When I was younger (too young to be playing with fireworks) a smoke stick I had must have been defective and it exploded in my hand. I still have the scars from it and I had to go to the burn center once a week for a little over a month. Luckily no skin grafts were needed, if it were any worse I would have needed it. Always stay safe and be prepared when handling any type of firework, smoke stick, or flammable object !
