kristina rodriguez: One day it was just me and my mom at home and my dad and uncle ( who lived with us at the time) were working. My mom and I hear a loud crash upstairs but didn't really think much of it. We thought maybe it was the cat or something so we went on with our day. Later on, we left to go run some errands and while we were gone my uncle called my mom and he was all upset. He said his room was a mess. His laptop was thrown off his desk and across the room, his dvds were scattered everywhere, and his play station was also off of the tv stand. No one had gone into his room that day and that's where we heard the crash noise from. It was not a break in because nothing was stolen and no doors or windows were unlocked and this happened twice while he lived with us. That is just one of many stories.

Ellie Strums: I just remembered I saw Steve on Jacksfilms channel LOL 2:22 why that looks like the hand of a cabbage patch kids doll. When I was a kid, probably around 4 or 5 years old, our apartment had ghosts. The ghost was a guy who would stand in doorways and sigh heavily. I would wake up in the middle of the night and see my doorway which was always lit because of the bathroom light. My doorway was clear but the mirror showing it was not. I always saw him in the mirror and he'd just friggin' breathe. I then had this friend who could talk to ghost and knew about him, his name, and how he died there. Our parents didn't know about him, so we didn't know how she knew.

Gabriela James: Since everyone is commenting their 'paranormal' experiences I shall comment one of mine. So a few years ago I went to Florida in the summer for a vacation. We stayed in this really nice house with a pool, Hot tub and everything. It was really pleasant during the day but at night the feeling just changed. It was a really open house with big windows so you always felt someone was watching you. The game room was above the garage and the only way to get there is through a narrow hall and staircase and the feeling in there was always sketchy and inclosed since there is only one exit. There is also an apartment above the house that is separate and to get to it was narrow spirally staircase and the fact that is was secluded made it even more scary to go up there. The last night we were there every one was almost ready to leave cause the feeling in the house became so bothersome. I couldn't sleep and it was past midnight so I decided to get up and go visit my brother in his room. Walking past the big clear windows was the scariest thing ever, the lights were dimmed so you could barley see across the room. I practically ran to his room. I opened the door and I heard a scream in the room where my cousin and her friend were staying. I said hi to my brother and then went to my cousins room to see why they screamed. When I opened the door I see that the lights are on and they are huddled together in the middle of the bed. They told me what had happened to them. They said they were getting ready to sleep and my cousins friend got up to turn the lights off. My cousin had already fallen asleep so her friend was the only one awake. When she returned to the bed she was about to get in and all of a sudden the lights turned on. She went back to turn them off and then she took like two steps and they turned back on. By then my cousins friend was getting freaked out so she woke up my cousin. My cousin went to turn off the lights again and they wouldn't turn off. She tried again and then they turned off..and then on and off and on. They were terrified. By then I was going to my brothers room so when I opened the door they were so scared the just screamed. Later that night I was scared to sleep on my own I stayed in my brothers room. The house was very modern so the closets in the room had motion detector light sensors, so when you go in the closet to get something, the light automatically turns on. I had this really eerie feeling and so I was just laying there with my eyes open, it was pitch black and all of a sudden I see a glowing light around the border of the closet door(the closet was closed). The light stayed on for like 5 mins. Needless to say, the next day I was glad to get out of there.

mishlopez: I'm actually enjoying reading everyone's ghost story comments. I personally have never experienced any phenomenon in my life so far but the house my mom grew up in (which my aunt now owns so I've been there numerous times) has some spirits lingering they believe. When my mom was little she said she would see a man dressed up in old time clothing with a top hat and just stand in her doorway. She also said she saw a woman in a white flowy dress that would sit at the bottom of her bed. She said she wasn't that afraid of them just a little spooked, but they never did any harm to anyone. Come to find out in the area where the house is was home to a city wide fire in the 1800's which pretty much destroyed the whole city and a lot of people died. So maybe these two sprits were still lingering from that day?

sarah Anne: The only thing that has ever happened to me is one night I was at my grandparents place and my sister and I were spending the night. Every one else was sleeping and I was watching tv in the living room. My little sister used to get night terrors and would wake up bawling in the middle of the night, she would then go to the bathroom and go back to bed. SO when the handle to the door of the room she was sleeping in started to move I thought she was like trapped in a night terror trying to get out of her room. The handle was turning like it would if you were trying to open the door. Not only could I hear it I could see the handle turning back and forth. I got up to open the door, because I thought my little sister was trying to get out, and by the time I opened the door a little crack I heard something scurry to the other side of the room so I threw the door open and turned on the light and my little sister was dead asleep on the bed. To this day I have no idea what it was, but it still freaks me out. That night I slept with all lights on. I do believe in ghosts and they literally creep me out so much!

TyMajestik: Alright so when I was about 4 or 5 my mom, dad, me and my sister lived in Encino CA and we moved into a duplex. I'm not sure who experienced what first but all of my family experienced something, and I didn't know until like 10 years later. I remember my experience very vividly still to this day, At the time me and my sister shared a room, and had a bunk bed, I had the top bunk, and I was sleeping, head faced to the door, my sister always slept feet faced to the door. So I wake up and I'm completely frozen, I couldn't move whatsoever, and all I could see was our door wide open, which was strange because I remember my dad closing the door before heading to his room that night. (which was down the hall) It had to be around 5-6 in the morning, because it was light enough for me to see what was happening outside of the door. And so all the sudden It got really cold in the room, and immediately after, I see a huge dark figure hunched over, running past our door atleast 10 times, and at this point I'm screaming for my dad, and as soon as my dad reaches my room to see what was going on, the figure disappeared. My dad thought it was just a nightmare, so he just closed the door and went back to sleep. But then 10 years later after we've moved from L.A to Texas my family is all just casually talking about ghost stories, and my mom starts talking about the duplex and said she saw a little girl in a gown walking down the stairs while she was taking up her laundry, but she didn't feel frightened by it, my sister goes on to say that she saw a little girl in a gown also, that sat on her lower bunk and was trying to talk to her. My dad said he saw something dark and tall by his studio door. And we all just looked at each other in shock realizing that we all saw something in that duplex. I never saw a little girl, and neither did my dad. I just find that it's weird that my sister and my mom saw the same ghost, while me and my dad saw a different ghost, but the same one.

Allison Selman: I believe in ghosts but I also believe in loved ones sending signs. My friend who died my senior year of high school was in marching band with me and everything died the Wednesday before our competition. This guy was the biggest supporter of our band, the biggest personality (and ego!), and one of the hardest workers. He had long hair and would French braid pigtails (they didn't look like pigtails. Like most of the braid was on his scalp if that makes sense) and for the competition that Saturday we decided to not wear our hats but instead do "Alex braids" if we wanted. As we were on the field during the most beautiful performance ever (we were raw and emotional and trying to make him fucking proud) a pale yellow butterfly flew over our band. I thought it was a sign and then didn't think much of it again until Veterans Day. This was about 2 or 3 weeks later and our band performs at a Veterans Day ceremony here. As we were playing the first concert band performance without him, a pale yellow butterfly flew over us. This happened at basically all of our outdoor events and I have no doubt that this was a sign from him. It's odd to think of this precious, tiny butterfly being sent from the big man that he was, but I think he's showing us that he's free.

She was laying on the couch, and could see in the bathroom.Then, she saw Amanda in the bathroom, and she said she looked like what she had looked like in pictures. By the way this was on Amanda's birhday.
Amy S: I was just hanging out in my room with my dog and for no reason she stood up and started barking at the corner of my room. I was trying to get her to stop but the fur on her back went up and she wouldn't stop barking. She didn't stop until I left the room. Then she backed out and I shut the door and ran away...
Adriana Hernandez: My house is haunted, a little boy died in MY room back in 2008. The reason we haven't moved is because my family and I are on a budget since we're not the wealthiest people in the world. We have financial problems and along with that, my dad does not believe in ghosts. My room is the most scariest and I experience multiple paranormal things every day. The scariest thing that has happened was me seeing a little boy with green eyes smile at me from my desk in the corner of my room, when I randomly woke up at 3 in the morning. Luckily I wasn't alone, my best friend saw it too and since she obviously isn't used to creepy stuff, she screamed making the boy immediately run off. I was speechless and shook to the core! this was last summer.

Renee Roberts: okay, so i have so many stories from this house but a short one is: a week maybe? after my dad past away(in the basement) i was cooking dinner on the stove home alone. i felt a presence behind me and i just started crying. i turned around and knew exactly where my dad was standing and just stared at it. i turned back around and felt a tug on my shirt and turned around and knew exactly where he was standing (different spot). i got so scared i sat in the living room until my mom got home. Jeffrey Rz: my mom got locked out of our house one time. so this is how it happened, she went outside to the backyard to get something in the shed and when she came back the front door was locked. now the door knob didnt have a lock on it, the locking system was the one where you would have to turn the lever in order to lock the door and the only way you can unlock it from the outside is by using a key. mind you, my mom didnt take her keys with her. she left the door unlocked when she went outside. she had to call someone that was renting a room in the house to come back from work in order to unlock the door so that she can get back in.
Paige Wauters: This isn't my ghost story, but it's my brothers. Yes plural. My step dad was in the military and was getting ready to come home from deployment so my grandmother was staying the night at our house to help my mom with myself who was probably 10, my brothers who were 5, 4, and 2. My grandmother was sleeping on the couch in the living room and my brothers who were 5 and 4 walked out to wake her up and a tall man in a trench coat and top hat was standing over her. When my brothers got to the end of the hall way this guy chased them back into their room. The next morning when my brothers told my mom and grandmother about it we all freaked out. There is no way that a 5 year old and a 4 year old can have the exact same story down to a tee and tell us at different times what happened! Scared the absolute shit out of me!

Rachel Smith: This happened to me a few years ago but it still freaks me out to this day. So I was on a trail ride with my horse and we were on our way home when we were walking down this fairly long hill and my horse stopped suddenly. His head flew up in the air and he stared off to the left, his heart beat and breathing started to get faster as I looked around. I had noticed that there were no birds singing which was a little strange but didn't think to much of it. I asked my horse to walk and he took one step and stopped so I looked around again when I suddenly heard a noise. The noise sounded like someone was dragging chains behind them as they walked and as we stood there the noise got closer and then would drift away. It felt like forever when this took place. Finally the noise had stopped so we started down the hill again but it was clear that I was not the only one freaked out from this experience because as we walked down the hill my horse was jigging and snorting until we got far away from that area. I know that no one was there because the section of woods that it took place in had been almost clear cut so I had no problem seeing through the trees and I know several other people who have had strange experiences around the same area of woods.
LarsHeat: My sister has a ghost story that I'm just gonna leave here. Her boyfriend at the time was quite abusive especially when on drugs. She was chilling at home alone watching TV or something and suddenly this super-old stranger man stands in the door and tells her to run away, get out of the apartment. She is shocked and confused and obviously doesn't do it and stays put. A short while later said boyfriend comes home and beats her up. (It took way too long until she left him and now has two kids with him so there's still a minimum amount of contact). Years pass and she picks up her kids at their paternal grandma's house and she sees a picture frame in the living room with the strange old man ghost in it. Turns out it was the (ex-)boyfriend's Dad. She described the clothes he was wearing and she says he only wpre them in hospital shortly before he died. There you go.

I was about 12 playing Polly pockets with my cousin in the garage around night and I dropped a shiny doll purse under the car in the garage and I seen it's creepy white face and sharp teeth I screamed and my grandmas bird started going crazy it turned into a light and headed for the beams in the garage roof and disappeared into a crack. My uncle saw it as a kid and recently in 2012 my moms aunts daughters daughter saw it during Christmas . They like shiny things or valuables... ever thought you lost something? Holly G: Lived in a house that was over 100 yrs old. I had pictures on barristers that were placed in front of the window. I would come home from work and all the pictures would be turned looking out the window. Once had a child's birthday party, I had placed most of the toys in the closet and kept a few out for the children to play with. The closet had a key lock so I locked the door. That night I hurt a loud banging on a door. I got up and looked around saw nothing. I asked the kids the next morning if they heard the banging. They both said yeah it was probably the old man in the closet. I never locked that door after that. We lived in the house for fourteen years.

(the one about watching himself in bed and seeing the shadow person) you were having an obe (out of body)/astral experience. Most of us leave our body every night when we dream, we just don't remember it. Anyways, if you ever feel scared or see something not wanted, just tell them they have no power here or that you're not scared, OR just think about your body and you'll be back in it in seconds. 2nd. Many people are ok with living with spirits, i like to stay in haunted hotels and the people that work there are always telling me things like "Ohh, William scared the shit out of the house keepers today" haha good stuff.

Umi Santiago: one time when i was little, I went to my dad's stepfather funeral and my brother and I were just looking around and we saw this little girl. It was realy weird tho because she didn't look like someone who was born around that time. She had tight curls in her hair with a bow and a dress that you would see on a little girl from those realy old movies. Anyway.. my brother and I see this little girl and she was skipping around and having fun and what not but then she tripped over a tree root that was sticking out and she fell. She started crying and my brother and I were kinda concerned so we turned around to tell my mom and when we looked back to show her...the little girl was gone

Me, my sister and brother were sitting in our kitchen after school and all the sudden a bag of tortillas flew off the top of the fridge clear across the room (which was all the way in a corner and the bag was all the way against the wall). Also my sisters and I always would see a dark little thing fly across the ceiling just in our peripheral vision. It was never scary when we saw it, we just called it the black fairy...which is fuckin creepy to think about now as an adult....

Zeus and Illyanna: The weekend my paw paw died. I was 19 years old. Anyways when he died I went and stayed with my maw maw that night. I slept in the bed with her, and I slept on his side of the bed. He died on the floor next to his side of the bed from a heart attach. Anyways, I was having a really difficult time getting to sleep. I was laying on my side facing the spot where he died with my eyes wide open. My hair was falling on the side of my face. As I am laying there I feel and see my hair move from the side of my face to behind my ear. At that time I felt this peace come over me, and I fell right to sleep.

TyMajestik: Another even more eerie story, (this was probably like 3 or 4 years when I was around 13 or 14) is when me and my family had just moved into a new house, but this time we have a baby brother and our grandma was living with us. So the first time we actually got everything moved in and slept in the house, me and my sister still shared a room and had the EXACT same bunk bed from the last story I told. (IKEA furniture lasts man😂) So as I start to fall asleep, I very subtly felt something move past me, and then my eyes look up to the ceiling for whatever reason, and as soon as I do, I hear a sliding noise. But you know, I always was scared when we first moved into a new house, just because it's a different surrounding, so I just shrugged it off and fell asleep. The house always made weird sounds during the night, but eventually I got used to it. About a year later, I'm heading up the stairs and I freeze for a second and look back, because I felt heavy, and overwhelmingly felt like something was watching me, and I ran up stairs. I had never got an eerie feeling going up those stairs until that very moment. But I just thought it was normal because other people always say the get the same feeling going up stairs, so then again I just shrugged it off. So about a couple months later (still feeling scared to go up the stairs, still hearing noises around the house at night) my mom comes out of her room saying her phone is missing. She had said he left it on her night stand like she always does, but it just went missing. So we searched the WHOLE FREAKING HOUSE, LITERALLY, for weeks, and we could never find it. Going a couple weeks back I had checked in our pantry, I even checked through these Aldi bags we had sitting at the bottom of the pantry, and I didn't find anything. Flashing forward to a couple weeks later, we're still searching, still not finding anything, and we're all interrogating each other at this point. No one had a clue on where it was. And it was starting to get more serious because my mom needs to have her phone with her, especially while she's far away from us at work. So I'm walking in the kitchen, and I look at the pantry and decided to look through the bags one last time, as I'm looking through the bags, I feel the phone, and my body freezes, because I knew I had checked in the same spot numerous times, it wasn't there before. I give the phone to my mom, and my whole family is looking at each other flabbergasted because we had all checked in that exact spot numerous times, We knew at that point that there's something really wrong with the house, on top of the eerie sounds, and feelings, and now a phone being practically moved around the house, We started getting really skeptical, because other things started happening. Months later, I hear something slam in my brothers room, and then I hear my brother yell (this was in the room me and my sister had the first year we lived in that house, but we switched rooms to the loft next to our old room just because we needed more space). He came running out of his room panting, and saying he saw a monster in his room. We are all beyond irritated and on our last leg with the house, so we all get together and pray, and ever since then nothing happened. We still have no idea what the ghost looked like visually. We did eventually move just because we needed more space, but yup. My parents have more stories from that house that they still to this day haven't told me yet, and ON TOP of that we found out that the people who lived in it before us had some freaking fifty shades of grey club type stuff going on in that house. It just wasn't what we expected at all, because the house was super nice in a super nice Texan neighborhood, we didn't suspect or expect anything of that house. And boyyyy did we experience some stuff.😂😭

Anna Wise: Once when I was younger I lived in this house that was haunted. Every night when I went to bed there was a figure that would stand in my doorway it was an older man with a cane and a top hat. And he would stand there and watch me until I fell asleep. And once I saw a face come out of the floor next to my bed and just stay there. I ended up screaming for my mom and I was crying. My mom didn't really believe me at first. Then once in the same house my mom saw a hand waving at her around a corner and she said she felt like it was telling her to go that way so she went into my room and I was almost falling out of my bed. That's the only reason I felt safe in that house. I know this might sound stupid but I felt like they were trying to look over me. Then also my mom said she used to hear one of my mom and dads friends (he lived with us for a while) talking on the baby monitor. And when she went upstairs there was no one up there. I didn't like that house but I really want to go back and look around. I kind of miss the house but I don't because of everything that happened.
Rebecca Knowles: Crystal Star I didn't know what an empath was until recently. I fell onto a story about empaths and did some research on it. Fits me to a T! ...and since I was little too! I have always felt the emotions of those around me and commonly hear the words "I don't know why I'm telling you my whole life story, we just met" from strangers. I also have very vivid dreams and strong intuitions that have come into reality. I have had quite a few encounters with spirits. The one that scared me the most was when I was about 8 years old and I had a full blown conversation with a disembodied voice that was asking for help. I do believe in spirits, they intrigue me and scare me at the same time. The last house I lived in with my mom before moving out on my own had a friendly spirit. My mom felt that it was a male. She is also sensitive and she named the spirit Stanley. He would turn lights on and off, and move objects. The last time I was in the house, and the first time my daughter, at the age of 9 months, was in the house, Stanley actually started playing with her baby doll that had a rattle attached to it. I was dead asleep, and the doll was in her pack and play, and she was asleep next to me. I can go on about the encounters I have had, and the intuitions and dreams that have turned reality. I often pray for peace of mind and protection when I sleep because that is when I feel the most vulnerable to this, what most people who know me, call a "gift" that I have been given.

So time goes by and we hear the door open and close and we hear someone waking in saying "I'm home" so we run in there wanting our food and no one was even there. FHLAXLVRMD: My aunt was kind of a strange woman, and died many years ago when I was a kid. My family has always joked that her spirit came back in the form of a bird. A few years ago on Christmas eve, my siblings and i were all up chatting in our living room at about 2 in the morning. All the sudden this bird flew into the living room. the bird flew around the room, panicked, and knocked over every single picture frame in the room- except for one of my aunt. There were probably 25 picture frames standing up, and by the time the bird flew out of the house a few minutes later, all but one picture had fallen over. not really a ghost story, but we all joke about it. My cousins have all reported weird ghost-like situations that they attribute to their mom (my aunt).

The Age of Fabulous: Once, in the middle of the night, the there was a loud noise coming from the cemetery. This wasn't a child's imagination because the entire house was awoken by the "whomping" sound that was being made every 30 seconds. My parents, siblings and I walked out unto the back porch and there was a dampened orange glow filtering from the tree line that was between our fence and the cemetery. My father shooed us inside and called the non-emergent police line. From the time we went indoors to dad making the call, the sound and glow was gone. It was as if someone turned off a TV, the whole event was over. The police went over and didn't find anything abnormal at the cemetery, just a couple of the geese that swam in the pond dead on the shore with no known cause of death. That morning, I was playing outside when our neighbors came over to discuss our weird phenomenon which is unsolved to this day. My parents have lived in that house since the 1990s and this has never occurred again.

A few years later, hurricane Andrew had hit and the building where he was killed was boarded up, and over 100 F in the summer, (i didn't know about this air mans death) but when i was walking thru the building i felt an area that felt easily only 60 F. When i said something to the people who worked at the base they said it was the ghost. It was me, my bff, my lil bro, and his bff. We rode to the park and I got a EMF signal that said within 5 feet. Then the spirit box started saying things, it said hide and seek, name, June, girl, and lust. June followed us to the playground and said weapon then it said malevolent which if you do not know is the desire to do evil to others. At first it was little things like sounds or my closest door would always be open when I came back from class (it was a slide door) and we would have drops in temperature. We would talk to him like oh charlie stop messing about. But one night he scared the living shit out of me. It was 3 am and I was just getting into bed. My computer was broken so it didnt turn off i just put it to sleep so in order to do it there were two keys you had to hit. I was in bed when i heard 2 distinct taps and then my room lit up with the screen. I stared at it and then i heard two taps again and it went off. I freaked and put my self under the covers as if I was 6 (i was 22) Then the temperature dropped and i heard the slide of the closet door. I froze and I dont know how long I laid there until i heard what sounded like my roomate say Jessie Im out here... I bolted out of my room to the kitchen but it was empty and her room was locked. I looked in my room and the closet was open. I heard my name once more but a deeper voice... ran to the bathroom and locked myself in there till she woke up. From that day we saw shadow figures of charlie but nothing as intense as that night. When we moved out I found a Bible and holy water in the corner of my closet. Looks like I wasnt the only one that dealt with him ... I freaked when i found it. That was 5 years ago and I still remember that voice so clearly.

TheMorningglorytaffy: My story...I lived in a house built in the1930s. I was the 3rd owner of the house and the basement was filled with the original owner's possessions. So many items you could basically string a narrative about who he and his family were. Photos, cards, letters, bills, receipts, glasses, car keys and the husband's obituary. I felt I almost knew these people.One night I was alone in the house in bed and it was only about 10PM. As plain as day you could hear someone bolting up the stairs. I freaked out because I thought someone had broken in the house. I got out of bed because I was sure I was about to be confronted by an intruder and didn't want to be cornered in my room. I went into the hall and there was no one there. I looked in each room and again no one. I then thought, maybe I heard someone run down and not up? I searched the house and nothing. My burglar alarm was set so probably no intruder. My cat was very alert however and he is one lazy guy usually. I looked in the basement and the first thing I lay my eyes on was the original owner's obituary and I realized this date was the 40th anniversary of his death and the obit read that he had passed at 10PM. So who knows?

I woke up in the middle of the night to see a vague guy in a suit, walking towards me with a a small hand towel draped over his head. I put my arm up over my face to protect myself (I was young). When I looked up, he was gone. The next morning I told the owners and they said the place used to be owned by a barber and used the room that I stayed in as a shop he ran out of his house and it wasnt the first time they heard that! We only stayed one night but still wish I could back. It was in Cape Cod somewhere.

mdees1593: I was extremely close to my gram ever since I was born. She always told me when she dies she's gonna mess with my lights to scare me and so I know she's with me. She passed away Sept 5, 2013 on that night when I got back from the hospital I was in my room crying and my lights flickered multiple times and it was just my room. No other light in the house did that just mine, it has happened multiple times after that. Even my parents seen my lights flicker so I wasn't going insane. My dad checked my light to make sure nothing was wrong and it was fine.
Franziska: I had some weird things happening to me over the last year(s), the first time I ever experienced something was about 8 years ago and it wasn't actually me but my dog reacted sensitively to something in the house, random days where she would go from being her happy self to freezing in the middle of the living room, staring up the staircase, up to the point where she started to shake in fear and then became really sick for the rest of the day. no matter how much you called her she wouldn't move, she just stood there frozen while staring upstairs. Back then I never felt anything and then last year it was around my birthday, which is always a difficult time for me because my grandpa passed away many years ago but he and me share the date, but there was one night a week before my birthday where I had a really bad dream and then all of a sudden something woke me up and almost instantly there was this wall of static surrounding me, I had goosebumps and I was ice cold. I got up and left the bedroom and as I did this static followed me around for a good 5 minutes until it disappeared. Then a week later mid day all of a sudden that same static feeling flared up again, shortly after the same dog that reacted sensitively before jumped off the couch and became violently sick out of nowhere. Then a month later I again had a nightmare and was woken up, this time, however, there was nothing in the room but I got up and as I was about to pull the bedroom door towards me it slammed shut, so I opened it and there it was this static in the hallway. It's so weird cause I never felt afraid of it and it felt like it was checking in on me and when it noticed that I felt its presence it left the room before I would notice it. I haven't "felt" anything in about 7 months or so, but there's this odd feeling that it's my grandpa, the time frame just seems so oddly convincing and the fact that I never felt scared, rather than it waking me up from those dreams that scared me. Its a really strange experience and hard to imagine if you never felt it, but I do 100% belief that ghosts are real in one shape or another.

Michelle Pedersen knudsen: this story is just one out of many. i was 11 or 12 years it was early afternoon and was writing a song in my room as i would do almost everyday back then. at some point i had to go the bathroom and as i open my door i see this little girl proberly 8 or 9 years old with a white lace dress long blond curly hair walking right past me through our hallway and in to the kitchen, she stopped at our kitchentable and started to reach for our cabinettes, i tried to ask who she was but then she disapeared. i never saw her again but i did hear a lot of giggly noises, but it didn't bother me because it never felt evil or anything. she was just there and that was okay as long as she didn't try to scare me.
Angelica Cruz: Some time after my great grandma passed away, she and my great grandpa's spirits visited. My great grandpa passed away a year or so before my great grandma, but they both passed away in Mexico and I didn't attend the funeral because I was pretty young. So one day I was at my grandma's apartment and my aunt was babysitting my younger brother and I, out of no where she says "Oh you know grandpa and grandma are here?" and she called out their names and I kid you not you could hear footsteps. I was terrified at this point because 1. I was very scared of ghosts when I was younger (I still am but not as bad as then) and 2. Bc my great grandpa was very sick so the memories I have of him are of him in his room laying on his bed and my great grandma was starting to loose her memory and I was young, so I didn't really know them well. So the day goes on and we're in my grandma's room coloring. I was on the bed and I suddenly feel like a warm feeling past through my chest and I could feel the presence of my great grandpa standing next to me. The warm feeling felt so peaceful and calming but once it passed I started freaking out and was calling out for my aunt and she was at her desk and says "Grandpa come over here, don't scare her" and I felt his presence walk away. When I told my mom she said it was a sign and a blessing but now anytime someone passes away I kind of feel uneasy because my family is very prone for seeing passed on loved ones in dreams and stuff.

Amanda Reed: Ok, so I paused your video, and I went to Marissa's channel and started watching some of her videos about the ghost, and in one of them, you straight up watch a scratch mark appear on her neck, her and her sister freak out and she can't even stop the tears from springing up. I have had so many of my own experiences with the supernatural and paranormal, I have no doubt in my mind that she's being ... I don't even want to use the word haunted. Haunting sounds so docile compared to what she's going through. When something starts physically hurting you and leaving marks, there needs to be a better word... like poltergeisted (to coin a phrase).

Tina Ari: FHLAXLVRMD my mom has had weird occurrences after she has lost her grandparents and some other family members...she would wake up several nights in a row, hearing that specific person calling her name. It's so odd. I'll have to find out if it's before or after this person has passed. I want to say it's after. I've had wayyyy too many experiences to share here, but as far as hearing from someone who is gone, Last year I was in the hospital after I had a bad reaction to some meds. I was so out of it and having hallucinations...one of which involved a friend who told me that she was "leaving" and she wanted me to come with her, as she said. We had an extended conversation that I can still go into details about, not even kidding, and through the whole time, she tried so hard to convince me to "come with her". So...a few days later, after I'm out of the hospital and I'm talking to my aunt, I start freaking out on her, crying asking if it's true that my friend is gone....aunt starts crying and tells me that she definitely committed suicide and it was while I was in the hospital. (everyone was told not to mention it to me yet, so no one knew how I found out).

But I was thinking about him sometimes even though I was not seeing him anymore. And it makes me feel bad because even if I didn't fell anything like you I cared about him and maybe I would try to talk to him before he dies. Anyway the experience of your friend who tells about the shadow looks like sleep paralysis to me, I also have it. There is nothing extraordinary about it, just some people have it when they are very tired.

tayy: My family lived in a house in a small division in the country, my siblings and I all experienced supernatural incidents in the house . On the second floor of the house was a bathroom and two bedrooms . If you sit in the hallway on the second floor you can feel someone staring at you. On the main floor was another bedroom and the rest of the house. My brother saw a white object walk into the bedroom on the main floor from the living room. A few of my friends , family and I were sitting in the kitchen one day, when all of a sudden one of our small candles flew off of the stereo in the living room to the other side of the room, then my beaded necklace broke and flew all over the dining table , after that my friend stood up and her chair flew over . everyone witnessed this and it was the most insane thing I've ever seen. My sister and I have also seen "sitting" indents on the bed where no one was sitting. And one night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up in my bed , no one knew how I got from room to room and I've never did any sleep walking in my life before . A few years ago I was living in a house with my boyfriend . One night I was sleeping in the bedroom, he was sitting in the living room and heard an elderly lady speaking in my bedroom where I was sleeping. My sister and her boyfriend were watching my dog on night while we were away and they heard the exact same woman speaking. I've had a few other experiences but these were the most memorable

Anna Hussey: I've always believed in spirits and the afterlife but I have had too many experiences not to! The most confirming experience for me was a couple of years ago, I had moved back in with my parents for a bit (after a break up/due to finances and until I could find my own place) and my parents are very routine based people. I was in my room for awhile reading and doing my own thing and I walked out to go downstairs at about 9:30 to watch tv as this is usually the time my dad goes up to bed so I can have the tv to myself( as I'm a night owl)... my parents room is right to the right of "mine" when you walk out and when I walked out of my room(there were no lights on) I saw my dad in the dark, in his room, walking into the bathroom. Now this is very common of my Dad to do when he goes to bed( he's a cheapskate who rarely turns lights on) he will walk into the dark room and then go into the bathroom, turn the light on, get undressed and get into the bed (so I thought nothing of it). Then, I walked downstairs and saw both my dad and mom sitting on the couch watching tv... when I saw them both sitting there, I literally dropped to the floor screaming and crying"omg omg omg, I just saw dad in his room, and he looked at me as he walked/disappeared into the bathroom in his room but you're sitting right here! There is no way! Omg, I just saw a full bodied apparition"! I was hysterical and slept with my Mama like a little baby for days! After I was able to process it, I'm convinced it was my uncle (dads brother who passed away about 10 years ago) as it looked just like him...when I saw this "ghost" he was walking into the bathroom (in a dark room) and when I turned and saw him, he turned and looked at me as well and we both just kept walking ( me down the hallway) and "he" disappeared into the en suite bathroom and it looked just like my dad! Scariest moment of my life and if I ever was a bit skeptical before, I will always believe, after that experience. I think until you have had witnesses an undeniable experience , you always be a little bit of a skeptic. Last thoughts... do I believe spirits exist? ABSOLUTELY! Do I think others can/do fake spiritual/paranormal evidence and that most of what you see in media is fake? ABSOLUTELY!
sarah faulhaber: So I've never thought of my house as haunted until last year-- so my younger sister was in my room with the door closed with me cats and from my bathroom when you look in the mirror behind you when the doors open you can see my bedroom door-- so I was brushing m teeth I see my sister in the mirror she makes eye contact with me then walks down the hall to my parents room and I didn't see my door open-- and I was really confused so I walked down the hall to m parents room and all the lights were off and she's not in there there's no way she could have gotten past me without me seeing my door open it her walking past me

lizzie: go to the Stanley Hotel and I guarantee you you'll experience something of some sort and it will make you a believer. I went a few weeks back during Spring Break and I was already a believer (I've had a few experiences that has no other explanation) but damn did it confirm it more. Like I saw a heavy door OPEN and CLOSE with no one there among other things like saying I wanted to see a certain flash light turn on and then it did right once I said it. Anyways, take my word or don't, go check it out for yourself to see what you think :) besides, the Stanley was the inspiration for The Shining and it's actually so beautiful (Estes Park is beautiful in itself) and doesn't feel like a threatening feeling but actually really calming. I was freaked out about going but once I went, it was actually an enjoyable experience I can't explain but now I've since seen the Ghost Hunters episodes on it to compare it to my personal experience and those actually scared me and freaked me out even though when I was experiencing some of the things they were experiencing (like the closet door opened and closed in Jason's room exactly the same way as the one I saw in the Music Hall), I didn't feel alarmed at all but rather fascinated. It seemed more scientific than scary if that makes sense & it was kind of comforting to understand it more. It was so weird and not what I was expecting.

grace konchan: I HAVE A REAL STORY!! IT HAPPENED TO MY UNCLE! So he used to live in this house that was originally an apartment complex, but they made it into basically a mansion. And so every night when he went to bed he would always feel someone grab his right ankle and not let go. So every night he would have to go downstairs and sleep on the couch. It happened for a couple of weeks before he moved out. He thought it was just his mind BUT IT WAS NOT. so right before he sold the house my entire family went there to do a ouija board. I went up there for 5 minutes and the plastic thing MOVED BY ITSELF. FULL ON MOVED BY ITSELF. WE ALL WERE SCREAMING IT WAS SO SCARY. But so then he found the phone number of his original landlord a few nights later and asked if anyone ever died in there and he found out a 12 year old boy died named Alex. AND WHAT DID THE OUIJA BOARD SAY? THAT HE WAS 12 AND HIS NAME WAS ALEX. IT WAS SO SCARY. but now he lives with his wife and step kids and there are no ghosts so it's Gucci.

Crystal Star: I had an experience! Promise, it's 100% real. It's a long story. Now, I was NOT a believer at that time. Total skeptic. Always scoffed at those "silly" ghost hunting shows on TV. Couldn't even watch them. Also, my husband and I are pretty desensitized to horror. It's our favorite genre to watch. Plus, our generation's video games probably. Almost every year we go to Halloween Horror Nights of Universal Studios. All good fun. Never had any issues. Well, a few years ago, we decided to try something different. We got tickets to Dark Harbour at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. We decided to stay the night on the ship to avoid driving the hour back home late at night. Now, I'd heard that it was haunted, but I was like NAH, whatever. It's 'not. Pshaw. Let's enjoy the neat room on a ship! It was actually really cool looking. Had this little small round window you can see the ocean through, an old vanity, a bathroom... with a really tall door. That'll make sense later. We settled in, explored the area, went to a nice dinner, had some champagne, then went outside to the enjoy the awesome mazes. Had a blast! Went back to our room, were both exhausted, and passed out. Ok. This is where it started. At around 2 or 3 in the morning, I was abruptly awaken by a young girls voice crying "MOMMY" pretty close. Sometimes I even think that it was ME saying it, it's hard to describe, but I also felt this sense of dread, as if some one was coming after me. I should mention that I'm an empath, am sensitive, and also that I work with kids, including those with special needs as an ABA therapist. Kids take to me really easily, and we talked about how maybe this was why whatever it was connected with me. Well, I had awoken my husband, and he said he hadn't heard it, just me yelping, and shaking his shoulder. He got up, checked, and found nothing. We both kind of chalked it up to different things like maybe it was part of a dream, or I had a little too much bubbly, you know, maybe the mazes got to me even though they never had before, etc, explanation, excuse, yada yada. It felt so real to me though, but I just shook it off, and tried to go back to sleep. About an hour later we both were awoken by what sounded like Heavy boot sliding footsteps, and then a huge bang on the inside of the bathroom door, which was closed. My hubby got up, turned on the lights, checked again, but there was nothing there. After that I had a hard time falling asleep. I kept kind of nodding in and out. We both just kept coming up with reasons that could have explained it away. Well, breakfast time came, I took a shower, then got ready. When my hubby was done with his shower, he stepped out of the tub, and because he's much taller at 6'2", he was able to see the top of the really tall door... on the sill, very high up, was a yellow green crayon that neither of us remember seeing the day before. How the heck did it get there? Why would that be there? We're still both just trying to explain it away, like maybe it's set up by the staff, but things just kept adding up. Then, we went on a tour, during which part we learned of a story about a young girl who was murdered, and another who drowned on the ship. Also, how guests have often mentioned a young girl and another more evil spirit nearby her, exactly what had happened! When we were at the infamous pool area, we took a picture. I decided to put my hand out to my side a little, and sure enough there was one of those orb thingies right by me in the photo. There were NO other orbs in any of the many photos we took that trip. I felt so weird the whole ride back home, a bit shaken up, not knowing what to think, wondering what to make of everything. Last thing that convinced me that I wasn't just imagining things was when I went home and starting researching the crap out of it, and came across an episode of one of those "stupid" shows that I refused to watch before of documentation of almost the exact same experience that I had. Honestly, I believed the first event when I heard that MOMMY and sensed emotions I've never experienced before or since. It's just one of those things that you don't know until it happens to you. I'm a Christian, and wanted to know what the bible says on the subject. I found some info that states that there no such thing as ghosts, however, there ARE certainly demonic spirits. And often times they pose as little girls. I do know there's dark forces, but am still on the fence about ghosts. BTW, I told my mom, who is Catholic, and she said.. "oh dear you gotta do the sign of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, and pray, cause those things can attach to you!" I was like, gee, thanks Mom! LOL. Then, I totally did the sigh of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, like 20 times, and said the Our Father, and Holy Mary for good measure!!!! Anyway, that's what happened. Now, being not too far, you and your fam/friends are welcome to stay a night on the ship to see for yourself if you have a similar experience. In fact, I Double Dog Dare ya this Halloween, haha! ;) It may be a pretty entertaining Youtube Video, just sayin! I hear that not every one experiences something though, but there's a lot of History and intrigue at the least, not to mention Dark Harbour was pretty awesome. I'd visit the ship again maybe for their special events. But would I ever stay the night there again? Heck NO!!! That's a negative. NOPE. But yaaaa YOU can check it out if you're feeling brave, haha!

Paige Werden: One day about five years ago I lost my tooth one night and put it under my pillow. In the middle of the night I had to go to the bathroom which was right next to my room out in the hallway. It was the middle of the night so I kept the bathroom door open cause no one was awake so it didn't matter. As I went to the bathroom I looked outside the door into the hallway. I felt a weird feeling and then all the sudden a white figure floating above the ground passed by the door into my room. It looked as if it was floating and it flashed by me very fast. At the time I thought it was the tooth fairy and I was amazed cause I thought the tooth fairy was absolutely fake. But now I'm thinking it wasn't the tooth fairy and something else. Chantel Kinyon: When I was in high school we moved into a bigger home. this home was older but newly renovated. they never told us someone passed there or anything of the sort. well about a couple days into us living there. in the master bedroom we had a closet next to the bathroom. my mom said a couple times that she had the closet light off and the closet door shut. but when she went back in the room it was open and with the light on. my mom asked if any of us were in the closet for some reason. we all told her no so she thought maybe she was just losing her mind. but then it kept happening. one day she had enough and needed to know what was going on. so when all of us were at school and my parents were at work she made sure she closed the door to the closet and turned off the light she made us all watch as she did this and then she locked the door to the room and had the keys with her at work. when we all got home we unlocked the bedroom door and sure enough the closet door was wide open and the light was on. we all freaked out but we just moved in and we did not have the money to move again so we stayed we just except the fact that a ghost lived in that closet or something. when we got a dog she would not go any where near that area she would follow my mom around every where but if she passed the closet the dog we stay on the other side of the room and whimper. that was the last straw we knew for sure there was something there we just could not see. and a few times mom mom said she sore she saw one of us three kids walking around playing only to relize none of us were home. it was freaky

Anyway, after my favorite Great Aunty died that I was really close to I've smelled the incense scent that she always used a few times. Idk if there's a logical explanation, I just know that that never happened to me before or since that time. Idk I'm not saying it's paranormal, i just thought I would mention it because of the story you shared. (Btw I live in Hawaii so that's where it happened to me too idk if that matters but I'm mentioning it) And in relation to Steve's story, I've been freaked out by thinking pets were seeing something that I couldn't. (cats and dogs) I usually just think I'm freaking myself out, but there have been a couple of times where I've felt like I felt a creepy presence and then I look at my dogs and they're all following something around the room and they look scared and bothered too. When all of them are looking in unison and I can't see it that freaks me out. Idk what it is, but it's eerie.

Angi Bryan: My Ghost story: I've always been a skeptic, and most people are until it happens to them, but when we moved into this one apartment my daughter and I had some experiences. She would have been about 17 at the time and I was 38. First incident happened in the kitchen. We had just moved in, my daughter was in her bedroom at one end of the apartment, with family friends who had helped us move. I was in the kitchen, on the other end of the apartment, unpacking. My back was to the door way to the kitchen and I heard a loud whisper say, "mom". I fully expected to turn around and see my daughter, it was clear and very audible. I thought maybe she had to tell me something and didn't want our company to hear her, but no one was there, so I went into the dining room thinking she'd stepped out there. No one was there either, so I went around the corner into the living room and looked down the hallway. I saw my daughter coming out of her room, looking back over her shoulder as she said something to our company. She turned and saw me.. and apparently I had a puzzled look on my face because as she got closer to me she asked me "what?" I answered her with the question, "were you just in the kitchen?" That's when she started looking puzzled. Now, I'm a mom who knows my kids.. and my daughter is NOT capable of keeping a straight face to trick me, and the way that she came out of her room, and the fact that I would have heard her scrambling to get to her room so quickly.. there's really no way that she could have been pranking me. So, I told her, "never mind" and she shrugged it off. The next incident happened.. same apartment within the same week, because we were still unpacking the last of our boxes: I had to run out to the store to get something and I went to put on my shoes. I could only find one of them... and it's not unusual for me to lose a shoe, but I looked everywhere for the other one.. finally I went back to where the first shoe was, by the computer stand in the dinning room. There was a low shelf on the stand and I thought maybe it got kicked under it... I had to get on the floor to see under it and while I was down there I first scanned under the dinning room table... no shoe. Then I turned my head to look under the computer stand when I heard a thud behind me.. I turned to see what it was and it was other my shoe, under the dinning room table where I had JUST looked. The next experience was in my daughters room, a few days later. We were finished unpacking, but we were decorating my daughters room. It was her, the two people who had helped us move, and me. She had a closet with sliding doors and one side was open. She was going to get some items off the shelf that she wanted to hang and as she went towards the closet.. she had not gotten to the closet yet.. nor was she close enough to touch the closet or the doors.. I know, I was looking right at her.. when her sheathed knife (we live in Georgia, and she carries a knife for protection, lots of southern girls do that) ANYway.. her knife came flying off the shelf.. it didn't fall.. it flew at least five feet from the closet in the air and landed by the feet of one of our guests. Simultaneously, my daughter gasped, the guy whose feet the knife landed by jumped, our other guest let out an "oh my god" and I just froze.. then we all looked at each other.. and that's when I told them about the other two incidents. After what had just happened no one doubted what I told them, and my daughter remembered when I'd asked her if she was just in the kitchen and was like, "Oh, that's what that was about" Finally... things had settled down for the most part the following days, except for this one picture I had on the wall. It was always crooked. I'd fix it and next time I'd walk passed it, it would be crooked again. It wasn't in a place where it could be bumped.. It was over the TV stand.. so a person couldn't just brush against it. I'm not typically OCD, except when it comes to crooked pictures. It must have happened a dozen times when I'd finally had enough.. I'd accused my daughter and my guy of messing with me, but they adamantly denied it.. so, I said, "look, I don't mind you being here, but PLEASE stop tipping my picture?" After that, we had no more activity. Why we didn't move... we just moved there, and we didn't have money to make another move. Sorry this is so long... but you asked for a ghost story.. and that's mine. :) BTW, really liking this series.

When I was on a school camp I was around 9/10 it was around 8pm and it was time for us to go to this giant ass swing but we all needed our torches since it was dark, so I had to go back to the girls tent to my bed to get my torch, I was alone btw and I walked a little away from the crowd of school mates and camp instructors to get there, I walk in and I couldn't really see a thing so I started to feel around on my bed looking for my torch and I couldn't feel it anywhere so I thought to myself I would be a bit silly and randomly call for it.... so I called out "Torch?!" And NO JOKE, a random torch on another bed across from my own had flickered on! I was alone, it was weird I go to it and picked it up and noticed it was a torch you had to TWIST to turn on!!??? Like I don't understand how it was a thing, so I used that torch to find my own then tossed it back onto the bed where I found it and called out "thank you..!" Polite as heck child.. haha! But yeah I went back out to everybody and a few parents was there and I stated what happened and one just joked that I'm now "Courtney Potter" lmao probably thought I was making it up 😂 I do think they're real, freaks me the heck out..

Ritchie: My ghost story isn't that impressive BUT this was at a place I used to live almost a decade ago. Every single night, at around 3 AM, I would just feel a presence in the corner of my room. I would just *feel* somebody's eyes on me. One night at about the same time, I was just up on my laptop and laying in bed when I distinctly remember feeling somebody grab my forearm. I froze, too freaked out to move, and just didn't do anything for a few minutes. I ended up turning my lights on and sleeping with the TV on because I sure as fuck was not going to sleep in a dark and quiet room after that happened.
Bryanna Mae: I'm so glad Erin is a YouTuber, she is my absolute favorite. My ghost story: this took place two weeks ago. I've always sort of felt a presence in my apartment since I moved in. Last week after my boyfriend left for work I was still in bed taking my time to get up. I could hear someone walking from the living room to the bedroom but when I got up I was alone. I got back in bed since I still had some time before work and so I laid back down to watch the sunrise and I could hear the footsteps again beside my bed and the sound of like coins in a pocket or a belt being unbuckled looked up and no one was there but there was this sort of vacuum of silence. Laid back down since I was so scared I wrapped myself up in my blanket and then this presence starts touching the sides of my bed as it walks around and then sits at my feet and I could feel the weight of someone sitting there but could not see anything there.
Jazzlynn Elizabeth: My husband and I bought a house right before we got married, it would be about two years now. We would hear knocking sounds every now and, we always just thought it was the house settling, long story short the house was broken into while I was home alone, a little while after that we hear it on the back french doors late at night, we call the cops and let my parents know what is going on (they live less than 5 minutes away, and since the brake in we knew it would take awhile for the cops to get here), while we are waiting the knocking moves around the house and to other doors. My dad beats the cops to the house, he and my husband check around the house but can't find evidence of anyone. There was no way someone could have ran away/jumped a fence within the time we heard the last knock and my dad pulled in. I said all that to get to this, after the brake in we boarded up the door that was broken into, the only way outdoors from that room. We're watching tv one night and the door, to that room, starts shaking and the doorknob is wiggling as if someone is trying to get it. One night my husband was woken up by a cup falling out of the cabinet and weird noises in the kitchen but in the morning the cabinet was shut and we couldn't find a cup. I've had things fall off couches and counters that shouldn't have moved/rolled and I've had things that were standing still hit me while I was doing my hair/makeup. I've had decorations on the wall and twice, in two different places, they just fell and once I put them back up never fell again nor had they fallen before.
Adrienne Credo: My roommate and I freshman year of college were wondering if we both snored. so, I downloaded this app that tracks your sleep movements AND records audio. we had been using the app on my phone for a few weeks and I would go over the audio every morning to check how loudly I snored or how quiet the room would be. one day, i played the audio at times when my movement was pretty minimal. at around 3 or 4 am, my snoring abruptly stopped and for a few minutes it was silent. then very clearly, I heard the words "don't look up" play and I was DONE. I played it for my roommate and my suitemates and we were all like whaaaaat! before this audio recording, our room, which is opened by a key card, would be left open a few times after either my roommate or I left for class. we would assume the other left it open on accident, but after communicating about it, we realized something weird was happening so we would double triple check our room door before we left. even with that, we'd still have our door opened. we checked with our dorm housing office, thinking maybe maintenance was doing something, and they said that the only key cards used were mine and my roommates. the rest of the year, weird things would happen to our room or some other people in our suite. eventually, my roommate put a rosary in the room and our last two months in that room were pretty silent. other rooma, however, did experience some weird shit too. 🙃

Jennifer Sizemore: My great grandfather built a house, which has a LOT of history to it. My ghost story is about his house. Downstairs was fine. No weird feelings or anything out of the ordinary. But the upstairs, as a child, I would experience shadow people. I never wanted to go up there. It would be at the top of the stairs and one bedroom only, like it was stuck there. One night my mom and I were passing through town and needed to stay the night with my aunt who lived there. The only room available to sleep was that room. I told my mom I didn't like that room. She told me that she was with me and we would be fine. (She was raised in the house but never stayed in that room due to another nonfamily member that lived there.) So we went to bed and the next morning I woke up and there was a black hooded nondescript thing hovering over me. I screamed, which woke my mom up and it disappeared. My mom turned on the light and the sheets were covered in blood! I had a nosebleed. So tuck that back as a freaky story that we told no one, at a cousins funeral my uncle (who also at one time lived there) got to talking about spirits and ghost and said, yeah the upstairs of nannys house had shadow people. I nor my mom had never told anyone about it! And he said, I never worried about it cause I never went in that room to the right of the stairs. It really gave me goosebumps!

I've heard that dead people try to communicate through technology and I swear to God we spent like 10 minutes trying to turn it on and it wouldn't work... creeped me out and I think it was my dad
Miss_Nemesis: A few years ago we had a house ghost of sorts that we called Carl. He was a nice ghost, except for the fact that he liked playing on the stairs and left creepy handprints on the mirror when we showered. This one time it was just me and my friend over and we were hungry and were talking about making pizza rolls soon. A few minutes later we heard the microwave going and when we went down to check, there were pizza rolls in the microwave. Another time that didn't involve Carl was at my Mom's house and we were talking about my great grandmother when suddenly a picture frame scooted off of the shelf and onto the floor. And not like it just fell over, it moved to the edge of the shelf and /then/ fell. There have been various things like this that have happened to our family members, so we just laughed it off "haha, hi Granny" and continued our conversation.

Michelle Pedersen knudsen: this story is just one out of many. i was 11 or 12 years it was early afternoon and was writing a song in my room as i would do almost everyday back then. at some point i had to go the bathroom and as i open my door i see this little girl proberly 8 or 9 years old with a white lace dress long blond curly hair walking right past me through our hallway and in to the kitchen, she stopped at our kitchentable and started to reach for our cabinettes, i tried to ask who she was but then she disapeared. i never saw her again but i did hear a lot of giggly noises, but it didn't bother me because it never felt evil or anything. she was just there and that was okay as long as she didn't try to scare me.

krista3030: I had a friend that his grandmother passed away so he had to sell her house. It was a farmhouse in the country. She loved her house and family had tried to get her to sell it to move closer to them. She always refused. When he arrived at her house to paint it and clean it up and get it ready for sale he said there was an angry feeling. The first night he was staying over he could hear furniture moving around on the first floor. The next morning all of the furniture was everywhere so he decided to nail down some pieces into the plank floor. The next night he slept again and came down the next morning and noticed the furniture had not moved. He walked into the kitchen and noticed the table set and all of the cupboard doors were open. Silverware was scattered all over the floor. Totally freaked out and got a family member to finish the sale.

Gosh Kob: When I was in my early 20’s I lived in a Chicago suburb called River Grove, it was close to the intersection of Harlem and Belmont. Me and my mom lived in a one bedroom apartment building. I was ‘’the lucky one’’ who got the one and only bedroom in the apartment. Now I should probably mention before I tell my story before we moved in the owner of that apartment building said the old man living there before was a smoker and he smoked so much inside the apartment everything had to be repainted and the carpet had to be replaces because of the smell and everything turning yellow from the smoke. To this day I believe the old attended died inside that apartment even though the owner never specified that. There were other old people (in their 80-90’s) living in this specific building and let’s face it the only way older people move out is by let’s call it ‘’kicking the bucket’’. Back to my story. I would always feel someone was watching me especial while I was taking a shower. As soon as I was taking a shower and would close my eyes to wash my face I could feel the presence move from outside the bathroom door right up to my face almost as if staring me down…this happened every time I would take a shower after a while I would refuse to shower while I was alone at home. I also had my cable box turn on and off… I would turn it on it would turn back off. I would repeat this 3 times with same results. As soon as I would call my mom in from the kitchen it would stay on. After A while I tried to think it’s just me and my imagination until the one night it happen...I was in bed it was a school night even though I was not tired I decided to turn the TV off in my bedroom and try to fall asleep since it was around midnight. As soon as I turned the TV off and tried to get comfortable in bed …the minute I stopped moving something/ someone pulled full force on the edge of my blanked as if trying to rip it off of me. I was so terrified I turned my lamp on my night stand, did an Olympic like jump as far away from my bad as possible and just stared at it as if it was floating in the air…I then started walking around the bed looking if there is something that can explain what just happen in my desperate attempt I even looked under the bed. But there was nothing there and of course I slept with the TV and light on all night. The next morning, I would tell my mom what happened but she just said it was probably a dream, I was sleepy blah blah but I knew that was NOT the case. That was the first and only night this happened thank goodness we didn’t live in that apartment long after that. When we moved out I asked my mom again was there really nothing she felt wrong while we lived there. Of course, then she told me yes there was something there I felt it too but I didn’t want to scare you…I thought to myself great mom so it’s better that I just think that I’m crazy or something. Since we moved out I never had the feeling of being watched or blankets pulled off of me it was only in that place. I wont mentioned I am still completely terrified to sleep in an empty, quiet room alone #scaredforlife. I hope whatever sole is trapped in there finds peace, unless he/she is there just to scare the living life out of anyone who dares to move in.

I had a combo record player and double tape deck cassette player. the power button had to be pushed in to turn it on and pushed in and released to turn it off. I had been listening to Bob Seger and all was good. I got up and put in my Guns N Roses cassette and sat on my bed. the music cut off and I got back up and turned the stereo back on. as soon as I sat back down, the music cut off again. So I turned it back on but stood there watching the power button. welcome to the Jungle was playing. I watched the power button depress and release all by itself thus turning off the music again. it took great effort not to poop in my pants. there was no way for that to happen by itself. I put Bob Seger back in the cassette player and it didn't happen again until I switched it out for G&R. once G&R was back in the stereo cut off once again. we lived in an old farmhouse and the original owner, Chuck Howard, apparently died in the house and it was rumored to be haunted. after the music issue, I believed it. Chuck did not like hard rock.

Liz Dionisio: I see/feel creepy things all the time, but I'm an anxious person, so I chalk basically anything hard to explain as a hallucination. Recently though, I'd kept seeing similar shadows and feeling the presence of an old woman near the end of my bed. I've felt malicious type spirits before, but she didn't feel very dangerous, so I shrugged it off even though it kept happening (Important Note: because i kept shrugging it off, i told no one about it.)One night, my boyfriend and I were downstairs watching a movie, when my younger sister came down looking, well, like she'd just seen a ghost. We asked her what was wrong and she told me that as she was walking past my bedroom, she saw an old lady standing right by my bed. At this point though, even though she's frightened, we can tell she's skeptical. She's moreso telling us about the crazy trick her mind just played on her excitedly than telling us about the spirit she just saw. I went, "oh no, don't tell me that." She goes "...why" "Because I've seen her, too." We slept on the couch that night, as per her request, lol.

I suddenly heard a scratching noise by the front door; which was right next to me. I was so confused because it was 12:00 or 12:34 I don't really remember but I put my 2 year old brother, JJ or James to sleep so he's not up. My other 6 year old dog was upstairs laying on my bed so it wasn't him and my puppy was right on my lap in front of me. Nadine Elena: when I was little, around 8 yrs old maybe, I was sleeping in my room with my cousin. In the middle of the night I was awakened by my cousin talking in her sleep. I sat up and watched her and I was giggling. As I was watching her I looked at the door which is placed in front of my bed, there was my dad standing there holding his water bottle and he was smiling at me (no my dad isn't dead, he's still alive). He just stood there, and I smiled at him and I pointed at my cousin who was still talking in her sleep, I was kinda gesturing to him that it was funny. and I fell back to sleep. The next day we went to Sea World and I told my parents about my cousin talking in her sleep, and I was like "dad, you heard it right? you were there!" and my dad said "No I wasn't there." And Seriously it wasn't lucid dreaming or any of that, it was real, i was awake. I still don't have the answer to that...
Mae V.: My grandpa died at my house (outside tho) and ever since he has passed weird stuff has been happening. The microwave will turn on my itself, stuff will fall off counters with no explanation. A lot of pictures have had orbs or weird streaks of light in them. But one day I was having a bad day, I was really missing my grandpa and I thought to myself "if you are around can you show a sign" Later that night I was walking outside and it was v dark out. It was a cloudless night with absolutely no wind. My dog started barking and all of a sudden this thing that looked like a condensed cloud of fog was floating a few feet in front of my and just above eye level. It flew(floated?) to me (remind you there is no wind at all) and right to my face, almost touching me. Then it floated up to the night sky and slowly disappeared. I never felt scared, I almost just felt peace and curiosity. I couldn't sense anything evil and anything negative about the lil cloud. GUYS I WISH I WAS MAKING THIS UP. I have always been skeptical and I still am, but idek all this stuff has made me a bit of a believer.

Joy Walsh: my last flat in the top half of a victorian house was haunted, i lived with Dottie the old lady ghost for 7 years. she was sweet, she looked after me, if i accidentally left a glass too close to the edge on the kitchen counter shed push it back, if i put a sharp knife down and it went sharp side up shed turn it over for me. when i would be in the kitchen cooking or cleaning with music on id catch glimpses of her dancing in the hallway. she was a white haired old lady in blue twin set and tweed skirt with those fuzzy old lady slippers on. i went and saw a white witch abd a clairvoyant and they both described her perfectly and both said that back in the 1920s she lived in the house (it was converted to flats in the 60's) and loved it and would paint in what was my bathroom because of the light. she would come visit because she loved the flat abd liked me. they said her husband was called Charles and he'd visit occasionally. id come home after work etc and open my living room door to the smell of cigar smoke! my cat was fine living there but she would watch things i couldn't see move around the room and meow and purr at them - late at night that would wig me out!!!

While I was in labor with her, I could smell my dad's cologne and I could feel a........ well, a 'weight' is the only way I can describe it - on my shoulder. To this day, I know he was there with me. What I always thought was cool, was that the day she was born was Grandparents Day.

Helideth Sanchez: I hope you read this. My scary story by far happened when I was pregnant. It is a long story so Im sorry but its worth it. My boyfriend woke me up screaming my name because he had said that he saw something standing in the corner of our room one night. I was like oh whatever you probably were asleep but I did believe him to an extent. About a week later I woke up in the middle of the night. Our window was open so the moon light was shining in. I saw my boyfriend standing by my bed staring at the place my boyfriend sleeps. I kept looking at him and was like why is he just standing there smiling. His eyes were wide open they looked white and he was just smiling. He was wearing all black. After 5 min I was like okay maybe he is sleep walking let me lay him down on the bed. when I reached over and felt my boyfriend sleeping I froze. I screamed his name and when I did this the thing that was standing by the bed looked at me. My boyfriend jumped up and covered me in a way of protection. We turned on the lights and nothing was there. I now never sleep without a night light. I sleep with a rosery as well. It scares me even now. I can tell you everything in detail, i was wide awake when I saw the thing. it made me cry for about an hour. I still live here because we are trying to find a house but we rent the room with my parents in the mean time.
LadySapheira: i have a story....so i was at my moms house one night just cruisin the net late at night. Everyone else was asleep in their bed. now my moms house had a residual ghost she had named rose cuz when she came around, you could smell rose perfume. anyway, as i was sitting at the computer, i began to smell the rose perfume. i greeted the ghost by saying "hello rose". she lingered around for a bit, then i politely asked her to leave cuz her perfume was giving me a headache, and she did. the scent was gone. that is one of like 5 stories. want more, let me know!!

Becky's Balcony: I had two ghost experiences, one was a female friend that died so after she died I was shopping one day and i found an outfit I liked a lot and I felt this huge black spirit come up from behind me I froze standing there not able to move or turn around for a few minutes then the feeling went away and I continued to shop. The second one was after my late husband died, my daughter and i were still living in our house and one day my daughter and I were talking and we heard a clanking sound in the pitching like someone was clanking silverware on the dishes, we heard it twice. We knew it was my late husband because the kitchen was his favorite area he liked to cook. My daughter and I smiled and said hello to my late husband and told him we love him and miss him. Also after my husband passed away in 2012 I took pictures of the night sky and when i looked at the picture I saw ghost in the picture. NO LIE the ghost forms in the picture is REAL.

Mari Willdermood: I have two ghost stories. The first experience I had was when I was a little girl. My sister and I spent the night at one of our older sister's house and had set up a sleeping bag for us in her living room. Our older sister and her husband slept in their bedroom. We all went to sleep and then all of a sudden I wake up in the middle of the night and when I look up I see a large man standing above my sister and I and he's staring a me. It was not my brother-in-law because he's very thin. When I saw the man I instantly thought of "The Incredible Hulk" because that's how big he looked. I freaked out and crawled to the bottom of the sleeping bag, curled into a ball and slept there the rest of the night. I was a terrified little girl! The second experience was around 18 years ago. My husband was at work, my two sons were asleep in their room and I was sleeping in my room. I was just waking up and I suddenly heard, "Mama" so I sat up and looked in the direction where the voice came from but no one was there. I then got up and checked on my sons and they were still fast asleep. I found out later that a friend and her boyfriend had heard the same thing when she lived in an apartment on the same property. Freaky!

Katie Bishopp: This past September me and two friends actually got to go on a private tour just the 3 of us in an old hospital/insane asylum/ poor house called rolling hills in new York. we got a picture of a figure and a recording of an old man speaking clearly and there was only 3 girls in the room. iEnjoyIt: I have experienced a crazy thing at my moms house. I got the biggest slap in my face I have ever had while I was sleeping... And I was completely alone in this room and the door was too far away from my bed so that the person who maybe did this can't ran away without me seeing him/her. And after that I stood up and turned on the lights to see if someone is hiding... But nope... Nobody exept me was in this room. And I had a red mark of a big hand in my face... Creapy af!
lily Beth: A couple experiences for me. My grandma passed in 2007 ish... that night I was sitting in bed reading. No blankets on me not leaning against anything. I smelled her perfume and felt a light warm hand on my shoulder. I didn't feel scared at all. More of a "I love you, I'm here for you." feeling. Good experience. Fast forward, my dad passed in 2014. I was preparing to move and needed to just vent outloud. Went to my grandparents gravesite (father is cremated, no plot). Sat down, talked out loud, once i felt ready to leave I ask outloud "Dad, I need to know you are with me and are watching out for me. Please, I need a sign from you." I get I my car and shut my door and my horn beeps three times. Did not set the alarm. Did not put my keys in the ignition. Didn't touch my key fob. My car has never ever done that. Logically I think it's the alarm but it doesn't make sense. Those are just my personal experiences. Nothing over dramatic or scary. So yes, I believe your spirit or energy is around after your body shuts down.

Jessica crazy farm life: My grandparents live in an old farm house that our family has own for 200 years. we live next door. a few years ago I came home one night and there was a light was on. it was the 2nd floor my grandparents only live on 1st floor. they never go up there. I thought my uncle had maybe gone up there because he had some of his stuff up there. the next night I saw it still on I said something to my mom. the next day my dad and grandpa went up and it was the light that was on it one of those old lamps u need to turn on and it hard to turn on. my grandpa called my uncle he said he hadn't been up there in weeks. very creepy. there was also talk about them selling the farm. My mom thought my dad relatives were upset and don't sell the farm. they never did. now my grandpa in that big old house alone but they don't bother him.

samo530: I do believe in ghosts BUT I do not believe that they are spirits of people who were once alive. I think they are demons who pretend to be spirits of people to cause confusion about where the dead are and make them doubt the word of God about what happens when you die. I have had experiences with hauntings, seeing/hearing apparitions so I know first hand it's not a joke. Lol if I saw something like that I'd be tearing that bed apart to see who was inside of it and then just cleanse the house and go make dinner.
Briana Reeves: My best friend and I were having a sleepover at my house when we were 12 (we're now 25 & still talk about this). We both heard heavy BREATHING, that sounded like a man, coming from the corner of my bedroom. We tried to get my parents to witness it with us but the ghost would only breathe when it was the two of us in my room. Liz Dionisio: I see/feel creepy things all the time, but I'm an anxious person, so I chalk basically anything hard to explain as a hallucination. Recently though, I'd kept seeing similar shadows and feeling the presence of an old woman near the end of my bed. I've felt malicious type spirits before, but she didn't feel very dangerous, so I shrugged it off even though it kept happening (Important Note: because i kept shrugging it off, i told no one about it.)One night, my boyfriend and I were downstairs watching a movie, when my younger sister came down looking, well, like she'd just seen a ghost. We asked her what was wrong and she told me that as she was walking past my bedroom, she saw an old lady standing right by my bed. At this point though, even though she's frightened, we can tell she's skeptical. She's moreso telling us about the crazy trick her mind just played on her excitedly than telling us about the spirit she just saw. I went, "oh no, don't tell me that." She goes "...why" "Because I've seen her, too." We slept on the couch that night, as per her request, lol.

Cara Picone: My parents' house (the original part of it) is over 250 years old. There have been some weird things that my family has seen and heard (never me for some reason). One common thing that my parents and grandparents have all heard is a bell. Also when we first moved in, the painter heard the bell, came downstairs and saw a man in what may have been a Civil War era solider's uniform ringing a bell. There was one night that my mom was going up to bed and it was dark in the house, when suddenly that man appeared right in her face. She got startled and he disappeared, but she noticed she was about to trip over the vacuum, and it was like he warned her. My mom also had an article of clothing completely stolen...she never found it again. There was one time someone slammed a door that had been wide open and there weren't any windows open. My sister saw something on the dining room ceiling that looked like someone was dragging their fingers along it and making trails. She also says she saw a hand reach out of the room once. AGAIN...I haven't seen any of this. But I don't think my family would make it up, they're all super logical and skeptical people. Probably me more than them, but I have heard that people who aren't receptive to these experiences may not even notice them. Who knows...
peppermintjamie: When my husband and I got married he was a total skeptic. We moved into an apartment and many things happened to me. Finally one night we were in bed and I gasped, startled because this weird beach ball sized shadow would hover in the upper corner of the room, and a second or two after you registered that it was there, it would rush at your face to the point that your vision would be completely blacked out. After a few seconds your vision would come back and everything would be fine....Anyway, this time he was still awake, heard me gasp and asked me what was wrong. I told him what I had seen, and that it happened all the time and he got really quiet. After a moment or two he asked "You can see them too?" He thought that he was going crazy or having a problem with his eye sight. Together we discussed whether it could be a car driving by or other light play but we realized that we had seen them in at least three of the four corners of the room....

Caren Collins: I've had multiple ghost experiences. My first was in our old church that I used to help clean. It was late at night and we saw this old woman in the choir loft. She was just standing there looking at us. We did a double take and she was gone. Another time the hymn books started flying out of the pews when it was just me and my sister there. Another time it was actually my dad in my house years after he died. I clearly saw him walking across the living room and then the next day I saw a tall shadow (he was 6'9") in my bedroom. We also had a paranormal team come out to our house and they caught a little boy voice saying help me. I am an empath so maybe thats why.

Natalith Viera: me and my cousins were dancing in the little house that's in our backyard and they say a lady died here. so we danced and then my cousins screamed and ran out of the room the said she say a lady in the chair that was right in front of us.(their mom/my aunt passed also) they slept over and we slept in the living room and at night we heard footsteps but there was no one there and we were already pretending to be asleep so we won't get caught but no one came. we tried to stay calm and pretend like nothing happened. in the morning we asked every person in the house if they got out of their room at night.

Talon Jade: When I was a kid, I talked to my dead great grandfather whom I had never met. He died before I was even born, my parents used to walk passed my room and hear me having full conversations. I've had quite a few experiences & both my parents are quite intuitive, I get it from them.
lizzie: also omg georgia is SO haunted. it's a really old state with a lot of rich (and sometimes negative like all of the plantations and other Civil War-Era areas) history so I'm soooo surprised that they haven't experienced even more growing up there. even the Vampire Diaries cast have experienced stuff while filming in Georgia... (Atlanta's more modern so it would make more sense not experiencing something there, but Savannah's a magnet for that kind of activity)
