. To be respectful, I’ll say Happy Holidays or Season’s Greetings our in public just so its inclusive of everyone’s beliefs.
  615. Sara: it's probably more you a**hats coming for him in every single video, always bringing up his ex. They moved on, you should too. Grow up.
