While what is happening in Syria is a huge tragedy, it was amazing to see people stepping up and showing compassion and grace to hurting people. I literally got to see people "Be nice to people!" I was so blessed by that experience! I love the challenge to think about the awesome rather than focus on the negative. Josh, what breed is Shadow?? My dad got back on his road bike (not a motorcycle, it's a push bike like the Olympians) after getting seriously hit by a car at the start of the year, and the driver is a cyclist. They should know better, and there are laws for drivers when sharing the road with cyclists.
- Lauren Stroble: Bad: we struggled with infertility and had our second ectopic pregnancy (baby attaches to Fallopian tube) had to have surgery to remove. Good: we successful had a procedure a few months later and got pregnant and expecting in August 2017.

So basically, we have people in charge of the rides at all times. There's the supervisor (1st in charge), team leader (2nd in charge), and the 3rd in charge. I was so fortunate to be named that third in charge, and I couldn't have been much happier at the time 😊

This is one of the best things that could have happened because I have a rare hereditary disease that caused me to have 5 surgeries on my back in the last 4 years.

- Jennifer Taylor: My 2016 started out awful when my 15yo son and youngest child decided to move in with his dad an hour and a half from me so he could attend a different school. But, then I got a job finally after searching for so long and not only that but, a job I love. Plus, I was promoted after only 3 months! I have found myself as a person instead of just a wife or mother in the process which is amazing. I also got back with an old BF who tells me he appreciates me and that I deserve great things which is wonderful to hear. I feel like it was a pretty good year for me.

I moved schools for the first time in my life and that was really hard for me but it turned out to be amazing and I became such good friends with so many of the people at my new school. I got better at singing and even got to audition for America's Got Talent. I even got to go to Pennsylvania over summer. There have been quite a few good things that had happened to me in 2016 but there were definetly a lot of bad things. But, those bad things ended up turning into really good things. I was taken from my mom a week before my birthday in January and that's what made me a better and stronger person and it made me wake up from my own dream land and I actually see what the real world is like. I think that 2016 was the best and worst year of my life.

They push to hard, they make mistakes, and they don't deserve any less respect. I'm lucky and not deserving of them. My life was actually pretty good in 2016. All these were actually pretty hard to find as my year was particularly full of sad events and lost loved ones... But you're right, 2016 also had its part of good things :)

The thing is, no matter how bad a year, month, week, day or even hour is.. There's always some moment of joy. Some bit of beauty that keeps us all going.

- NinetyStyle7: I was involved in a car accident in 2016. The trauma of that as well as the hard times following in the hospital really broke me and brought out my angry and vulnerable side. My partner, who saw the whole accident, stuck by me the whole time. We're both seeing an amazing psychologist who's helped us immensely. But, despite the odds being against us and having to have lonely nights apart, I have been utterly surprised and grateful for my amazing partner. We've come out of this stronger than ever and we feel we can conquer anything. That's what I'm grateful for from 2016

- Lily Geddes: i appreciate everyone's comments. But I need to be real. I know I am luckier than some. But this year broke me. I escaped a violent and abusive marriage in which I thought I would die. I am close to being evicted from my home. I couldn't afford Christmas presents for my children. I have watched my precious children experience things no child should have to see. I've starved and not eaten for up to 7 days so that my children could eat. My health has been horrible, mental and physical. Last year almost killed me, and although I am glad to be alive, I refuse to downplay the enormous hardship I went through. This year will be better. Once my divorce is final, it will be better. But until then, I look back in 2016 with nothing but disdain and hatred. It was the worst year of my life.

Also I think it's worth to mention that it's a very odd thing for young ballerinas from my country to actually go to this kind of stuff, many audition but almost nobody ends up going, and the fact that my experience inspired so many others from my school to try out and work harder towards a higher goal than just staying in my country is amazing , I think it really made them think that there are more possibilities out there... whoops this ended up being veeeryy long 😊

- susan filgiano: 2015 annnnddd 2016 sucked for me. i went though and am still coming out of a dark time for me. through it all i struggled to find purpose to stay alive and to keep going. i found it when i bought tickets to see 5sos live for the first time since liking them 4 years ago and when i went to see twenty one pilots in concert for the first time. i realized that no matter how hard life gets and how awful people can be to you you just have to keep looking forward to the things that make you happy in life. for me that is music and forgetting about all the bad things in life. in 2017 i want to always be as happy as i was at both of those concerts combined everyday of my life for now on no matter what happens.

He left early March for Basic Training and as of December 28th we are finally back together in our new home in GERMANY!❤❤❤ The day my husband graduated Basic Training was one of the best days of our lives. We went a full 75 days without seeing each other and only communicating via snail mail (Thursday's became my favorite day of the week because that's when I always got letters from him). When family day came around and we finally saw each other we both cried like babies lol (my sister-in-law got it on video!). Then of course the day I flew into Germany with our cat & dog, seeing him waiting for us girls at pick up (he had to go a month before me😢) was the most relieving moment of 2016. I couldn't be happier & more proud of us with how we handled this change in our lives❤

I became an auntie to my twin baby nephews (Joseph Emery, and Justice Anthony) on October 13th, although they were very premature, they are doing amazing! My best friend also won a contest for us to be flown to New York to meet my favorite band, Little Mix on December 15th! Happy New Year to you! Let's go 2017! ♡

I moved back home in February which thankfully was the best thing I had done in a long time, I put myself first and so much changed, I found myself, I started up my channel, I discovered youtubers I hadn't watched before, yourself included! I ended the year happy, no crying on NYE like usual, I feel at peace and so happy I had this year at home because now I know where I want to go from here, I am surrounded by happiness right now, I may not have any friends where I live lol but I am just happy doing life and can't wait for what the future brings, been amazing joining you on this journey at last Joshua, glad you have Shadow with you at last! - Katy Meehan: 2016 completely sucked for me, I almost died in a car accident caused by a deer jumping out onto the road, my grandfathers who both have severe Alzheimer's were put in nursing homes and no longer know who I am or have any memory of me, I almost lost both of my grandmothers, our family was in and out of the hospital and was immensely bullied at my school to where I had to transfer to a school two states away. 2016 sucked but then at the end of august I met the possible love of my life and he has been such a great support in my life! Thank you josh for all the happiness you bring to me, and you were also one of the great things about 2016, you also had a really rough year but seeing you jump back from it is truly inspiring!!

- terry crane: we grow during the tough segments of life and expand in the good sections. We keep a jar in the kitchen with pen and paper and write down any event that made an an impression on us. This New Years Eve we read the comments for 2016 and it is amazing how many you forget and so we laughed, cried, discussed our growth after some of the comments and we were both encouraged to keep the jar going. My daughter, Moriah, went to see you in Tacoma in 2016 and her friend Tracy was ill and could not go...you took her picture with the sign that wished Tracy well...Please know that Tracy thought that was so sweet and caring...Good for you to video the good parts of last year. Funny that you named your dog Shadow...because he sure brings a lot of light into your life (we love him too). I just did my first random act of kindness this year buying a YouTuber a 3 month supply of some pills to stop her craving for sweets (I bought them for me too). Never met her, just watch her videos and wanted to help. She allowed that and it feels so good. In 3 months we are going to compare notes to see if it worked or not.
- Ariel Clark: I had a really difficult 2016 but I also had a really magical year. my biggest dream has always been to go to New York and see a Broadway show. So I took a New York trip and traveled by myself for a perfect Broadway weekend. It was better than I ever could have imagined!!!!
