Katy Crooks: ok guys. y'all should really listen to josh.he has made a major difference in my life. a few weeks ago, i went to his concert. there was a meet and greet. now, i am in a thing called Partners PE where students at my school dedicate their PE time to the special needs kids at my school. there is one special needs kid in particular named Glen who has down syndrome and truly loves Josh, Colleen, and Miranda. even though the concert was for my birthday, i really wanted to go because Glen was moving away and i wanted to give him something that he could always look back at and know that he is something that no one can change and he will always have great people by his side. anyway, at the meet and greet, i came up to Rebecca Zamolo because i needed a huge favor from her. i needed a video for Glen. she then gladly took my phone to speak with Joshua about the favor that i really needed and he kindly agreed. That is how good of a person Josh is. Once Josh came out, he game me huge hug and asked my name and talked to me like he had known me for years. we filmed a video for Glen and he said some of the kindest things i had ever heard.the next day at school i showed Glen the video of josh talking to him and all he could say was, " he said he loves me. i love him too. he knows my name. I'm so happy. Thank you so much Katy." I was obviously crying by that point and he texts me every day saying thank you. these little drops of kindness can really make ones day you guys. that was the last day i saw Glen. Please, if you ever see a special needs person like Glen, or any person who looks like they need a hug, talk to them. you don't know what they have gone through until you step up and put them before you. I hope you saw this and it inspired you to do something good for others. And also, Thank You Joshua. :)

There is more violence in this world today than there ever has been. "Let's make a change to this country"... We have been saying this for over 400 years... Why hasn't it changed? There is something profoundly wrong with this system. It's not working. None of this is working. What we need to figure out is what is and what is causing this awful feedback loop that our country is stuck in. Once we find the answer, THEN we can change this broken system and repair and heal America, and heal as people.

I've dealt with the worst, I've lost my mother. she was only 34 and was killed. at the funeral I did my best to make everyone happy and positive but it's hard. all my life I've had to take care of my family, do so many chores just to brighten there day. even as I remember my mom was sick one day and she took medicine which made her sleepy. she passed out in the bathroom and when I went looking for her I just grabbed all of my blankets made a bed on the floor and I tried so hard to move my mom to the bed which took a while but I made it and tucked her in all cozy. my brother was worried so I let him sleep with her and keep an eye out for her while I layed on the bed without a pillow and without covers. I do my best every day to help my family. but inside me a deep depression which hurts has taken over me at points and it makes me think that I should quit or give up my life, that I'm worthless and nothing more. but I must stay for I am important. the world I realized is hurting because of decisions that people only people make. yes Noone knows why these people make decisions like to kill or hurt someone physically. I will never understand the meaning of it. but I'd like to show people to a brighter edge I'm someone who trys to choose good and everyday works hard at it. I've had to deal with seeing the person who killed my mom and look him into the eyes and try not to explode. it's hard and I have so much more in my life that brings me down but we have to stand back up and help others become stronger and change our future for the better. if Noone changes it than who will? we have to choose good over the bad even if it means going above and beyond and josh you help everyone out being so positive and helpful. but like everyone else in the world we hurt sometimes. yes, and it changes our lives. I'm only 13. and I've gone through so much. but it's important to have loved ones and good in our life.
